적외선 분광분석을 이용한 바이오 에탄올 on-line용 정량분석법 개발 (Development of On-line Quantitative Analysis for Bioethanol Using Infrared Spectroscopy)

  • 본 논문에서는 바이오연료 제품 품질 분석의 저가격화와 시간단축, 그리고 궁극적으로 바이오연료 생산 공정의 모니터링 실시간화를 해결하기 위해 적외선 분광분석과 화학계량학(Chemometrics)을 융합한 on-line 분광 모니터링 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 화학계량학 중 부분최소자승법을 사용하여 적외선 spectrum과 성분 농도 간의 정량분석을 실시하였다. 몇 가지 전처리법과 변수 중요도척도를 이용하여 모델링한 결과 spectrum의 보정, 노이즈 감소, 검량선의 유지보수 등의 측면에서 Savitzky-Golay 전처리가 가장 우수함을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 실시간 품질 측정뿐만 아니라 하나의 분광분석 장치로 여러 성분들의 동시 측정이 가능함을 확인함으로써 비용의 절감도 예상된다. 뿐만 아니라 결정계수 $R^2$이 0.99 이상으로 실험실분석의 대체도 가능하다.

  • This study was carried out on DLC thin film deposition technology used in infrared optical system production as a method of reducing the shape changes of the molding core and the consequent loss of life. Experiments on the deposition on silicon wafer and tungsten carbide used as a substrate for molding core were conducted at each processing condition using a filtered arc system, and it was found that the surface and mechanical properties were of the greatest quality when the substrate bias voltage of -150 V was used. In addition, it was confirmed that the PV and Ra characteristics were improved by the deposition of the DLC thin film.

Operational Mode Analysis of Cooler Driver Electronics in Satellite and System Safety Margin

  • Cooler driver electronics (CDE) for maintaining low temperature of the satellite payload IR sensor consists of a compressor that has a pulsation current load condition when it is operated. This pulsation current produces large voltage fluctuation, which affects both load and regulated bus stability. Thus, CDE power conditioning system consists of a primary bus, infrared power distribution unit for battery charging and protection, reverse current protection diode, and battery, which is used as a buffer. In this study, the operational mode analysis is performed by each part with equivalent impedance modeling verified through system level simulation. From this mode analysis, the safety margin for state of charge and open circuit voltage of the battery is determined for satisfying the minimum operational voltage of the CDE load.

위성자료가 기상청 전지구 통합 분석 예측 시스템에 미치는 효과 (The Impact of Satellite Observations on the UM-4DVar Analysis and Prediction System at KMA)

  • UK Met Office Unified Model (UM) is a grid model applicable for both global and regional model configurations. The Met Office has developed a 4D-Var data assimilation system, which was implemented in the global forecast system on 5 October 2004. In an effort to improve its Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) system, Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has adopted the UM system since 2008. The aim of this study is to provide the basic information on the effects of satellite data assimilation on UM performance by conducting global satellite data denial experiments. Advanced Tiros Operational Vertical Sounder (ATOVS), Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI), Special Sensor Microwave Imager Sounder (SSMIS) data, Global Positioning System Radio Occultation (GPSRO) data, Air Craft (CRAFT) data, Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) data were assimilated in the UM global system. The contributions of assimilation of each kind of satellite data to improvements in UM performance were evaluated using analysis data of basic variables; geopotential height at 500 hPa, wind speed and temperature at 850 hPa and mean sea level pressure. The statistical verification using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) showed that most of the satellite data have positive impacts on UM global analysis and forecasts.

  • This paper presents an assessment method in integrity of the windings in cast resin molded transformers by using vertical analysis of thermal distribution. The proposed method is to compare the temperature distribution in a sound specimen with that in the faulted specimen with a layer to layer short circuit. Temperature distribution was acquired by an infrared thermography system, and the Arrhenius equation was adopted to the accelerated test. The proposed method can be used to detect the failures in the transformers.

  • 본 논문은 수직온도분포 분석을 이용한 몰드변압기 권선의 건전성 평가 방법을 제시하고 있다. 이 방법은 건전 시료의 온도 분포와 가속열화실험에 의해 층간 단락된 고장시료의 온도 분포 비교를 통해 얻어진 결과이다. 분석에 활용된 온도분포는 적외선 열화상 시스템에 의해 취득되었고, 가속 열화시험에는 Arrhenius 방정식이 적용되었다. 제안된 방법은 몰드변압기 고장을 검출하는데 유용할 것이다.

