대기 중 PM-10의 오염원 추정을 위한 다환방향족탄화수소와 무기원소자료의 예비통계분석 -1996년 2월~6월까지 대규모 영통건설지역 주변을 중심으로- (A Preliminary Statistical Stduy of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Inorganic Elements Data for Extimation Ambient PM-10 Sources -Near the Huge Young-Tong Construction Area during Feb. 1996 to June 1996-)

  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) have known as potentially hazardous air pollutants(HAPs0 to human health because of its carcinogenic and mutagenic behaviors. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of 6 PAHs(Fluoranthene, Pyrene, Benzo[a]anthracene, Chrysene, Benzo[b]fluoranthene, and Benzo[a]pyrene) as well as 10 inorganic elements(Cr, Na, K, Zn, Pb, Fe, Cu, Ti, Al and Cd) in the ambient PM-10. The total of 115 samples had been collected from February, 1996 to June, 1996 on quartz fiber by a PM-10 high volume air sampler near the Yong-Tong Apartment complexes. A statistical analysis was performed for the PAHs and inorganic elements data set using a principal component analysis in order to identify qualitatively the potential sources of PM-10. A total of 6 principal components were separated by intensive data pretrement and transformation processes, such as soil, refuse incineration, oil burning, coal burning, field burning, vehicle emission sources. The results showed that PAHs were associated with various burning activities like refuse and field burning, coal burning, and oil burning emissions in the study area. These derived sources were well matched with the previously known source profiles in terms of compositonal order and level of measured species. The combination data set consisted of both organic and inorganic species might provide more powerful source signature and might increase the number of potentially derived sources than PAHs or inorganic data alone.

자외선 경화형 유/무기 코팅제의 복합 필름 특성 (The hybrid film characteristics of UV-curable organic-inorganic coating solutions)

  • UV-Curable hybrid coatings were synthesized to improve the surface properties of plastic film. Organic-inorganic coating solutions were prepared by the sol-gel method using urethane-acrylate oligomer, acrylate monomer, photo initiator and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS). Methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MPTMS) was used as a silane coupling agent to improve chemical interaction between inorganic phases and UV curable acrylate. In this study, the surface hardness and adhesive properties were improved with the use of inorganic component. The experimental results showed that UV-Curable hybrid films containing aliphatic urethane oligomer, hexanedioldiacrylate, trimethylolpropanetriacrylate, hydroxy dimethyl acetophenone exhibited good surface properties. Also, the optimum curing conditions were investigated.

Inorganic sulfur reduces cell proliferation by inhibiting of $ErbB_2$ and $ErbB_3$ protein and mRNA expression in MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells

  • Dietary inorganic sulfur is the minor component in our diet, but some studies suggested that inorganic sulfur is maybe effective to treat cancer related illness. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effects of inorganic sulfur on cell proliferation and gene expression in MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells. MDA-MB-231 cells were cultured the absence or presence of various concentrations (12.5, 25, or 50 ${\mu}mol/L$) of inorganic sulfur. Inorganic sulfur significantly decreased proliferation after 72 h of incubation (P < 0.05). The protein expression of $ErbB_2$ and its active form, $pErbB_2$, were significantly reduced at inorganic sulfur concentrations of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ and greater than 25 ${\mu}mol/L$, respectively (P < 0.05). The mRNA expression of $ErbB_2$ was significantly reduced at an inorganic sulfur concentration of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05). The protein expression of $ErbB_3$ and its active form, $pErbB_3$, and the mRNA expression of $pErbB_3$ were significantly reduced at inorganic sulfur concentrations greater than 25 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05). The protein and mRNA expression of Akt were significantly reduced at an inorganic sulfur concentration of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05), but pAkt was not affected by inorganic sulfur treatment. The protein and mRNA expression of Bax were significantly increased with the addition of inorganic sulfur concentration of 50 ${\mu}mol/L$ (P < 0.05). In conclusion, cell proliferation was suppressed by inorganic sulfur treatment through the ErbB-Akt pathway in MDA-MB-231 cells.

배양재료와 품종이 수선의 기내배양시 부정아 형성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Explant and Cultivars on the Adventitious Shoot Differentiation by Invitro Culture of Narcissus)

  • 수선의 기내대량 번식방법을 확립시키기 위해 배양재료별 증식능력과 품종별 적정 생장조절제 농도 및 분화능력을 구명하고 아울러 배양재료간의 무기성분을 분석하였다. 배양재료별로는 화경에 기저부를 부착한 것이 자구형성율이 75%로 가장 높았고 기내에서의 자구생육도 양호하였다. 품종간에는 'Dutch Master'와 'Golden Harvest'가 증식력이 가장 높았고 'Dutch Master'는 BA 5 mg/L + NAA 2.5 mg/L 'Golden Harvest'는 BA 5mg/L + NAA 1 mg/L을 첨가한 배지에서 자구증식능력이 가장 좋았다. 배양재료별 무기성분은 화경의 백색부위가 P$_2$O$_{5}$ 1.18 mg/L, K 8.71 me, Ca 2.57 me, Mg 0.94 me, T-N 3.20 mg/L으로 다른 부위에 비해 고루 많은 양을 함유하고 있었으며 Ca, Mg은 엽과 화경의 황색부위에 많이 함유되어 있었고 인편은 저농도의 무기성 분을 함유하고 있었다.

