  • The PFI dual injection engine using one injector per an intake port was developed for solving the DISI engine cost problem. Excellent fuel atomization and targeting of the PFI dual injection engine made enhancement on the fuel efficiency and engine power. In order to develop a PFI dual injection engine, characteristics of the in-cylinder flow and fuel behavior with respect to fuel injection angle and cone angle of the PFI dual injection engine was investigated. Numerical calculation was conducted to analyze 3D unsteady in-cylinder flow and fuel behavior using STAR-CD. The engine operating condition was 2,000rpm at WOT. As a result, the amount of intake air, evaporated fuel and fuel film according to injection angle and cone angle were presented. The results were influenced by interaction between injected fuel and intake port wall.

  • Carriage return (CR) and line feed (LF), also known as CRLF injection is a type of vulnerability that allows a hacker to enter special characters into a web application, altering its operation or confusing the administrator. Log poisoning and HTTP response splitting are two prominent harmful uses of this technique. Additionally, CRLF injection can be used by an attacker to exploit other vulnerabilities, such as cross-site scripting (XSS). Email injection, also known as email header injection, is another way that can be used to modify the behavior of emails. The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is an organization that studies vulnerabilities and ranks them based on their level of risk. According to OWASP, CRLF vulnerabilities are among the top 10 vulnerabilities and are a type of injection attack. Automated testing can help to quickly identify CRLF vulnerabilities, and is particularly useful for companies to test their applications before releasing them. However, CRLF vulnerabilities can also lead to the discovery of other high-risk vulnerabilities, and it fosters a better approach to mitigate CRLF vulnerabilities in the early stage and help secure applications against known vulnerabilities. Although there has been a significant amount of research on other types of injection attacks, such as Structure Query Language Injection (SQL Injection). There has been less research on CRLF vulnerabilities and how to detect them with automated testing. There is room for further research to be done on this subject matter in order to develop creative solutions to problems. It will also help to reduce false positive alerts by checking the header response of each request. Security automation is an important issue for companies trying to protect themselves against security threats. Automated alerts from security systems can provide a quicker and more accurate understanding of potential vulnerabilities and can help to reduce false positive alerts. Despite the extensive research on various types of vulnerabilities in web applications, CRLF vulnerabilities have only recently been included in the research. Utilizing automated testing as a recurring task can assist companies in receiving consistent updates about their systems and enhance their security.

  • This study examines multiple quality optimization of the injection molding for Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK). It also looks into the dimensional deviation and strength of screws that are reduced and improved for the molding quality, respectively. This study applies the Taguchi method to cut down on the number of experiments and combines grey relational analysis to determine the optimal processing parameters for multiple quality characteristics. The quality characteristics of this experiment are the screws' outer diameter, tensile strength and twisting strength. First, one should determine the processing parameters that may affect the injection molding with the $L_{18}(2^1{\times}3^7)$ orthogonal, including mold temperature, pre-plasticity amount, injection pressure, injection speed, screw speed, packing pressure, packing time and cooling time. Then, the grey relational analysis, whose response table and response graph indicate the optimum processing parameters for multiple quality characteristics, is applied to resolve this drawback. The Taguchi method only takes a single quality characteristic into consideration. Finally, a processing parameter prediction system is established by using the back-propagation neural network. The percentage errors all fall within 2%, between the predicted values and the target values. This reveals that the prediction system established in this study produces excellent results.

  • A cylindrical constant volume combustion bomb is used to investigate the combustion characteristics and to analyzer the heat quantity of inhomogeneous charge methane-air mixture. To analyze the heat quantity, some definitions including the CHR ratio, the UHC ratio and the HL ratio are needed and are calculated. It is shown that the effect of stratification is not significant in case of the overall excess air ratio of 1.1, mainly due to the higher heat loss and lower thermal efficiency compared to those of homogeneous condition. In the case of the overall excess air ratio of 1.4, as the initial charge pressure decreases, the CHR ratio has been decreased while the HL ratio has been increased, Generally, as the initial charge pressure increases, the amount of injection mixture has been decreased and has resulted in lower mean velocity and turbulence intensity for injection mixture. Also, the injected mixture is too rich to result in mixing deficiency in combustion chamber. From these results, it could be possible to acquire the improvement of thermal efficiency and the reduction of heat loss simultaneously through the 2-stage injection in CNG direct injection engine.

