  • Computer Forensics is a research area which finds the malicious users by collecting and analyzing the intrusion or infringement evidence of the computer crime. Many research about Computer Forensics has been done. But those research have focussed on how to collect the evidence after receiving the damage reports from computer users or network administrators. This paper describes about collecting the evidence of good quality at the time of infringement occurrence by the malicious user. By calculating Infringement severity of observable and protective hosts and referring to this value, we collect the evidence at the time of infringement occurrence to minimize the information modification of the evidence. We can reduce also the amount of logs that we use to analyze the infringement and can minimize the loss of the evidence.

  • The Computer Forensics is a research area that finds the malicious users by collecting and analyzing the intrusion or infringement evidence of computer crimes such as hacking. Many researches about Computer Forensics have been done so far. But those researches have focussed on how to collect the forensic evidence for both analysis and poofs after receiving the intrusion or infringement reports of hosts from computer users or network administrators. In this paper, we describe how to collect the forensic evidence of good quality from observable and protective hosts at the time of infringement occurrence by malicious users. By correlating the event logs of Intrusion Detection Systems(IDSes) and hosts with the configuration information of hosts periodically, we calculate the value of infringement severity that implies the real infringement possibility of the hosts. Based on this severity value, we selectively collect the evidence for proofs at the time of infringement occurrence. As a result, we show that we can minimize the information damage of the evidence for both analysis and proofs, and reduce the amount of data which are used to analyze the degree of infringement severity.

  • This study tried to suggest crisis management compliance to prevent personal information infringement accidents that may occur in the process because the data including personal information is being processed in the artificial intelligence (AI) service process. To this end, first, the AI service provision process is divided into 3 processes such as service planning/data design and collection process, data pre-processing and purification process, and algorithm development and utilization process. And 3 processes are subdivided into 9 stages following to personal information processing stages to infringe personal information. All processes were investigated with literature and experts' Delphi. Second, the investigated personal information infringement factors were selected through FGI, Delphi, etc. for experts. Third, a survey was conducted with experts on the severity and possibility of each personal information infringement factor, and the validity and adequacy of the 94 responses were verified. Fourth, to present appropriate risk management compliance for personal information infringement factors in AI services, a method for calculating the risk level of personal information infringement is prepared by utilizing the asset value of personal information, personal information infringement factors, and the possibility of infringement accidents. Through this, the countermeasures for personal information infringement incidents were suggested according to the scored risk level.

  • Emergence of the COVID 19 pandemic has resulted in a sharp increase in the number of two-wheeler vehicular traffic accidents, prompting the introduction of numerous efforts for their prevention. This study applied XGBoost to determine the factors that affect severity of two-wheeled vehicular traffic accidents, by examining data collected over the past 10 years and analyzing the influence of each factor. Among the total factors assessed, variables affecting the severity of traffic accidents were overwhelmingly high in cases of signal violations, followed by the age group of drivers (60s or older), factors pertaining only to the car, and cases of centerline infringement. Based on the research results, a reasonable legal reform plan was proposed to prevent serious traffic accidents and strengthen safety management of two-wheeled vehicles.   • As reliance on information and communication becomes widespread, a variety of information dysfunctions such as hacking, viruses, and the infringement of personal information are also occurring. Korean adolescents are especially exposed to an environment in which they are experiencing information dysfunction. In addition, youth cybercrimes are steadily occurring. To prevent cybercrime and the damage caused by information dysfunction, information security practices are essential. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to discuss the factors affecting the information security practices of Korean youths, considering information security education, perceived severity, and perceived vulnerability as leading factors of the theory of planned behavior. A questionnaire survey was administered to 118 middle and high school students. Results of the hypothesis test show that information security education affects perceived behavior control, and perceived severity affects attitude. Subjective norms, information security attitudes, and perceived behavioral control were found to influence adolescents' practices of information security. However, perceived vulnerabilities did not affect youths' information security attitudes. This study confirms that information security education can help youths to practice information security. In other words, information security education is important, and it is a necessary element in the information curriculum of contemporary youth. However, perceived vulnerability to youth information security threats did not affect information security attitudes. Consequently, we suggest that it is necessary to strengthen the contents of the information security education for Korean youths.

  • The Internet cyber space has become more important as it enters the intelligent information society of the 4th Industrial Revolution beyond the information age through the development of ICT, the expansion of personalized services through mobile and SNS, the development of IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence. The Internet has formed a new paradigm in human civilization, but it has focused only on the efficiency of its functions. Therefore, various side effects such as information divide, cyber terrorism, cyber violence, hacking, and personal information leakage are emerging. In this situation, facing the intelligent information society can lead to an uncontrollable chaos. Therefore, this study classifies the cyber dysfunction of intelligent information society and analyzes social cognition, suggests cyber dysfunction standard of intelligent information society, and examines the seriousness of dysfunction, and suggests technical research directions for future technologies and services. The dysfunctional classification of the intelligent information society was classified into five areas of cyber crime and terrorism, infringement of rights, intelligent information usage culture, intelligent information reliability, and social problems by FGI methodology. Based on the classification, the social perception of current and future cyber dysfunction severity was surveyed and it showed female is more sensitive than male about the dysfunction.   • The development of IT technology, Internet popularity is increasing geometrically. However, as its side effect, the intrusion behaviors such as information leakage for key system and infringement of computation network etc are also increasing fast. The attack traffic detection method which is suggested in this study utilizes the Snort, traditional NIDS, filters the packet with false positive among the detected attack traffics using Nmap information. Then, it performs the secondary filtering using nessus vulnerability information and finally performs correlation analysis considering appropriateness of management system, severity of signature and security hole so that it could reduce false positive alarm message as well as minimize the errors from false positive and as a result, it raised the overall attack detection results.

  • Recently, the smart home market is growing due to the development of wireless communication technology and sensor devices, and various devices are being utilized. Such an IoT environment collects various vast amount of device information for intelligent services, receives services based on user information, controls various devices, and provides communication between different types of devices. However, with this growth, various security threats are occurring in the smart home environment. In fact, Proofpoint and HP warned about the cases of damage in a smart home environment and the severity of security vulnerabilities, and cases of infringement in various environments were announced. Therefore, in this paper, we have studied secure mutual authentication method between smart nodes used in smart home to solve security problems that may occur in smart home environment. In the case of the proposed thesis, security evaluations are performed using random numbers and frequently updated session keys and secret keys for well-known vulnerabilities that can occur in IoT environments and sensor devices such as sniffing, spoofing, device mutual authentication, And safety. In addition, it is confirmed that it is superior in security and key management through comparison with existing smart home security protocol.

  • At present, our society is developing into the intelligent information society in the wave of the 4th industrial revolution, and this change will have the positive effect of innovating all industry fields. However, due to the duality of technology, there will be positive and negative effects. With intelligence, threats to cyber dysfunction such as hacking, terrorism, privacy infringement, and illegal content distribution will become more serious. Until now, the security system of the Internet has been a proactive security system, but in recent years, a proposal for a trust network, a preventive security system, has been introduced. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the possibility of resolving cyber dysfunction of intelligent information society about Bright Internet, one of trust network technologies. This study defines the cyber dysfunction of the intelligent information society and analyzes the perceptions of changes in the cyber dysfunction of the intelligent information society on the introduction of the five principles of the Bright Internet. The change of cyber dysfunction severity of the intelligent information society due to the introduction of the trust network is analyzed to reflect the technical and social demands. This work will guide the structure of the trust network and the direction of practical technological introduction and its influence.
