국내 IT중소기업의 개방형 기술혁신 수용에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on Adoption of Open Technological Innovation for SMEs based on Information and Technology)

  • Recently, with the diffusion of a new paradigm named as the creative economy, the government's interests and efforts regarding support of SMEs' R&D have been concentrated. In particular, due to the dominant perception that the fundamental science and original technology from government-funded research institutes can further enhance the capabilities of SMEs' R&D, the importance of performance's diffusion on national R&D is further emphasized. In fact, the domestic SMEs don't have enough budget and workforce, so that all of self-contained technologies, product's competitiveness as well as the R&D capabilities, are very vulnerable, and thereby SMEs' commercialization is very likely to fail. For this end, SMEs need to adopt the concept of open innovation as the use of external R&D resources by licensing. In this study, we conducted a survey on a total of 286 domestic IT SMEs, and analyzed empirically to compare the degree of their acceptance on technological innovation between two groups divided by open/not-open innovation. As a result, we drew some of the key factors influencing the acceptance of the SMEs' open technological innovation, and found a variety of implications through them.

퍼지셋 질적비교분석을 이용한 우리나라 지역혁신의 유형 및 요인 분석 (Analyzing Typology and Factor Combinations for Regional Innovation in Korea Using fs/QCA)

  • 지역혁신은 지역경제 성장의 동력으로 주목을 받아 왔다. 이에 따라 정부는 지역혁신시스템을 수립하기 위해 여러 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 연구는 지역혁신시스템의 유형을 분류하고 지역혁신 성과인 특허출원에 미치는 필요조건과 충분조건을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 대부분 기존 연구에서는 사례 중심 혹은 변수 중심 연구방법을 통해 지역혁신시스템의 유형을 분류하거나 지역혁신 효과를 분석하였다. 하지만 변수 중심 연구는 강력한 전제 조건을 가정하며, 사례 중심 연구는 주관적 해석에 의존하는 한계를 노정한다. 본 연구는 최근에 주목받는 fs/QCA를 활용하여 이러한 한계점을 극복하고자 했다. 지역혁신시스템 이론을 바탕으로 지역혁신의 요소를 투입, 인프라, 네트워크로 구성하고, 이를 통해 16개의 지방자치단체의 지역혁신 유형을 분류하였다. 그 결과 8가지의 지역혁신 유형 중, 대부분의 지역이 높은 수준의 인프라를 갖춘 유형과 투입과 네트워크가 높은 유형으로 분류되었다. 또한 3가지 요소는 7가지 하위 변수로 분류되는데, 이를 활용하여 지역혁신의 성과인 높은 특허출원의 필요조건과 충분조건을 분석하였다. 그 결과 연구개발 인력과 유효특허가 특허출원의 필요조건으로 나타났으며, 연구개발비, 유효특허, 협동연구, IP예산, TLO가 높고, IP금융이 낮은 원인 조합의 배열이 특허출원을 일으키는 충분조건으로 나타났다. 따라서 지역혁신을 위해서 공공부문은 연구개발인력 양성을 위한 교육 부문에서의 제도적 지원이 필요하다. 또한 공공과 민간은 IP금융 활성화를 위한 노력도 중요하다.

  • The innovative process of digitalization and creation of innovation from an idea to its commercialization requires certain financial costs, labor and mental efforts. The amount of investment (corporate and public) is the most important imperative to enhance innovation and is traditionally considered as the main "input" indicators of the development of innovation infrastructure, in this case, the financial infrastructure of innovation. At the same time, the modern theory of innovation development assumes a systematic approach to the organization of innovation activity, which provides for the close interaction of several subsystems: human (including intellectual) potential, financial and technological capital, as well as relevant institutions and methods of regulation.. Thus, the main task of the study is to analyze the features of investment support for the process of digitalization of socio-economic systems in the context of strengthening international economic relations. As a result of the study, current trends and prerequisites of investment support for the process of digitalization of socio-economic systems in the context of strengthening international economic relations were revealed.

Enhancing Indonesian Hotel Performance Through Distribution-Market Orientation and Value-Centric Innovation in Distribution

  • Purpose: Evaluating hotel performance is crucial in the tourism industry, and expanding knowledge through value-centric innovation in distribution is approached from the service-dominant logic perspective. This study aims to explore and enhance understanding of efforts to improve hotel performance by introducing a new concept of significant value-centric innovation in distribution. A novel proposition is presented, synthesizing diverse marketing innovations through the lens of service-dominant logic to foster originality. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: Data from 166 respondents across various levels of hotel structural positions in Indonesia were analyzed using SEM-PLS. The relationship between market orientation and hotel performance was explored using the SEM-PLS technique. Results: The findings indicate that market orientation contributes to enhancing hotel performance. Additionally, value-centric innovation in distribution is crucial in addressing inconsistencies observed in previous studies and indicators related to variables significantly affecting hotel performance. Moreover, value-centric innovation in distribution directly improves performance indicators. Conclusions: The practical implication of this research is leveraging market orientation to enhance hotel performance. Hotel owners are encouraged to effectively implement value-centric innovation in distribution by fostering collaboratively generated shared value creation.

  • Although Korean government has made a great deal of investment on R&D projects, corresponding amount of efforts has not been effectively made for their commercialization. Effective technology transfer can help to spread the results of IT R&D programs. The main objective of this study is to provide some strategies for successful commercialization in lieu of technology transfer program at home and abroad. We summarize the present situation of IT R&D programs and analyze the obstacles to improve the process of materializing technology transfer.

