Design of Alert Message and Message Segmentation For T-DMB Automatic Emergency Alert Service Standard (지상파 DMB 자동 재난경보방송 표준을 위한 재난 메시지 및 메시지 분할 방법 설계)

  • This paper presents the design of alert message and message segmentation method for the Terrestrial DMB Automatic Emergency Alert Service Standard. This paper begins with the introduction of the standard and some background. The alert message contains the essential information of the alert. Structured information is represented as coded fields and the unstructured as short sentences. Design factors of each field are analyzed first. Next each field’s semantics and syntax are described. The message segmentation method is presented next. The previous study selected FIDC as the message delivery channel. However, in most cases, the size of the alert message exceeds the maximum size of FIG, which is the basic unit packet for the channel. The current T-DMB standard does not support the segmentation method for FIDC. To solve the problem, this paper proposes an elegant segmentation method that garantees reliable, flexible, and fast receiver characteristic. This paper concludes with some additional tasks that should be resolved before the full-time alert service.

The Effect of Message Framing on Personal Relevance and Social Value Orientation - Focusing on Privatization - (개인 관련성과 사회적 가치 지향성이 광고 메시지 프레이밍에 미치는 효과 - 공기업 민영화를 중심으로 -)

  • This research presented the privatization of pubic corporations in terms of communication dimension rather than political and ideological dimension. Concretely, we examined how the message framing of privatization affects consumer's advertising attitude. At the same time, this study also examined the moderating factors which make a difference of the message framing, such as personal relevance(high/low) and social value orientation(proself/prosocial). The results showed that the interaction effect between type of message framing and personal relevance. Positive message framing showed a higher effect than negative message in the case of low personal relevance. Also, There was the interaction effect between type of message framing and social value orientation. Positive message framing showed a higher effect than negative message in the case of proself. However, there was no difference in message framing effect when there was high personal relevance and prosocial. Lastly, the implications of this study was presented. First, this study expanded the scope of research related to message framing. Second, the use of moderating variables such as personal relevance and social value orientation increased the possibility of practical application. In addition, limitation and further study directions was discussed.

Lazy Garbage Collection of Coordinated Checkpointing Protocol for Avoiding Sympathetic Rollback (동기적 검사점 기법에서 불필요한 복귀를 회피하기 위한 쓰레기 처리 기법)

  • This paper presents a garbage collection protocol for checkpoints and message logs which are staved on the stable storage or volatile storage for fault tolerancy. The previous works of garbage collections in coordinated checkpointing protocol delete all the checkpoints except for the last checkpoints on earth processes. But implemented in top of reliable communication protocol like as TCP/IP, rollback recovery protocol based on only last checkpoints makes sympathetic rollback. We show that the old checkpoints or message logs except for the last checkpoints have to be preserved in order to replay the lost message. And we define the conditions for garbage collection of checkpoints and message logs for lost messages and present the garbage collection algorithm for checkpoints and message logs in coordinated checkpointing protocol. Since the proposed algorithm uses process information for lost message piggybacked with messages, the additional messages for garbage collection is not required The proposed garbage collection algorithm makes 'the lazy garbage collectioneffect', because relying on the piggybacked checked checkpoint information in send/receive message. But 'the lazy garbage collection effect'does not break the consistency of the whole systems.

  • this paper, we propose a flexible, reusable, and extensible HL7 encoding and decoding framework using a Message Object Model (MOM) and Message Definition Repository (MDR). The MOM provides an abstract HL7 message form represented by a group of objects and their relationships. It reflects logical relationships among the standard HL7 message elements such as segments, fields, and components, while enforcing the key structural constraints imposed by the standard. Since the MOM completely eliminates the dependency of the HL7 encoder and decoder on platform-specific data formats, it makes it possible to build the encoder and decoder as reusable standalone software components, enabling the interconnection of arbitrary heterogeneous hospital information systems(HISs) with little effort. Moreover, the MDR, an external database of key definitions for HL7 messages, helps make the encoder and decoder as resilient as possible to future modifications of the standard HL7 message formats. It is also used by the encoder and decoder to perform a well formedness check for their respective inputs (i. e., HL7 message objects expressed in the MOM and encoded HL7 message strings). Although we implemented a prototype version of the encoder and decoder using JAVA, they can be easily packaged and delivered as standalone components using the standard component frameworks like ActiveX, JAVABEAN, or CORBA component.