유-무기 하이브리드 코팅 용액을 이용한 고굴절 하드코팅 막의 제조 (Preparation of Hard Coating Films with High Refractive Index using Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Coating Solutions)

  • 출발물질인 TTIP로부터 이산화티탄 졸을 합성하여 무기물로 사용하고 유기물로서 실란커플링제인 methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (MPTMS), aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APS), glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane (GPTMS), vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES)을 2종 혹은 3종씩 복합 사용하여 유-무기 하이브리드 코팅 용액을 제조하였다. 그 후 코팅 용액을 기재인 PC시트 위에 스핀 코팅시키고, 열경화 시켜 하드코팅 막을 제조하였다. 2종 실란커플링제를 혼합하여 제조된 코팅 막들은 기재와의 부착력과 연필경도가 우수하지 못했으나, 3종 실란커플링제를 혼합하여 제조한 코팅 막은 2H~4H의 향상된 연필경도와 5B의 우수한 부착력을 나타내었다. 이산화티탄 졸의 첨가량이 20 g인 코팅 막의 굴절률은 550 nm에서 1.56을 나타내었으나 이산화티탄 졸의 첨가량을 20 g에서 30 g으로 증가시킨 경우, 코팅 막의 굴절률이 1.63으로 향상되었다.

Fabrication of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Thin Film by Molecular Layer Deposition

  • Organic-inorganic hybrid materials have attracted because of its combined properties, such as flexibility and high electrical performance. In addition, the hybrid materials are expected to have synergic effect which are not shown in just one component. Here, we fabricated organic-inorganic hybrid thin film. Organic-inorganic hybrid thin film have been deposited from diethyl zinc and 1, 2, 4-trihydroxybenzene (THB) by molecular layer deposition (MLD). UV-VIS, Using Infrared spectrum and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirm that Zinc and THB hybrid film (ZnTHB) consist of Zn-O and THB - oxide units and the micro structure and composition of hybrid film. hat the sequential surface reactions of diethyl zinc and ethylene glycol are sufficiently self-limiting and saturating to enable well-controlled MLD growth. Transmission electron microscopy image shows lamination growth of ZnTHB film according to cycle.

Experimental Hybridization between Some Marine Coenocytic Green Algae Using Protoplasms Extruded in vitro

  • Some marine coenocytic green algae could form protoplasts from the extruded protoplasm in seawater. The dissociated cell components of the coenocytic protoplasm could be reunited into live cells and, hence, the formation of new species by mixing protoplasms from different coenocytic cells has been predicted. Our results showed that an incompatibility barrier was present during protoplast formation in coenocytic algae to exclude foreign inorganic particles or alien cell components. No inorganic particles or alien cell components were incorporated into protoplast formed spontaneously in seawater. Even when the inorganic particles or alien cell and/or cell component were incorporated into protoplast in some experimental condition, they were expelled from the protoplast or degenerated within several days. A species-specific cytotoxicity was observed during protoplast hybridization between the protoplasms of Bryopsis spp. and Microdictyon umbilicatum. The cell sap of M. umbilicatum could destroy the cell components of Bryopsis spp., but had no effect on Chaetomorpha moniligera. Species C. moniligera and Bryopsis did not affect protoplast generation of either species. The wound-induced protoplast formation in vitro might have evolved in some coenocytic algae as a dispersal method, and the incompatibility barrier to alien particles or cell and/or cell component could serve as a protective mechanism for successful propagation.

  • The inorganic compositions of traditional lye, and lyes prepared from the stalks of five different agricultural products: beans, wheat, barley, buckwheat and red peppers, were analyzed. Traditional lye was composed mainly of a weak alkaline salt, potassium carbonate as the major component and neutral salts, potassium chloride and potassium sulfate as minor components. The ash and lye contents of buckwheat have significantly higher then those of the rest agricultgural products. Bean and red pepper stalks lyes were composed mainly of potassium carbonate, similar to the composition of traditional lye, but also contained potassium chloride or sulfate. In contrast, postassium chloride was the major component of wheat and barley stalk lye.

  • Microparticle and micropolymer retention and drainage aid systems are powerful tools for paper and board making on a variety of machines. Drawbacks attributed to the current systems sometimes include; apparent high cost, production and quality problems and in some cases a negative effect on formation. The next generation multi-component organic/inorganic systems have demonstrated their ability to decouple the effects of retention and drainage and to improve the formation and print quality for the same retention and in some cases higher retention levels. It is now possible to optimize independently retention, drainage and formation effects with the same high return on investment of current microparticle systems.

천연 생강 추출물의 약리학적 특성 및 분석 연구 (A Study on the Pharmaceutical Characteristics and Analysis of Natural Ginger Extract)

  • Natural Ginger extract was extracted from Ginger component using ethanol as a solvent, and we tested various pharmaceutical characteristics in this extract. Characteristics experiment to use natural Ginger extract tested antimicrobial experiment using microbe, and analyzed organic and inorganic component with analysis instrument. From the result of characteristics experiment, some conclusions are obtained as follow. In this experiment, natural Ginger extract was obtained about 22.50 g-Ginger extract(extraction ratio : 1.80%) as liquid state of some viscous yellow-brown color. The result of antimicrobial experiment with staphylococcus aureus and aspergillus niger in microbe decreased more and more according to passage of reaction time. This phenomenon could know that Ginger extract has influenced to antimicrobial effect. In the result of instrumental analysis, aromatic organic components of benzimidazole(1.283), propyl isothiocyanate or isothiocyanic acid(1.477) etcs from Ginger extract were detected with GC/MS and inorganic component of Ca(27.6 ppm), K(24.08 ppm), Mg(6.03 ppm), Na(1.02 ppm), Zn(1.02 ppm), Sb(0.711 ppm) and Li(0.079 ppm) etcs from Ginger extract were detected with ICP/OES.