금속.사출성형 특허분석 (A Patent Analysis on Metal Injection Molding Technology)

  • Metal Injection Molding(MIM) is a technology without any mechanical processing, which is a promising area backed up by nano powder technology developed in late 1990's. The market was about 24 billion U$ in 1999. Many applications are made in process development, uses, powder making, hindering and sintering, of which order is in terms of the number of patents. This technologies are mainly developed by US firms, and applied by Japanese firms. Europe and Korea are still catch-up stage. More efforts should be made in this field because new opportunities are opening, thanks to nano technology.

  • This paper is based on a belief that, it is the simplest and best way measuring intangibles and knowledge assets on a monetary base, although there are many efforts to measure it. We analysis and compare with accounting, appraisal and valuation standards on Korean, USA and global level each. We conclude that valuation is appropriate for intangibles and knowledge assets, but we should check the standards of valuation on a social base in Korea.

중소기업의 혁신활동이 핵심역량과 기업성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects in Response to on the Innovation Activities of SMEs to Dynamic Core Competencies and Business Performance)

  • 최근 급변하는 글로벌 시장에서 융복합 산업의 시대와 기술의 진보가 모든 기업을 단일 기업으로 해결할 수 없는 시대로 접어들면서 기업 단위의 경쟁보다는 네트워크 경쟁으로 변화하고 있다. 경쟁적 기업 환경에서는 기업의 개별적 노력뿐만 아니라 파트너들과의 발전적인 상호 혁신활동을 통해 서로의 성과를 높이는 노력이 절실하다. 최근 핵심 역량이나 혁신활동을 통해 기업의 연구와 운용에 활용 했음에도 불구하고 기업성과에 도출하지 못하는 기업들이 존재함에 주목하여 연구를 시작하였다. 본 연구는 대 중소기업농어업협력재단에서 수행하는 "생산성혁신파트너십사업"에 참여하는 경영자 또는 책임자를 대상으로 혁신활동이 핵심역량과 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 변수의 세부 요인별로 기존 연구에서 검증된 항목을 발췌하여 검정하였으며, 중소기업의 혁신활동이 핵심역량과 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 혁신활동을 매개변수로 핵심역량과 기업성과 간의 관계를 검정하였다. 혁신활동의 매개 효과에 대한 검정에서 이러한 중소기업의 혁신활동(대기업과의 기술, 제조, 경영혁신 활동)이 생산성혁신 파트너십을 통해서 핵심역량이 기업성과에 유의한 영향을 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 중소기업 스스로의 역량으로는 기업성과를 이루기가 어려우며, 대기업과 협력관계를 활용한 혁신활동의 매개적인 역할이 기업성과가 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 대기업과 중소기업 간 상생협력 혁신활동은 무엇보다 중요한 이슈이며, 실증분석을 통해 이를 검정했다는 것이 본 논문의 의의라고 말할 수 있다.

The efforts always will get gains? Risk perception of turnover and cost of changing job affect employee turnover: Evidence from Korea

  • This present study investigatesed the impact of the team innovation-oriented human resource management (HRM) practices on employees' turnover intention among financial, pharmaceuticals, distribution, and manufacturing industries in Korea. Furthermore, we explored whether risk perception of turnover and the cost of changing job would mediate the relationship between team innovation-oriented human resource management practices with employees' turnover intention in different industries in Korea. To that end, PLS structural equation modeling was used to exam the research hypothesis. We have found that team innovation-oriented HRM practices have a significant impact on employees' turnover intention. Moreover, we have discovered risk perception of turnover and the switching cost of changing job playing mediating role in the relationship of team innovation-oriented HRM practices with turnover intention among different type of industries employee. Lastly, the theoretical implications were discussed based on these findings.

Effects of Perception of Job Characteristics on Innovation Behavior and Innovation Resistance

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the role of decoupling between job characteristics, innovation behavior, and innovation resistance in order to seek ways for companies to survive and grow continuously through innovation activities in various uncertain situations. Research design, data and methodology: A total of 263 valid questionnaires were collected and used for analysis for employees working at the company. For the analysis, simple and multiple regression analysis, and 3-step mediated regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. Results: First, it was found that skill variety, task identity, autonomy, and feedback increase decoupling, and decoupling increases innovation resistance. In addition, it was confirmed that decoupling had a mediating effect between job characteristics and innovation resistance excluding task significance. Finally, it was found that task significance and feedback increase innovation behavior, and decoupling and task identity increase innovation resistance, but feedback can alleviate innovation resistance. Conclusions: As a result of the analysis, the fact that job characteristics excluding task importance have a positive effect on decoupling means that there are two sides of job characteristics perceived by employees. In other words, it means that the results of analysis on the jobs that the company assigns to its members may not be effective. In addition, decoupling, a phenomenon that seems to be accepting on the outside, but perceives that it is negative on the inside, means that there is a possibility to reject innovation. Therefore, prior to carrying out innovation activities, companies should give clear job specifications and meanings for the job and give them autonomy when assigning jobs to their members. In order to provide appropriate feedback, the company must design, operate, and provide feedback. It was found that there was a need to review the overall effectiveness. In addition, efforts such as strengthening corporate-level fairness, maintaining psychological contracts, and realizing authentic leadership should be preceded to reduce decoupling.
