Intelligent Transportation Systems and Intermodal Transportation Information System for Railroad (교통시스템 정보화와 철도중심의 연계교통정보시스템)

  • The Korean high speed railroad is scheduled to open in 2004. For railroad-based integrated transfer system, it is essential to develop the intermodal information system for easy transfer to other travel modes. The understanding of mode choices by KTX passengers is crucial for the intermodal transportation planning. Recent development of Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) made it possible for railroad users to access the transportation information in a cabin or waiting areas at the station. Development of intermodal transportation information system will influence the relative demand for traveling by train from competing other transportation modes. The research is focused on a general overview of the ITS with an emphasis on intermodal transportation information system.

  • Recently, the mRFID which combines RFID system a mobile uses infra of mobile communication and it provides object information service with the form which is various. Currently, many object information service system exists. But such system object information is by a service box and becomes the inclusion in specific territory and connection it does from different territory, there is a difficult problem point. It secured the weak point of object information service system of existing from the dissertation which it sees and the object information service system which is suitable in application development of the mRFID it embodied.

  • Complying with highly demand of information through internet. the utility of computer and network is rapidly provided with to schools. This situation brings about many problems. For example, the stolen information through false identification(Hacking) is the most greatest concern. In this paper it tells that the efficient way of preservating computer use is by using operating system of Open Source, which is Linux system. Further more, it shows the system which was organized by IP-Tabling (offered service-Packet Filtering method from the Linux system) functions well as a security system.

  • Effective use of agricultural informations is crucial for 21 century farming. An interactive agricultural machinery information system was developed. It consisted of databases, knowledge bases, expert systems, a server engine, clients for a multimedia agricultural machinery information system based on Java and distributed objects technology. It is supposed to be served through a nationwide super information communication network for my farmers to utilize it interactively and quickly. Several user-friendly interface programs for users were developed to use texts, static k dynamic images, and expert systems easily. Tools for providing the informations were built with JAVA. Information providers permitted to access to the system such as agricultural machinery companies can easily add or modify the informations using distributed object technology. This system can interact among three groups : prime information provider (or system manager), permitted information providers, and farmers.

  • It is very necessary to find how to develop international government procurement by analyzing functions and roles of information providing circumstance and existing total international government procurement information system. In addition, it would require to draw up a way of improving current international government procurement information system based on the problems of existing system. In this study, we analyze the current status of Korean international government procurement information system and give an idea of mutual cooperating with DGMARKET, a good example of international government procurement information system. As a practical method, cooperating with DGMARKET by building each countries' gateway will be very helpful in cost saving and providing information. It will also complement the limitation of Korean system's one way service. But supplying only international government procurement information is insufficient in realization of e-trade in international goverment procurement market. To settle these problems, treating international government procurement as a same field of trade and giving political support and incentive to company which hopes to participate international goverment procurement are absolutely needed.

  • In this paper, development of TIM Module for constructing PDM will be introduced. Technical information relevant product data influences cost, quality, precision and productivity. One of the very important feature of product data is organizing not by oneself but very closed to many technical information such as document, file, image and analysis sheet. To manage various technical information, several kinds of management system are used in multi level of production system. PDM and TIM systems are being developed for suitable purpose and are in need of Network technology, Information Technology, Database, sharing and distributing information. Developed TIM system is based on Web environment. By using this system, we can manage systematic technical information and reduce cost for constructing PDM system. And also we will put to practical use another technical information management system for mold plant.

  • This study investigates and analyzed to whole public offering listed company whether enterprise's integration information system exercises some influence on business users. Many medium and small enterprise introduce and operate new integrated system, but there was difficulty in Productivity Analysis that is real by unstableness of system, preservation and insufficiency of management control etc. Therefore, in this study, designed study model and research hypothesis laying stress on information strategy, system quality, information quality of information support agents to measure integration information system to relative stable enterprise. This study may become data that is useful in stable system introduction in various field of industry hereafter medium and small enterprises. This study Was construed by thing which degree that give influence of positive in user satisfaction as findings information system quality, quality of service, information support agents is good in study analysis is very high. The other side, information strategy was expose for factor that do not exert big influence on user's satisfaction, and got sequence that is affected in some degree if user satisfaction is high in details article.

Case-Based Reasoning Support for ERP Pre-Planning

  • A project planning is one of the most important processes that determines success and failure of the project. A pre-project planning is also essential job for information system implementations at the early stage of project planning, especially for management information system like ERP. However, pre-project planning is very difficult, because lots of factors and their relationships should be considered. Pre-project planning of ERP implementation has been done by project manager's own knowledge and experiences. In this article, we propose a system that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP project with case-based reasoning(CBR) framework. The proposed CBR system saves previous cases of ERP pre-project planning in the case base. Then, the system finds the most similar case with the current pre-project planning problem. Project manager can make a pre-project plan by adjusting the most similar case. From the interview with project managers, we collect some field cases of ERP implementation. We organized these cases by using XML(Extensible Markup Language), which is good for representing hierarchical information. XML gives us some flexibilities to correct and maintain cases. We make a prototype system, PPSS(Project Planning Support System) that help project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP implementations. The object of the system is to support project manager to make a pre-project plan of ERP. We hope the result of the study can be applied to other information systems. Our research would be extended to cover other stages of project planning.

In-Vehicle AR-HUD System to Provide Driving-Safety Information

  • Augmented reality (AR) is currently being applied actively to commercial products, and various types of intelligent AR systems combining both the Global Positioning System and computer-vision technologies are being developed and commercialized. This paper suggests an in-vehicle head-up display (HUD) system that is combined with AR technology. The proposed system recognizes driving-safety information and offers it to the driver. Unlike existing HUD systems, the system displays information registered to the driver's view and is developed for the robust recognition of obstacles under bad weather conditions. The system is composed of four modules: a ground obstacle detection module, an object decision module, an object recognition module, and a display module. The recognition ratio of the driving-safety information obtained by the proposed AR-HUD system is about 73%, and the system has a recognition speed of about 15 fps for both vehicles and pedestrians.