  • Turbulence is a common phenomenon in astrophysical fluids such as the interstellar medium (ISM) and the intracluster medium (ICM). In turbulence studies it is customary to assume that fluid powered by an energy injection on a single scale. However, in astrophysical fluids, there can be many different driving mechanisms that act on different scales simultaneously. In this work, we assume multiple energy injection scale (2${\surd}$12 and 15

  • This work investigated the effects of engine speed and injection timing on combustion and emissions characteristics in a partially premixed charge compression ignition (pPCCI) engine fueled with DME. pPCCI engine especially has potential to achieve more homogeneous mixture in the cylinder, which results in lower NOx and smoke emission. In this study single cylinder engine was equipped with common rail and injection pressure is 700 bar. Total injected fuel mass is 64.5 $mm^3$ per cycle. The amount of pilot injection of the entire injection 12.5% is tested. Results show that NOx emission is decreased while IMEP is increased as the retard of injection timing. Besides, NOx emissions are slightly rised as well as IMEP is increased with the increase of engine speed.

  • The objective of this study was to determine the effect of injection application of pig slurry on ammonia ($NH_3$) and nitrous oxide ($N_2O$) emission from timothy (Phleum pretense L.) sward. The three treatments were applied: 1) only water as a control, 2) pig slurry application by broadcasting, 3) pig slurry application by injection. The pig slurry was applied at a rate of $200kg\;N\;ha^{-1}$. Total $NH_3$ and $N_2O$ emission, expressed as a cumulative amount throughout the measurement time (40 days), was $2.68kg\;NH_3-N\;ha^{-1}$ and $6.58g\;N_2O-N\;ha^{-1}$, respectively, in the control. The injection application of pig slurry decreased total $NH_3$ and $N_2O$ emission by 39.8% and 33.3%, respectively, compared to broadcasting application of pig slurry. The present study clearly showed that injection application exhibited positive roles in reducing N losses through $NH_3$ and $N_2O$ emission.

  • The substitution of conventional fuel oil by alternative fuels is of immense interest due to liquid oil shortage and requirements of emission control standard. Among the alternative fuels, natural gas may be the most rational fuel, because of its widespread resource and clean est burning. Meanwhile, engine simulation is of great importance in engine development. Hence a zero-dimensional combustion model was developed for dual-fuel system. Natural gas was injected directly into the cylinder and small amount of distillate was used to provide the ignition kernel for natural gas burning. The intake air and exhaust gas flow was modeled by filling and emptying method. Although the single zone approach has an inherent limitation, the model showed promise as a predictive tool for engine performance. Its simulation was also made to see how the engine performance was influenced by the fuel injection timings and amount of each fuel.

  • The liquid phase LPG injection (LPLi) system (the 3rd generation technology) has been considered as one of the most promising fuel supply systems for LPG vehicles. To investigate the reaction characteristics of LPG with rubber parts in LPLi system, various rubbers were tested. The results showed that the amount of residue from the cover rubber of a fuel pump was increased about 10 times after testing. Furthermore, the amount of sulfur and nitrogen species which are considered as main sources of deposit formation in LPLi fuel injectors were also found to be higher than those in original LPG fuel. In addition, these residues made the core parts of LPLi injector such as needle and nozzle, partially worn, which eventually causes leakage in LPLi injectors.

  • In this study, feasibility of expansion of BFL equivalence ratio are examined with change of injection location of hydrogen gas in intake pipe, coolant temperature, spark timing and amount of residual gas. As the results, BFL equivalence ratio is increased when injection location has some distance from intake valve. And it is decreased in accordance with increasing of coolant temperature and advance of spark timing. The amount of residual gas has little effect on BFL equivalence ratio.
