교류 전동기의 고효율 운전을 위한 3상 인버터의 입력전력 추정 기법 (Input Power Estimation Method of a Three-phase Inverter for High Efficiency Operation of an AC Motor)

  • An input power estimation method of a three-phase inverter for the high-efficiency operation of AC motors is proposed. Measuring devices, such as DC link voltage and input current sensors, are required to obtain the input power of the inverter. In the proposed method, the input power of the inverter can be estimated without the input current sensor by using the phase current information of the AC motor and the switching pattern of the inverter. The proposed method is more robust to parameter error than conventional method. The validity of the input power estimation method is verified through experiments conducted on a 1 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor drive system.

  • In this paper, a single-phase PFC (Power Factor Correction) dual boost converter based on input voltage estimation is studied for DC inverter air conditioner. It is focused on improving input power factor and power quality to satisfy the recent harmonic current regulation standards. Furthermore the input voltage estimation is introduced for price competitive products. A low cost and reasonable control system is implemented using a specified high-speed 32-bit microprocessor. Their effectiveness are verified through theoretical analysis and experiments.

  • The estimations of distributed and joint-excited input power for Power Flow Analysis are accomplished in this paper. Using Fourier transform, the displacements of infinite structures are derived, and the input power of distributed excitation can be estimated. The obtained results compare the real input power with the estimation of input power. When the exciting force acts on the joint of coupled structures, it is estimating the power that is transferred to each structure. Appling this input power, the results of energy density and intensity of Power Flow Analysis can be compared with the classical solutions.

A Study on Individual Tap-Power Estimation for Improvement of Adaptive Equalizer Performance

  • In this paper we analyze convergence constraints and time constant of IT-LMS algorithm and derive a method of making it's time constant independent of signal power by using input variance estimation. The method for estimating the input variance is to use a single-pole low-pass filter(LPF) with common smoothing parameter value, θ. The estimator is with narrow bandwidth for large θ but with wide bandwidth for small θ. This small θ gives long term average estimation(low frequency) of the fluctuating input variance well as short term variations (high frequency) of the input power. In our simulations of multipath communication channel equalization environments, the method with large θ has shown not as much improved convergence speed as the speed of the original IT-LMS algorithm. The proposed method with small θ=0.01 reach its minimum MSE in 100 samples whereas the IT-LMS converges in 200 samples. This shows the proposed, tap-power normalized IT-LMS algorithm can be applied more effectively to digital wireless communication systems.

Inverse active wind load inputs estimation of the multilayer shearing stress structure

  • This research investigates the adaptive input estimation method applied to the multilayer shearing stress structure. This method is to estimate the values of wind load inputs by analyzing the active reaction of the system. The Kalman filter without the input term and the adaptive weighted recursive least square estimator are two main portions of this method. The innovation vector can be produced by the Kalman filter, and be applied to the adaptive weighted recursive least square estimator to estimate the wind load input over time. This combined method can effectively estimate the wind loads to the structure system to enhance the reliability of the system active performance analysis. The forms of the simulated inputs (loads) in this paper include the periodic sinusoidal wave, the decaying exponent, the random combination of the sinusoidal wave and the decaying exponent, etc. The active reaction computed plus the simulation error is regard as the simulated measurement and is applied to the input estimation algorithm to implement the numerical simulation of the inverse input estimation process. The availability and the precision of the input estimation method proposed in this research can be verified by comparing the actual value and the one obtained by numerical simulation.

  • This paper propose that is algorithm of power dissipation reduction in the high level synthesis design for DSP(Digital Signal Processor), as the portable terminal system recently demand high power dissipation. This paper obtain effect of power dissipation reduction and switching activity that increase correlation of operands as input data of function unit. The algorithm search loop or repeatedly data to the input operands of function unit. That can be reduce the power dissipation using the new low power high level synthesis algorithm. In this Paper, scheduling operation search same nodes from input DFG(Data Flow Graph) with correlation coefficient of first input node and among nodes. Function units consist a multiplier, an adder and a register. The power estimation method is added switching activity for each bits of nodes. The power estimation have good efficient using proposed algorithm. This paper result obtain more Power reduction of fifty percents after using a new low power algorithm in a function unit as multiplier.

부밴드 MUSIC/ESPRIT를 이용한 전력신호 고조파 및 중간고조파 검출 및 추정 (Harmonic and Interhamonic Detection and Estimation of Power Signal using Subband MUSIC/ESPRIT)

  • This paper proposes a subband filtering technique to the MUSIC and the ESPRIT algorithm for estimating the magnitude and frequency of the harmonics of power signal. In proposed method, the input power signal is decomposed to the odd harmonics and the even harmonics respectively by the filter bank system. The amplitude and the frequency estimation of the decomposed harmonics are carried out using the MUSIC and the ESPRIT method. Subband filtering can reduce the autocorrelation matrix size of input data, and spectrum leakage between adjacent harmonics. Therefore, this subband technique has advantage in computational cost and estimation accuracy compared to fullband MUSIC and ESPRIT. To demonstrate the performance of the method, computer simulations are performed to the synthesized input signal, and experiment results are compared in subband and fullband cases.

  • The function estimation characteristics of neural networks can be used sensor signal estimation of the nuclear power plants. In case of applying the neural network to the signal estimation of redundant sensors, it is an important problem that the redundant sensor signals used as the input signals of neural network should be validated. In this paper, we simplify the conventional parity space method in order to input the validated signal to the neural network and lso propose the sensor signal validation method, which estimates the reliable sensor output combining the neural network with the simplified parity space method. The acceptability of the proposed process variable estimation method is demonstrated by using the simulation data in safety injection accident of the nuclear power plant.

  • In this paper, a new grid voltage estimation algorithm without voltage sensors is proposed for the three-phase vienna rectifier. Generally, input voltage sensor circuits increase size and cost of the PWM rectifier In order to reduce the cost and size and in order to increase reliability from the electrical noise, grid voltage estimation scheme without input voltage sensor is highly required. In this paper, the grid voltage estimation algorithm is proposed by a simple MRAS(Model Reference Adaptive System) observer without input voltage sensors. The validity of the proposed method is proven by simulation and experiment on the three-phase vienna rectifier system.

  • 전력 소모 예측에 필요한 신호 전이 밀도를 구하기 위하여, 제로 지연 모델에 대한 견실한 신호 전이 밀도 전파 방법이 제시된다. 제로 기연 모델을 위한 전력 예측은 전력 소모의 하한 경계값을 위한 적절한 기준이다. 입력 특성이 일반적으로 설계 단계에 알려져 있지 않기 때문에 광범위한 입력 특성에 대한 견실한 예측은 전력 소모에 대하여 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 신호 전이 예측 방법에 대하여 입력 및 출력의 변이 특성을 분석하고 이러한 분석 결과에 근거하여 새로운 견실한 신호 전이 밀도 전파 방법을 제안한다. 실제 회로에 적용하기 위하여 전력 예측의 정확성에 크게 영향을 미치는 재수렴성 경로를 고려한 알고리즘을 제안 및 연구한다. 실험에 의하면 제안한 방법이 기존의 방법과 비교할 때 더욱 양호한 견실성 및 종래의 방식에 상응하는 정확성과 경과 시간을 보여준다.
