Art education in design has repeatedly stressed the importance of developing creativity. In the digital period, however, which shows rapid change in both forms and contents, it needs to be equipped with more flexible and systematic ways of approaching to the creativity development, especially involved with cultural diversity of the digital world. This paper primarily proposes a maximally efficient, productive creativity learning program in which the integration of expressive media and communication generates a comprehensive network of communicative information in the development of digital technologies, which, consequently, brings forth valuable cultural contents of art. The amalgamation of Won (2006)'s Prism Effect, with distinctive three devices, and the facilitator factors, with two different facilitators such as self-controlled and controlled plays, would function as a catalyst for cultural diversity in the digital forms and contents of art. And this will, consequently, result in producing a number of practices that can be classified and assorted for a later performance. This paper thus suggests a roadmap of how to develop the creativity learning program in which two categories of facilitators based on three thinking devices function to classify four activities. In addition, selected activities are shaped as a creativity learning program by generating learning practices with the formalizing instructional strategy that fit into a specialized educational environment and learners. The samples of loaming practice design show guidelines for practice and the results of learning activity. Therefore, the eventual goal of this paper would be to establish a creativity learning program that constitutes a highly systematized and modularized database to maximize the efficiency and productivity of the creativity development.
Libraries have a variety of resources due to the endless changes of the library environment. Electronic resources have become the one of the important library resources. As an electronic resource, e-Book has emerged recently and is worth of notice to be a great resource in the libraries. This study reviews the history and special features of the e-Book. This paper analyzes the functions and problems of e-Book and changes of the library services related e-Book. The purpose of the study is to point out the problems and suggest the possible solutions of e-Book usages in the university libraries by the survey.

Purpose: Recently teaching nursing to undergraduate students has been based on the constructive teaching method to achieve the core nursing competency. Therefore, non-traditional teaching methods should be introduced for a stimulated interaction between the lecturer and students and to increase information retention and interest in nursing. The purpose of this paper was to review current issues related to the use of cinema in nursing education. Method: A literature review was conducted to grasp the definition of cinemeducation and to identify the uses, merits, and demerits of using cinema in nursing education. Conclusion: Cinemeducation is an innovative approach to teaching multi-cultural diversity in medicine and nursing. It is possible to conduct cinemeducation to deepen student's understanding of cross-cultural issues and to evoke imagination, empathy, and narrative. Movies are funny, entertaining, and readily enjoyed by learners. Since individuals portrayed in movies are not real, learners can be more honest and objective about their reactions to these characters. In addition, movies as instructional media are economical. I would like to suggest more curriculum development for the use of movies.
Multimedia systems design generally requires a collaborative effort from a group of designers with a variety of backgrounds and tasks, such as content experts, instructional designers, media specialists, users, and so forth. The fact that the designers have totally different backgrounds and tasks may hinder their collaboration. This research develops a collaborative design tool for multimedia systems design, called the Designer's Cafe, with which multimedia designers can share their design knowledge on the Web freely. Designer's Cafe consists of three intelligent agents that are designed for supporting collaboration activities of multimedia designers. The intelligent agents are implemented by using JAVA SCRIPT and COLD FUSION. By using the tool, designers create, revise, and share their knowledge/ideas in very structured ways. The structured design process might enhance the collaboration activities of designers while designing a multimedia system within a virtual working space.
This study aimed to analyze the current trends and future issues of the creativity development research in the Korean engineering education. The analysis led to categorizing the previous research topics into the following five domains: (i)systems and media (ii)instructional strategies and methodologies (iii)curriculum (iv)evaluation and (v) learner characteristics. The analysis further deduced more detailed sub-domains from each of the five domains. In addition, this study investigated publication frequencies of each domain and sub-domains and grasped specific flows of past research topics. Finally, based upon the analysis, this study drew implications and ramifications for creativity development studies in the Korean engineering education, elucidated future issues and refined upcoming research agendas. It is hoped that this research will articulate the present status of the studies that deal with creative education catering to engineering students and help set paths for future research.
Despite the relatively short history of Social Network Sites or Services (SNS), it has quickly gained popularity with more than seven hundred million users all over the globe. The SNS emerged as one of the strongest cultural influences for the contemporary society. The SNS would provide both chances and challenges for Education. The main purpose of the article was to explore the way education react and adapt to the emergence of social network and SNS. It tried to provide major theoretical grounds that bridge education and social network. In the due process, the researchers have examined the curriculum and instructional design process of education from the perspective of disruptive and sustainable aspect of SNS technology. Consequently, four major theoretical grounds were identified and reviewed: Gibson's theory of affordance, Vygotsky's social constructivism, Rha's human visual intelligence theory, and the network theory. By investigating these theories, the educational potentials of social network and SNS were emerged. The SNS was viewed as a new medium with abundant potentials of expanding the learning space, empowering the affective aspects of learning, and facilitating the formation of group intelligence. Finally, some future implications and challenges of SNS were suggested.
Teachers' perception on educational attributes of new technologies can be dealt with a critical factor for enhancing educational effectiveness through using new technologies in education. The present study attempts to identify teachers' perceptions on educational attributes of cutting edge technologies established through a government-driven educational agenda, "The rural public school model", To achieve this purpose, e-survey was conducted for analyzing the differences of teachers' perceptions on educational attributes of TPCs, e-Whiteboards, and Fastel according to teachers' working areas, school levels, teaching experiences, and training experiences. Participants were 123 elementary school teachers (male:62, female:61) and 66 middle school teachers (male:37, female:29) who are working in the rural public model schools (Gyeonggi: 29, Chungcheong: 12, Jeolla: 30, Gyeongsang: 88, Gangwon: 22, Jeju: 8). The results are as follows: firstly, there were statistically significant differences according to regions, but no significant difference according to school levels; secondly, significant differences in teacher's perceptions on educational attributes of TPCs and Fastel according to teacher's teaching experiences were not shown; thirdly, differences in teachers' perceptions according to their training experiences were meaningfully significant in terms of three new technologies, Based on research results, the implications and further studies are suggested in order to increase educational effectiveness and efficiency for using the technologies.

