  • With the evocative interests in food safety, food traceability has been spotlighted by researchers as well as consumers. However, food traceability systems are not yet in reality even though there are continuous needs from market. Also, studies about food traceability focus on technical aspects without considering the spectrum of the adoption. In this study, we chose ginseng whose traceability systems are not easily adopted. Innovation-resistance model is employed to find out factors affecting either adoption, resistance or both. As results, we find out the followings. First, relative benefits and reasonableness of cost do not affect adoption and resistance of innovation. Second, there is difference between continuously resisting group and adoption-postponing group.

  • This research analyzed the case of Ncsoft to study the organizational learning, exploitation and exploration that create dynamic capability in hypercompetitive environment. First of all, we demonstrated the activities of exploitation and exploration in Ncsoft according to the life cycle of online game industry. An exploitation related to routine, learning and fit with existing environment brings about incremental innovation. In contrast, an exploration associated with non-learning, flexibility with changing environment results in radical innovation. We examined them based on the life cycle of its various game services. NCsoft that built the leading position in online game industry focused the exploitation activities at the stage of beginning period and growth, whereas NCsoft has increased the activities of exploration at period of mature. In addition, the firm conducts an exploration for its brand new game services and R&D. Conversely, An exploitation is conducted for sustainable updating of patch service and marketing and system building. The result implies that online game companies create sustainable competitive advantage using the balance between exploitation and exploration.

  • In this paper, the mechanical characteristics of the open type hyperbolic-parabolic membrane structure under wind load were investigated. First, the numerical simulation of a typical plane membrane structure was performed based on the Large-Eddy Simulation method. The accuracy of the simulation method was validated by the corresponding wind tunnel test results. Then, the wind load shape coefficients of open type hyperbolic-parabolic membrane structures are obtained from the series of numerical calculations and compared with the recommended values in the "Technical Specification for Membrane Structures (CECS 158: 2015). Finally, the influences of the wind directions and wind speeds on the mean wind pressure distribution of open type hyperbolic-parabolic membrane structures were investigated. This study aims to gain a better understanding of the wind-induced response for this type of structure and be useful to engineers and researchers.

  • The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze the effects for IT Innovation, IT Dependency and Usage of Enterprise Architecture on IT-Business Alignment that have been on the mind C-level executives for several decades. In order to substantiate 5 hypothesis related 4 variables, 120 IT experts had been surveyed and Partial Least Square Method had been used to analyze the result. The results presented in this research indicates that technical review and feasibility study for IT Project should be performed considerably to align IT and Business requirement efficiently. It also implies that increased IT Dependency in working process results in the clearer specification of requirements for IT Project.

  • Recently, Ryu et al. proposed a multiple target angle tracking algorithm using the angular innovation extracted from the estimated signal subspace. This algorithm obtains the angles of targets and associates data simultaneously. Therefore, it has a simple structure without data association problem. However it requires the calculation of the inverse of a real matrix with dimension (2N+1)${\times}$(2N+1) to obtain the angular innovations of N targets. In this paper, a new linear equation for angular innovation is proposed using the fact that the projection error is zero when the target steering vector is projected onto the signal subspace. As a result, the proposed algorithm dose not require the matrix inversion and is computationally efficient.

  • This study aimed at understanding trends of living lab studies and deriving implications for directions of the studies by utilizing text mining. The study included network analysis and topic modelling based on keywords and abstracts from total 166 thesis published between 2011 and November 2019. Centrality analysis showed that living lab studies had been conducted focusing on keywords like innovation, society, technology, development, user and so on. From the topic modelling, 5 topics such as "regional innovation and user support", "social policy program of government", "smart city platform building", "technology innovation model of company" and "participation in system transformation" were extracted. Since the foundation of KNoLL in 2017, the diversification of living lab study subjects has been made. Quantitative analysis using text mining provides useful results for development of living lab studies.

  • This study is a survey of people who are return to farming on the intention of accepting ICT convergence technology in agriculture. The research targets were 218 people based on convenience and judgment sampling methods, and the exploratory factor analysis and multiple return analysis were performed with SPSS 22.0. As a result, the independent variables such as performance expectation, effort expectation, and social influence had a positive effect on the acceptance intention of ICT convergence technology in agriculture. In addition, the moderating effects of innovation resistance on these influence relationships were also verified. The limitations of this study are the lack of verification of perception changes and the inability to control variables. As a result of this research, the results of the UTAUT in other fields were confirmed in this study. It is hoped that this study will further facilitate the research of agriculture in ICT convergence technology.

  • The Korean shipbuilding industry, which started in the 1970s with the advance of three shipbuilding companies, has been ranked as the world's largest and most successful model of the heavy and heavy chemical industry in the world since the 1990s, and has become a driving force for Korea's economic growth for several decades, including job creation and trade surplus. The domestic shipbuilding industry has won a lot of orders in favorable market environment, expanded facilities and manpower, built many ships and delivered them to shipowners, earning a lot of foreign currency and creating a 'successful myth.' However, when the global economic crisis broke out in 2008, shipbuilding in Chosun was stagnant and shipbuilding orders sharply decreased. As the facility and manpower increased in the boom period, the economy and the facilities become overcrowded as a result of the crisis, signs of a crisis in 2013 begin to appear. In 2015, three major Korean shipbuilders lost more than 6 trillion won in operating losses. Now, Korea's shipbuilding industry is facing a crisis such as massive insolvency and restructuring. Would not it have been possible to prevent the loss and restructuring of a trillion won if we recognized the recession of the global economy and understood the appropriate timing of technological innovation and prepared countermeasures against the crisis? Therefore, we analyze trends and trends of global shipbuilding industry such as Europe, China, and Japan in the competition structure of the shipbuilding industry and identify the problems of our shipbuilding industry and suggest suggestions.

  • Business analytics is a management tool for achieving significant business performance improvements. Many organizations fail to or only partially achieve their business objectives and goals from business analytics. Business analytics adoption is a multi-stage complex activity consisting of evaluation, adoption, and assimilation stages. Several research papers have been published in the field of business analytics, but the research on multi-stage BA adoption is fewer in number. This study contributes to the scant literature on the multi-stage adoption model by identifying the critical themes for evaluation, adoption, and assimilation stages of business analytics. This study uses the thematic content analysis of peer-reviewed published academic papers as a research technique to explore the key themes of business analytics adoption. This study links the critical themes with the popular theoretical foundations: Resource-Based View (RBV), Dynamic Capabilities, Diffusion of Innovations, and Technology-Organizational-Environmental (TOE) framework. The study identifies twelve major factors categorized into three key themes: organizational characteristics, innovation characteristics, and environmental characteristics. The main organizational factors are top management support, organization data environment, centralized analytics structure, perceived cost, employee skills, and data-based decision making culture. The major innovation characteristics are perceived benefits, complexity, and compatibility, and information technology assets. The environmental factors influencing BA adoption stages are competition and industry pressure. A conceptual framework for the multi-stage BA adoption model is proposed in this study. The findings of this study can assist the practicing managers in developing a stage-wise operational strategy for business analytics adoption. Future research can also attempt to validate the conceptual model proposed in this study.