A Multi-Agent Message Transport Architecture for Supporting Close Collaboration among Agents (에이전트들 간의 밀접한 협력을 지원하기 위한 다중 에이전트 메시지 전송 구조)

  • This paper proposes a multi-agent message transport architecture to support application areas which need fast message communications for close collaboration among agents. In the FIPA(Foundation of Intelligent Physical Agents) agent platform, all message transfer services among agents are in charge of a conceptual entity named ACC(Agent Communication Channel). In our multi-agent message transport architecture, the ACC is represented as a set of system agents named MTSA(Message Transfer Service Agent). The MTSA enables close collaboration among agents by supporting asynchronous communication, by using Reactor pattern to handle agent input messages efficiently, and by selecting optimal message transfer protocols according to the relative positional relationships of sender agents and receiver agents. The multi-agent framework SMAF(Small Multi-Agent Framework), which is implemented on the proposed multi-agent message transport architecture, shows better performance on message transfer among agents than JADE(Java Agent Development Environment) which is a well-known FIPA-compliant multi-agent framework. The faster the speed of message transfer of a multi-agent architecture becomes, the wider application areas the architecture can support.

Research on Railway Safety Common Data Model and DDS Topic for Real-time Railway Safety Data Transmission

  • In this paper, we propose the design of railway safety common data model to provide common transformation method for collecting data from railway facility fields to Real-time railway safety monitoring and control system. This common data model is divided into five abstract sub-models according to the characteristics of data such as 'StateInfoMessage', 'ControlMessage', 'RequestMessage', 'ResponseMessage' and 'ExtendedXXXMessage'. This kind of model structure allows diverse heterogeneous data acquisitions and its common conversion method to DDS (Data Distribution Service) format to share data to the sub-systems of Real-time railway safety monitoring and control system. This paper contains the design of common data model and its DDS Topic expression for DDS communication, and presents two kinds of data transformation case studied for verification of the model design.

  • 본 논문에서는 웹, 모바일 환경에 적응 가능하고, 다양한 서비스의 지원이 가능한 글로벌 Peer-to-Peer(P2P) 엔진에서 서비스 모듈, 네트워크 모듈, 레파지토리 모듈간에 발생되는 메시지를 처리하는 메시지 디스패쳐의 설계 경험을 기술한다. P2P엔진이 이 기종 네트워크환경에 적응 가능하고, 다양한 서비스들을 동시에 지원하기 위해서는 피어 간 또는 엔진 내부에서 발생하는 많은 메시지들을 원활히 처리하는 모듈이 필요하다. 이를 위하여 메시지 처리를 위한 글로벌 P2P 엔진의 메시지 디스패쳐를 제안한다. 메시지 디스패쳐는 글로벌 P2P엔진에서 지원하는 서비스 또는 다른 모듈에서 발생하는 메시지들을 우선순위와 마감시간을 이용하여 작업순서를 배열하는 Message Queue, Message Queue에 적재된 메시지들을 분석하여 처리하는 Message Processor, 메시지 디스패쳐와 서비스 또는 각 모듈간의 메시지의 전달을 위한 공유 버퍼인 Service Buffer로 구성되어져 있다. P2P 엔진에서 메시지 디스패쳐를 이용하게 되면 다양만 서비스에 적응가능하고, 모듈간의 투명성을 제공하고, 신속한 메시지의 처리가 가능하게 된다.

  • Due to indiscriminately received spam messages on information society, spam messages cause damages not only to person but also to our community. Nowadays a lot of spam filtering techniques, such as blocking characters, are studied actively. Most of these studies are content-based spam filtering technologies through machine learning.. Because of a spam message transmission techniques are being developed, spammers have to send spam messages using term spamming techniques. Spam messages tend to include number of nouns, using repeated words and inserting special characters between words in a sentence. In this paper, considering three features, SPSS statistical program were used in parameterization and we derive the equation. And then, based on this equation we measured the performance of classification of spam messages. The study compared with previous studies FP-rate in terms of further minimizing the cost of product was confirmed to show an excellent performance.
