  • When spatial data which a user requests are stored various data servers in web mapping environment, it is necessary to access one more map servers to gain data and then integrate them. This paper designs and implements a fusion map server for web mapping. The proposed fusion map server has three characteristics. First, it has customizing metadata which reflect various user's requests. Second, it provides fusion services which integrate spatial and non-spatial data. Last, it uses the dynamic liking method to support the fusion services efficiently. We design and implement a publisher client, a map server and a fusion map server for proposed map server.

  • In the firewall systems of 3-tier client/server systems, in general, data transmission speed is declined rapidly according to the duplicated proxy services in application server and fire wall server. In this paper, an application server configuration containing the proxy functions of firewall system is proposed so that the high speed data transmission can be achieved. The proposed application server can form the dual-homed gateway by means of the additional network interface card. The screened router of application server forms the screened subnet gateway that can separate the internal network. The proposed server configuration is more effective in traffic control than the traditional firewall systems and provides high speed data transmission with the functions of firewall. It can be also cost-effective alternative to the firewall system.

  • As the information oriented society is developing, computer is one of the necessities in our daily life. Especially, the client-server system based on internet is widely used due to the enormous amounts of data and the increasing awareness of the data security. Under these circumstances, the market of the server computer with the $57 billion global market is increasing steadily regardless of economic conditions. However, the domestic server market entirely depends on overseas companies with high technical skills and production power. Therefore, we investigates technology and development trends of the server power system to assist domestic companies in entering the global server power system market in this special paper.

  • As the Internet continues to grow, network games are widely spreaded. For most network games, many users' meet on a server causes a heavy load to the sewer, which in turn brings inconvenience to the user. Moreover, it demands increased expense to the service provider for deploying additional servers. In this paper, we propose a hybrid distributed system for network games. In our proposed system, a client is independents of the server and exchanges information directly with other clients. The client depends on servers only for the update information. The proposed methodology classifies messages according to the characteristics of information that the message handles and applies either client-to-server and pear-to-pear communication for processing messages which increases the efficiency of systems.

  • Many public organizations have been adopting and operating various servers. These servers run on Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems that generally use less than 10% of their capacity. For migrating a public organization to cloud computing, we must first virtualize the server environment. This article proposes a strategy for server virtualization that the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) has done and describes the effects of a public organization migrating to cloud computing. The NIPA Computer Center planned an effective virtualization migration on various servers. This project of virtualization migration was conducted with the existing policy of separate x86 servers and Unix servers. There are three popular approaches to server virtualization: a virtual machine model, a paravirtual machine model, and virtualization at the operating system layer. We selected a VMware solution that uses the virtual machine model. We selected servers for virtualization in the following manner. Servers were chosen that had the highest rate of service usage and CPU usage and had been operating for five years or more. However, we excluded servers that require 80% or greater rates of CPU usage. After adopting the server virtualization technique, we consolidated 32 servers into 3 servers. Virtualization is a technology that can provide benefits in these areas: server consolidation and optimization, infrastructure cost reduction and improved operational flexibility, and implementation of a dual computing environment.

  • The Web is widely used to share information, utilizing the client-server model. In the client-server model, since the server only responds according to explicit requests from the client, the model seems hard to support sharing of massive information rapidly changing in today's Internet. The technology known as Server Push enables the server to actively provide information to clients without explicit requests from the clients using Web pages. Although various studies have been done to realize the Server Push technologies, there are many problems in the development of push application without push engines which support infrastructures for the effective development of push application. In this paper, we develop JPE(Java Push Engine) which presents the effective support for push services over the Internet. JPE is composed of two main components: the JPE Core supporting Epoll and the JPE Library supporting asynchronous communication. In addition, JPE defines various push functions and provides programming interfaces supporting the functions. Push applications developed using JPE effectively manages client connections with Epoll mechanism, providing push services through AJAX-based asynchronous communication.

  • The Internet has become an important instrument for providing many pieces of information to us. And server systems offer the various services after processing a volume of information, it's network topology also has been complex for providing information. Therefore this expansion means the importance of fast and sustained management of server systems. But most of server systems are located in fire-walls to allow only restricted access. Moreover, due to the difference of management based on the different operating system of each server system, management of server system is not to efficiency. That is, sever administrators have to manage by themselves many kinds of servers by using local-based or socket-based single access applications. Therefore, we design and implement a middleware system which allows to manage many kinds of severs integrally ruling XML-based Web Services which have distributed object technology such as CORBA, Java RMI and DCOM, but are free from platforms or development languages. System also provides location transparency and terminal independence and calls a server system management command to manage systems.

  • Previous research on data recovery in Microsoft SQL Server has focused on restoring data based on in the transaction log that might have deleted records exist. However, there was a limit that was not applicable if the related transaction log did not exist or the physical database file was not connected to Server. Since the suspect in the crime scene may delete the data records using a different deletion statements besides "delete", we need to check the remaining data and a recovery possibility of the deleted record. In this paper, we examined the changes "Page Allocation information" of the table, "Unallocation deleted data", "Row Offset Array" in the page according to "delete", "truncate" and "drop" events. Finally it confirmed the possibility of data recovery and availability of management tools in Microsoft SQL Server digital forensic investigation.

  • The server privilege account must be operated through law and regulation. However, due to regulation non-compliance and inadequate operation on financial company server privilege, an incident that every server data being deleted by hacker occur which is later being named as 'NH Bank Cyber Attack'. In this paper, the current operation status on financial company privilege accounts is being analysed to elicit problems and improvement. From the analysis, important evaluation factors will be also selected and applied generating the decision making model for financial company server privilege account operation. The evaluation factor deducted from privilege account status analysis will be used to present and verify the decision making model and formula through AHP(Analytic Hierarchy process).

  • Online games are virtual space where it connects individual users through network connection to offer enjoyment of play games and game developer who service online games have to develop new contents and provide them to users to extend life of their service. Typically, in order to update new contents, all service companies have maintenance schedule to stop the game service for a while to update both server and client applications. Usually this process takes quite amount of time and users do not have any other choice but disconnected from server and wait until it is over. The purpose of this thesis is to describe the advantages of new design system which will allows users to continue to play the game even during the update. The main focus of this design is to make users feel more convenience in online gaming experience by move client from previous server to new server while users are still playing. If they can to connect current client with new server without any certificate validation process while users information from the client can automatically pass through to the new server, users may not need to experience maintenance for new contents update.
