SMEs(Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) have implemented the various IT-based Production Information Systems(PIS) to cope with the highly competitive environment as well as to improve their competitiveness and productivity. For the efficient development of PIS In SMEs, standardizing the system development process is required. Methodology for the development of PIS is especially important for the systematic and efficient implementation to communicate among the SI companies, SMEs, and a supervision agency. TIPA(Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs) has developed PSDM(Production System Development Methodology), and supplies it to the SI companies. The research goal of this paper is to explore the productivity improvement by adopting the PSDM with the cases of SI companies applied PSDM. The results show that such benefits as risk management, productivity improvement, easy system implementation and maintenance are perceived by PSDM Users. This research could be the first case study reveal the effectiveness of PSDM. For further research, the survey could be carried out with more samples.

In this paper, we describe the development of the polarized-light stereoscopic monitoring system based on full HDTV. The system consists of the stereoscopic camera part, image processing device for the stereoscopic image recording and stereoscopic display. The developed stereoscopic imaging display system reduces eyestrain and viewer fatigue.

This paper suggests system development method with extended user participation. Context diagram, event diagram, information diagram, management diagram and interface STD are staple products. This method introduces interface STD, management diagram and context diagram with administrator as relator. We adapted to research business of professor and ATM(Automatic Teller machine), when it can be adaptable to business-oriented system.

The necessity of installing well adaptable Information Systems are required day by day in all the fields of business management. This paper provides an Information System development for enhancing competitive power of the small and medium-sized firms in Korea. Recent growing Information Technology leads to constructing invisibly some new adaptable Information Systems in accordance with the business size, level, capacity and requirements. Even though some advanced companies and big enterprises are already operating their own appropriate Information Systems so as to get their remarkable productivity at a moment. The rest of those small firms are still trying to find out some proper systems fitting their own business in very poor situations. The basic requirements of the points of views by mail questionaired and interviewed from 1292 small and medium-sized manufacturing firms reflected on this Information System development. As a result, the study introduces some economically efficient, convinient, flexible and useful applied Information Systems with simple methods.

It has been a well known fact that the Internet as a information media has became a obvious ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Networks) through ultra speed information networks. Internet has mads a great change in educational fields. The educational systems are being changed into a learner central figure from the professor central one and cyber universities regardless of space and distance have appeared though the Internet. Accordingly in this paper, we present the web site of UC(Ulsan College) applied to WIDS(Web Identity Development System) to supply the enhancement of information services and the interface design of user's convenience in rapid changing educational environment. We suggest the more enhanced methodology of web site development in cyber space through the case of UC web site development.

This paper especially develops a new model of the university curriculum based on the questionnaire from the fifteen universities, students, professors and field managers in information system development areas. The Urban Planning Information System is the core system in urban planning field which should operate at the national level of network, and requires a close inspection from the initial level of development. Therefore, this study analyzes international standards, domestic laws, preceding plans, as well as the standard system established in 2008, in order to identify the problems and propose directions for the future direction of the Urban Planning Information System. Suggestions from this study can be summarized as follows: (1) to take initiatives to create standards for the development of the Urban Planning Information System, followed by the establishment as international standards, (2) to have the system developed as an open structure, and (3) to comply w ith the preceding plans of related national GIS system to enable integration.

For a library to be able provide information services and fulfill its function as a knowledge convergence center capable of responding to various information demands, the development of next-generation information systems based on the latest information and communication technology is needed. The development of mobile information services using portable devices such smart phones and tablet PCs and information systems which incorporate the concepts of cloud computing, SaaS (Software as a Service), annotation and Library2.0 is also required. This paper describes a library information system that utilizes collective intelligence and cloud computing. The information system developed for this study adopts the SaaS-based cloud computing service concept to cope with the shift in the mobile service paradigm in libraries and the explosion of electronic data. The strengths of such a conceptual model include the sharing of resources, support of multi-tenants, and the configuration and support of metadata. The user services are provided in the form of software on-demand. To test the performance of the developed system, the efficiency analysis and TTA certification test were conducted. The results of performance tests, It is encouraging that, at least up to 100MB, the job time is approximately linear and with only a moderate overhead of less than one second. The system also passed the level-3 or higher criteria in the certification test, which includes the SaaS maturity, performance and application program functions.
