Evaluation of Installation Damage Factor for Geogrid using Maximum Particle Size of Backfill Material (뒤채움 최대입도를 이용한 지오그리드 보강재의 시공손상계수 산정 방법)

  • Reduction Factor for Installation Damage required for calculation of design strength of geogrid used in MSEW(mechanically stabilized earth wall) design is usually obtained in the field test simulating real construction condition. However, damages occurred in geogrid during backfill work are influenced by many factors such as polymer types, unit weight per area, backfill construction method and gradation of backfill material and field test considering these factors demands lots of time and costs. In this study, factors affecting installation damage are analyzed and empirical method for evaluating reduction factor for installation damage using maximum particle size in backfill material is suggested.

  • Currently, conventional fire prevention facility installation standard is based on the use and size of the domestic theaters. In the study, theaters with 1,900 seats were examined to suggest a suitable method to adapt a better fire preventing system. The proposed systems are as follow. - 100% of backup pressed-water outlet device, considering waterproof pressure for fire prevention facility at the top floor. - The supplement of the side wall type header and a large caliber outlet header for stage open sprinkler. - Subdividing a installation rule for special detector and implementing the latestdetector. - Installation of fire curtain for dividing stage area and auditorium area, and also the method of installation of fire curtain.

  • The accelerating of industrial development causes electricity demand to increase. By that power equipments need high power, multi function and intelligence. Also consumers demand for guarantee power supplying of good quality and reasonable operating equipment. Also they require for reliance and stabilization of power facility. Therefore preventive maintenance of electric installation must be developed and improvement of domestic technical level is needed in the maintenance management of equipment. The diagnosis of trouble existence is technique that compares steady state with unusual condition, whereas the prediction technique makes a diagnosis of remaining equipments life. It is difficult for us to diagnose trouble existence of electric installation and to develop prediction method in building because of a wide scope for electric installation in building. And in this paper we will investigate diagnosis and prediction method for only switch part of electric installation in building.

  • Workplace accidents are common while working at elevations. Thus, various safety measures such as safety handrails and horizontal safety nets are implemented to prevent falls. The minimum safety measure is the lifeline installation. However, because its standards have not been clearly established, it is often misused, resulting in inappropriate knot methods that increase the chance of accidents while working at elevations. Therefore, clarifying the appropriate usage methods or criteria for the various lifelines is required in the field. This study proposed an appropriate installation method by experimentally and numerically evaluating the change in strength according to the fixed knot lifeline method. In addition, three knot methods were specified for each material. The results obtained are expected to contribute to lessening falls through the establishment of lifeline installation standards and the development of appropriate parts.

  • 이등분한 실의 주광율(Daylight Factor)의 비를 규제도의 지수로서 Lumen Method와 같이 정하고, 이를 만족하는 실의 깊이를 검토한 후, 설계 평균 주광율을 만족하는 창의 면적을 구하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 창의 면적 자체가 다른 벽면의 면적 변화에 영향을 주고 있음을 고려하지 않은 종래의 방법을 개선하였다. 이후 주광율 요소 중 가장 지배적인 양인 운천공으로부터 입사하는 성분(SCo: Sky Component from overcast Sky)의 분포를 창의 위치와 형태를 변화시켜 조사, 평가하였다.

  • Electric power facilities must have effective grounding to provide means to carry electric current into the earth under fault conditions and to prevent damage of equipment, Ignition, and electrocution of presonnel. nuts paper present an algorithm called the Pattern Search method for the optimal parameters selection of the grounding system. Computer simulation results used the CDEGS grounding analysis program verifying the effects of the grounding system design parameters obtained from this method show that the grounding systems are adequately designed.

  • Power supply technique for electrodeless lamps, especially self-oscillation method, is presented in this paper for Endura of Osram. The power supply uses different method for high efficiency at high frequency operation compared to the conventional method using saturable transformer. Exact parameter tuning using simulation is suggested for effective design for real applications.

  • This paper presents the integrity evaluation method of the windings in cast resin transformers using vertical thermal distribution analysis. The method is to compare the temperature distribution in a sound condition specimen with that in the failure condition specimen layer-shorted by accelerated testing. The temperature distribution was acquisited by a infrared thermography system, and the Arrhenius equation was adopted to the accelerated testing. The proposed method may be available to detect the failures in cast resin transformers.

Takagi and M. Sugeno's fuzzy model. And we illustrate the improved characteristics as the simulation results, comparing with the conventional the PID and LQ controller design method

  • A new method for energy saving in the fluorescent lamps using rapid-start ballast was developed. Using this method, about 2 W of the power was saved. And for the measurement of the wattage and current in fluorescent lamp, circuits of the rapid-start type ballasts were analysed.
