BESS의 DR(Demand Response) 적용 시 수용가의 투자비 최소화를 위한 적정용량산출방법 (A Study on the Battery Storage Volume Optimization in case of DR Participation for the Minimization of the Customer's Investment Cost)

  • The BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) is an useful device for load leveling, but the high cost, installation space and safety issues are the main barriers for supplying it widely. The important factor in supplying BESS to customers successfully is the payback period. As most of the H/W cost factors are uncontrollable, the optimization of storage volume can be useful factor in improving payback period. In order to obtain optimized BESS volume, the load factor, demand ratio, peak shaving ratio, electric rates and benefits from DR participation of customer should be analyzed. In this paper, we could verify the peak cutting capability and cost effectiveness under the some proposed conditions and changing value of PCS and battery based on the customers data after volume optimization process was applied, and we can identified the saturation point of load factor and shortening of customer's payback period.

  • For reasons such as global warming, depletion of fossil fuels and the danger of nuclear energy the research and development of renewable energy is actively underway. Wind energy has advantages over another renewable energy in terms of location requirements, energy efficiency and reliability. Nowadays the research and development area is expanded to offshore because it can supply more wind reliability and free from noise pollution. In this study, the monopile offshore wind turbine transportation and installation (T&I) process are investigated. In addition, the schedule and cost for the process are estimated by discrete event simulation. For the simulation, simulation models for various means of T&I are developed. The optimum T&I execution plan with shortest duration and lowest cost can be found by using different mission start day and T&I means.

전력품질을 고려한 수용가 모선 가격 계산 (Customer Nodal Cost Calculation considering Power Quality)

  • 본 논문은 수용가에 대한 전력요금이 각 모선별로 부과될 경우 모선들의 전력품질을 측정하여 이를 비용화할 수 있다고 가정하였다. 이를 계통계획에 반영하여 예상되는 비용은 샘플계통을 통하여 다음과 같은 계산 방법을 제안하였다. 먼저 모선가격을 계산하기 위해서는 계통에서 전력설비의 운전조건은 최적조류계산에 의해 최적화되어 있는 상황으로 가정하여 모선가격[$/MVAH]을 산정하고, 계통의 각 모선에 연결된 부하들의 연중 발생하는 고장에 의해 탈락되는 피해비용을 산출하였다. 결과적으로 제안된 방법은 전력품질을 포함한 모선 총합 비용을 계산시 매우 효과적이였다.

  • The generation cost of photo voltaic is the most expensive among the renewable energy. To reduce the generation cost of photo voltaic, the proposed method added the regeneration power of elevator. Therefore we have the simulation results the proposed method is 60[%] higher than the previous photo voltaic generation for efficiency of generation.

  • This paper reviews electrodeless lamp technology. The lamp has very long life time but very high cost compared to conventional lamps such as fluorescent lamp.   • It is concentrated on a methodology to establish a scheme of investment on power distribution systems of components. This paper provides a methodology to estimate the scheme as using a customer interruption cost regarding reliability indices in power distribution systems. The proposed method basically uses the failure rate depending on time for explaining the deterioration of a component. Therefore, the theory of the sensitivity is used for deciding the precedence of the investment to consider an effect of each component's failure rate on the system reliability. After Estimating the sensitivity on component investment cost making incremental reliability level is produced by component's investment cost accumulated according to the precedence of the sensitivity. After that, the failure rate corresponding with reliability level on the curve of investment cost is used as producing the curve of customer interruption cost. Two curves have the crossing point that is proposed to acceptable reliability level for customer and utility. In this paper, the acceptable reliability level for customer with the utility is assessed to analyze customer interruption cost and sensitivity of reliability indices. In conclusion the result of investment based on this method is shown to the reliability level with two cost.

Theoretical Design for the Production of Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) in a Closed Plant Factory

  • Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is a grain crop with high nutritional value. The leaves and sprouts of quinoa can also be consumed either raw or cooked, providing considerably nutritional value as well as high antioxidant and anticancer activities. This study was carried out to obtain basic data to assist in the practical design of a plant factory with artificial lighting for the cultivation of quinoa as a leafy vegetable. We estimated the energy content of the quinoa and the electrical energy required to produce this crop. The yield was 1,000 plants per day, with a planting density and light intensity of $0.015m^2$ ($15{\times}10cm$) and $200{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, respectively. The total number of plants, cultivation area, and electricity consumption were estimated to be 25,000, $375m^2$, and $93,750{\mu}mol{\cdot}s^{-1}$, respectively. White fluorescent lamps were used at a power of 20.4 kW from 1,857 fluorescent lamps (FL, 55 W), and the cost for electricity was approximately 1,820 dollars (exchange rate of $1 = 1,200 won) per month. For a daily harvest of 1,000 plants per day in a closed plant factory, the estimated light installation cost, total installation cost, and total production cost would be 15,473, 46,421, and 55,704 dollars, respectively. The calculated production cost per plant, including labor costs, would be 27 cents for the 25-day cultivation period, with a marketable ratio of 80%. Considering the annual total expenses, income, and depreciation costs, the selling price per plant was estimated to be approximately 56 cents.

  • 기존의 장대강관말뚝 공법들은 말뚝의 용접이음이나 관내토의 제거 작업으로 인하여 공비와 공기가 증가하고 이들 작업이 진행되는 동안 시간효과에 의하여 말뚝의 관입 저항이 증가하여 타입이 어려워지는 등 각종 비경제적인 문제점들을 갖고 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 새로운 장대강관말뚝 공법을 제안하였으며, 제안된 공법의 시공성과 경제성을 분석하기 위하여 모형말뚝시험을 행하였다. 시험결과 새로 제안된 장대말뚝공법은 기존 공법에 비해 공기와 공비는 절감되고 지지력은 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Cable은 모든 선박의 전기설비에 사용되는 전선으로써 Cable 없이는 선박의 운항이 힘들 정도로 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있다. 이러한 Cable들이 잘못 설치 될 경우 재작업에 따른 시간, 설치비용, 자재비 증가 등이 발생하는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 설계단계에서 검증 하고자 텍스트 데이터로 존재 하는 Cable 경로를 3D CAD 상의 모델에 색상을 입혀 가독성을 높이고 정확한 경로 검증을 하기 위하여 Cable 경로 가시화를 구현하였다. 이를 통해 설계단계에서 정확한 경로 검증이 이루어져 설치 현장에 정확한 경로 정보가 전달됨에 따라 재작업 비율이 감소하여 작업시간 단축 및 자재비 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
