The focus of this research was to devise a conceptual methodology for drone usage and to assess the viability of safety checklist items specific to drone application in safety oversight. The appraisal was grounded in a focus group interview involving professionals from construction management and safety fields. The proposed process was segmented into four stages: 1) pre-flight phase for flight plan development, 2) drone flight phase for safety condition inspection utilizing checklist items, 3) post-flight phase for visual asset analysis, and 4) documentation and management phase. Furthermore, the research scrutinized the applicability of 32 distinct safety checklist items for drone operations. The primary aim of this investigation was to probe the possible deployment of drones as part of construction safety inspections at work sites. However, it bears mentioning that subsequent research should strive to gather a more extensive sample size through questionnaire surveys, thereby facilitating quantitative analysis. Administering such surveys would yield more comprehensive data compared to a focus group interview, which was constrained by a limited participant count. In summation, this study lays a foundational groundwork for understanding the potential advantages and challenges associated with integrating drones into construction safety management.
NIST in the United States has developed SCAP, a protocol that enables automated inspection and management of security vulnerability using existing standards such as CVE and CPE. SCAP operates by creating a checklist using the XCCDF and OVAL languages and running the prepared checklist with the SCAP tool such as the SCAP Workbench made by OpenSCAP to return the check result. SCAP checklist files for various operating systems are shared through the NCP community, and the checklist files include ID, title, description, and inspection method for each item. However, since the inspection items are simply listed in the order in which they are written, so it is necessary to classify and manage the items by type so that the security manager can systematically manage them using the SCAP checklist file. In this study, we propose a method of extracting the description of each inspection item from the SCAP checklist file written in OVAL language, classifying the categories through a machine learning model, and outputting the SCAP check results for each classified item.
This study was carried out to establish the database system by using the safety inspection and in-depth inspection results for infrastructures such as bridges, tunnels, dams, and water supplies. A classification system of each facility was proposed by standardizing items for inspection & diagnosis in order to automatize work process. Also, it justifies data structure based on database from pre-investigation to field survey, evaluation of facilities, and report making. In addition to this, it suggests improvement plans of relative regulations and guidelines such as Facility Management System(FMS), operational regulation, and inspection detailed guideline to make inspection result database of infrastructures which can be used effectively.
We analyze the HACCP Prerequisites of National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service (NVRQS), Korea Food and Drug Administration(KFDA), and US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and recommend contents and ranges to be complemented and used for the preparation of guidelines. We used the HACCP Notice of the Processing Livestock Act, the HACCP Application Manual for Livestock Processing Plants, the HACCP Notice of the Food Sanitation Act, US GPO 9 CFR and 21 CFR, US FSIS Directive 11,000.1, and HACCP-based Inspection reference guide of Consumer Services, North Carolina Department of Agriculture. The Prerequisites of NVRQS and KFDA are composed of 66 and 84 items respectively, without detailed guidelines for their application. This may decisively affect the application in the field and the evaluation activities. Water supplies, washing and disinfection monitoring tools, and examining and correcting plan are required to be improved. If the standards of compliance of each Prerequisite item as well as performance guidelines are given, the application and evaluation will be performed more effectively. The evaluation items should be associated with Prerequisite operations such as non-compliance complement, self-evaluation, and record keeping. Hazards found during official inspection should be promptly controlled not to contaminate the work places and processing items. As the HACCP is expected to spread from farms to tables, the standardized Prerequisite program among the official governments should be prepared.
When companies or institutes manage data, in order to utilize it as useful resources for decision-making, it is essential to offer precise and reliable data. While most small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutes have been investing a great amount of money in management and maintenance of their data systems, the investment in data management has been inadequate. When public institutions establish their data systems, inspection has been constantly carried out on the data systems in order to improve safety and effectiveness. However, their capabilities in improving the quality of data have been insufficient. This study develops an automatic tool to diagnose the quality of data in a way to diagnose the data quality condition of the inspected institute quantitatively at the stage of design and closure by inspecting the data system and proves its practicality by applying the automatic tool to inspection. As a means to diagnose the quality, this study categorizes, in the aspect of quality characteristics, the items that may be improved through diagnosis at the stage of design, the early stage of establishing the data system and the measurement items by the quality index regarding measurable data values at the stage of establishment and operation. The study presents a way of quantitative measurement regarding the data structures and data values by concretizing the measurement items by quality index in a function of the automatic tool program. Also, the practicality of the tool is proved by applying the tool in the inspection field. As a result, the areas which the institute should improve are reported objectively through a complete enumeration survey on the diagnosed items and the indicators for quality improvement are presented quantitatively by presenting the quality condition quantitatively.
This paper presents EMQ models in which some proportion of defective items are produced and some of them are converted to good items through rework process and items not converted are disposed. Numerical models are developed for three cases of disposal and optimal solution of each model is derived. In the first model, if a defective item is found during the production process, only re-workable items are stored and reworked after normal production is finished. Not re-workable items are disposed immediately during normal production. The second model deals with the case where all defective items are stored and items to be disposed are determined in rework process. In the third model, an additional inspection process exists before rework to determine rework or disposal. Numerical examples are presented to validate the proposed models.
This study is concerned with the development of the economic sampling inspection plan when it is possible to carry out a nondestructive screening inspection for the rejected lots by substitutive characteristics closely related to the original quality characteristic. It is assumed that the probabilities of those errors depend linearly on the fraction defective of the process. The inspection policies considered are as follows: take a random sample of size n from the lot of size N and perform a destructive test on the sample. If the number of the defective items is not greater than a critical number C, accept the lot. Expected cost functions are obtained when the process average can be considered to follow a beta distribution and the way of finding the optimal values of (n, c) is to be explored.
This paper considers the problem of selecting the most profitable process mean for production processes where measurement errors exist in inspection systems. For such situations, a sequential inspection procedure is proposed to reduce measurement errors. The decision to accept, reject, or take an additional inspection of an item is made at every measurement point until the number of repeated measurements reaches its upper bound. An expected profit model is constructed and the optimal process mean, the cut-off values, and the upper bound of the number of repeated measurements are obtained when accepted(rejected) items are sold at regular(reduced) price. A numerical study is performed to investigate the performance of the proposed procedure.

Evaluating product quality level is necessary before the manufactured items are delivered to the customer. When the amount of the items to be manufactured is limited and the product is of high price and should be evaluated by destructive testing, the number of samples to be tested should be as small as possible. This paper presents a small-sample inspection method using hyper-geometric distribution and Bayesian approach for finite small-sized population. A method of determining the minimum sample size is presented for given population size, allowable number of defectives, warranteed defective level, and confidence level which is the degree of confidence on the product quality level recognized by both the producer and the customer.

In the case of an agile-based project, it was inadequate to perform a comprehensive inspection and evaluation on the establishment and operation of an information system by performing audit only with the audit and inspection elements provided by the existing information system audit and inspection system. In particular, in the case of the test activity area, it was necessary to improve the test activity audit check items to comprehensively check the agile-based development process by applying the existing audit system. To this end, a test activity improvement check model of the agile methodology audit model was presented by applying the repetition concept, a characteristic of the agile methodology. In order to empirically verify the model of this study, a survey was conducted for auditors and designers/developers who have experience in performing agile-based projects and auditing information systems. As a result of the questionnaire on the integrated test and system test in the test stage, more than 70% of the respondents were found to be suitable. More than 80% of the respondents judged that it was appropriate as a result of the questionnaire on "improvement and regression test progress according to integrated test and system test results" and "integrated test and functional actions of components and subsystems".