The purpose of this study is to obtain basic information necessary to set the content and direction of MIL cooperative teaching by analyzing elementary and secondary school teachers' MIL awareness and cooperative teaching experience. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on cooperative classes, media, and MIL among 401 teachers in the Gyeonggido Office of Education. The analysis results are as follows. ① It is necessary to provide teachers with the experience of cooperative classes and develop MIL cooperative class models and manuals, ② It is necessary to apply the MIL curriculum to school education and operate it as a cooperative classes, ③ The types of media used in the MIL curriculum should be developed by reflecting the development stage and the opinions of educational experts. ④ In the MIL curriculum, it is necessary to deal with 'information comprehension (reading) and evaluation competency education'. ⑤ It is necessary to use school libraries and teacher-librarians in promoting students' MIL improvement policies. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to conduct MIL cooperative instructional models and MIL curriculum studies.
The purpose of this study is to search for the ways to diversify Outdoor/Environmental Education Program in the Nature Study Center(NSC), especially for the middle school students. For this study, various research methods such as literature review, questionnaire survey (448 students, 11 middle school teachers, 19 NSC staffs), interview and participant observation are used the process of this study consists of two steps. The first step is to define research questions through pilot survey and the second is to investigate the research questions, in the form of hypotheses through main survey. Nine hypotheses are formulated. Six are related with program elements (educational goals, student characteristics, staff resources, teaching methods, instructional resources, contents). three are related with program implementation process(preplan, implementation, post-evaluation). The hypotheses are tested and alternatives for program improvement are proposed. 1. Educational goals : Educational goals of NSC should be focused on Outdoor /Environmental Education and each NSC should specialize on its own theme. The objectives of every sub-program should be unified toward educational goals. 2. Student characteristics: The Outdoor/Environmental Education Program should reflect student characteristics: sex, urban/rural origins, normal/handicapped, number of visit and so on. 3. Staff resources : Provide qualified staff with professional knowledge and positive attitudes, reeducate staffs periodically, reduce management staff and increase teaching staffs. Provide permanent and well paid position, encourage and give opportunities and the middle school teachers to participate in program. 4. teaching method: Increase outdoor classes two way communication between teaching staffs and students adopt more open ended teaching method so that students can exercise coworks in small groups. 5. Instructional resources: Diversify NSC sites(mountains, coastal areas, urban areas and so on), teaching media (audio/visual equipments, graphic design of signs). Consider design for handicapped and integrate indoor and outdoor educational facilities. Plan nature trails with separate themes, allign nature trail so that it passes through diverse environments. 6. Content : Reflect characteristic site potential specialize on day or night program, on seasonal program, and on site specific social issues(such as interpreting of environmental damages around the NSCs). 7. Preplan: Get Information and know about visiting students in advance. Discuss with middle school teachers and adjust program weeks before visits if many or all of the students had already visited a NSC. arrange a visit to other NSC. Provide an introductory class for the teachers and students before they visit a NSC. 8. Implementation: During NSC visit and classes apply various and appropriate techniques to collect in formation for later evaluation. Improve NSC provided evaluation sheet so as to reflect student characteristic. Compare with formal education and investigate on effects of NSC program. 9. Post-evaluation: Formalize a post-evaluation process and organization. During the winter vacation, develop new programs based on the post-evaluationacation, for the next year. Also, have comparative evaluation meetings of staff from various NSCs during the winter vacation while there is no visitors and classes.

It is a story through which people share their ideas and express their thoughts. Storytelling is temporally and spatially interconnected narration that consists of characters, background, its beginning and its conclusion. Furthermore, the story in storytelling is a means of delivering culture and history; thanks to the development of various media, delivering and exchanging the story are conducted in a variety of forms. Due to the technological advancement, the way storytelling is done has changed, which was a method called digital storytelling. This storytelling has been frequently used in education; that is, teachers utilize stories to communicate their thoughts. As receivers, students understand a shade of meaning and the role of language, thus reorganizing the important factors in the context of meaningful events. However, in practice the classes are so teacher-centered that the role of students are relegated to that of passive learners, thus debilitating the interaction between participants; as a result, this situation shows serious limitations in that it does not improve students' practical skills. Despite this situation, home economics has attempted to broaden students' practical knowledge and has enabled them to acquire procedural knowledge as its main objectives in the context of the entire life. To overcome this problem, this study attempts to demonstrate the lesson model utilizing the storytelling where the lively participation in the process and results of learning can increase learners' self-confidence and responsibility. This lesson model is believed to facilitate the communication among participants including teachers and students. Through this alternative teaching method, learners can participate in the process of learning so that they can acquire practical knowledge: this method can be a step-stone for further development. In conclusion, the development of curriculum and lesson plans should be encouraged.