화상처리를 이용한 동작분석 시스템에 관한 연구 (Motion analysis system using image processing)

  • This paper presents the development of videobased 3-dimensional tracking system. Measurement of human motion is important in the application of ertonomics. The system uses advanced direct video measurement technology. Passive retro-reflecting markers are attached to a subject and movements of markers are observed by two CCD cameras. Infrared light emitted near the CCD cameras is reflected by the markers and is detected by the cameras. The images are captured by Samsung MVB302 board and the centers of markers are calculated by DSP program. The positions of markers are transferred from MVB02 board to the computer through AT bus. The computer then tracks the position of each marker and saves the data. This system has dynamic accuracy with 0.7% average error and 4.2% maximum error, and the sampling rate to 6 .approx. 10 Hz, and this system can analyse the trajectory and speed of the marker. The results of this study can be used for operator's motion analysis, task analysis, and hand movement characteristic analysis.

  • 본 논문은 모션 인식 분야 중 지체 장애인의 재활훈련과 같은 치료 분야를 위하여 적외선 발광 다이오드를 이용한 모션 분석과 이를 이용한 재활훈련 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 장애인 사용자의 특징점 위치에 무선 적외선 발광 다이오드 밴드를 착용하고 적외선 필터를 장치한 카메라로 좌표 값을 얻어낸 후 미리 정의되어있는 동작과의 일치 여부를 판별함으로 모션 분석이 가능하며 분석 과정이 비교적 간단하기 때문에 빠르고 정확한 모션인식이 가능하다. 또한 적외선 발광 다이오드의 특징점 좌표들만으로 동작을 판별하는 것이 아닌 각 특징점 좌표들을 꼭지점으로 가지는 다각형의 무게중심과 특징점 좌표들의 벡터를 구한 후 일정한 거리와 각도 구간으로 구분하고 각 발광 다이오드의 속한 구간을 알아낸다. 이 같은 모션 인식 알고리즘을 이용하여 장애인 치료 전문기관인 삼육 재활학교에서 구성한 재활훈련 시나리오의 동작에 대하여 실험을 수행한 결과 초당 20프레임 정도의 빠르면서도 98%에 가까운 정확한 인식률을 얻을 수 있다.

지상 및 위성 고분해 적외스펙트럼 센서에서 관측된 황사 특성 (Infrared Spectral Signatures of Dust by Ground-based FT-IR and Space-borne AIRS)

  • The intensive dust observation experiment has been performed at Korea Global Atmosphere Watch Center (KGAW) in Anmyeon, Korea during each spring season from 2007 to 2009. Downward and upward hyper-spectral spectrums over the dust condition were measured to understand the hyper-spectral properties of Asian dust using both ground-based Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and space-borne AIRS/Aqua. To understand the impact of the Asian dust, a Line-by-Line radiative transfer model runs to calculate the high resolution infrared spectrum over the wave number range of $500-500cm^{-1}$. Furthermore, the radiosonde, a $PM_{10}$ Sampler, a Micro Pulse Lidar (MPL), and an Aerodynamic Particle Sizer (APS) are used to understand the vertical profile of temperature and humidity and the properties of Asian dust like concentration, altitude of dust layer, and size distribution. In this study, we found the Asian dust distributed from surface up to 3-4 km and volume concentration is increased at the size range between 2 and $8{\mu}m$ The observed dust spectrums are larger than the calculated clear sky spectrums by 15~60K for downward and lower by around 2~6K for upward in the wave number range of $800-1200cm^{-1}$. For the characteristics of the spectrum during the Asian dust, the downward spectrum is revealed a positive slope for $800-1000cm^{-1}$ region and negative slope over $1100-1200cm^{-1}$ region. In the upward spectrum, slopes are opposed to the downward one. It is inferred that the difference between measured and calculated spectrum is mostly due to the contribution of emission and/or absorption of the dust particles by the aerosol amount, size distribution, altitude, and composition.
