  • Recently, security behavior of members of organizations has been recognized as a critical part of information security at the corporate level. Leakage of customers' information brings more attention to information security behavior of organizations and the importance of a task force. Research on information breach and information security is actively conducted of personal behavior toward security threats or members of organizations who use security technology. This study aims to identify factors of influence on information security behavior of members of organizations and to empirically find out how these factors affect information security behavior through behavior toward attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavior control. On the basis of the research, this study will present effective and efficient ways to foster information security activities of members of organizations. To this end, the study presented a research model that applied significant variables based on integration of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Theory of Protection Motivation (TPM). To empirically verify this research model, the study conducted a survey of members of organizations who had security-related work experience at companies. So, it is critical for members of organizations to encourage positive word of mouth (WOM) about information security behavior. Results show that based on the integration of TPM and TPB, perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, perceived efficiency and perceived barriers of information security behavior of members of organizations had significant influences on mediating variables such as behavior toward attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control and intention. They also had significant influences on organization information security behavior which is a dependent variable. This study indicates companies should introduce various security solutions so that members of the organizations can prevent and respond to potential internal and external security risks. In addition, they will have to take actions to inspect vulnerability of information system and to meet security requirements such as security patches.

  • As the smart phone market is drastically expanding, there is a steady growth of recent vicious activities such as data manipulation, billing fraud, identity theft, and leakage of personal information that are security threats to Social Network Games(SNG). Due to the threats, Strong development standard is required for security enhancement of SNG. Nonetheless, short life-spans, additional expenses, and the necessities to provide a sound game service hinders developers from reaching their security goals. Therefore, this research investigates the weak points of SNG through memory manipulation experiments based on the currently provided SNG services. In addition, the research presents counter measures and security enforcements that are light in service load and simplistic which can be applied in the developing process.

  • In the current credit scoring system, the credit bureau gathers credit information from financial institutions and calculates a credit score based on it. However, because all sensitive credit information is stored in one central authority, there are possibilities of privacy violations and successful external attacks can breach large amounts of personal information. To handle this problem, we propose privacy-preserving credit scoring in which a user gathers credit information from financial institutions, calculates a credit score and proves that the score is calculated correctly using a zero-knowledge proof and a blockchain. In addition, we propose a zero-knowledge proof scheme that can efficiently prove committed inputs to check whether the inputs of a zero-knowledge proof are actually provided by financial institutions with a blockchain. This scheme provides perfect zero-knowledge unlike Agrawal et al.'s scheme, short CRSs and proofs, and fast proof and verification. We confirmed that the proposed credit scoring can be used in the real world by implementing it and experimenting with a credit score algorithm which is similar to that of the real world.

  • Korea is concerned with information security industry due to recent leak-out private information of 3 card companies. Executives are aware of damage from breach of security such as personal data spill, is more dangerous than any other financial risks. The information security industry, which was limited in physical security and network security formerly, is evolving into convergence security of public and facility security industry. The field of interest has also been changed into security of smart phone and intelligence image recently, from firewall or Anti-virus. The convergence security is originally about access control of facility, but recently its demand has been increased mostly by public institutions and major companies. The scope of the industry also varies from finance, education, distribution, national defense, medical care to automobile industry. The market of convergence security has been expanded and new various products and services of security of intelligent vehicle, 'U' healthcare, finance, smart grid and key industries are also developed. It is required to create and enhance of new curriculum and cultivate human resources for the development of knowledge information security industry. Raising standard of education and security consciousness of the nation is also necessary to strengthen the global competitiveness.

  • Recently, as a countermeasure for cyber breach attacks and confidential leak incidents on PC hard disk memory storage data of the metaverse industry, it is required when reviewing and developing a remote-based regular/real-time monitoring and analysis security system. The reason for this is that more than 90% of information security leaks occur on edge-end PCs, and tangible and intangible damage, such as an average of 1.20 billion won per metaverse industrial security secret leak (the most important facts and numerical statistics related to 2018 security, 10.2018. the same time as responding to the root of the occurrence of IT WORLD on the 16th, as it becomes the target of malicious code attacks that occur in areas such as the network system web due to interworking integration when building IT infrastructure, Deep-Access-based regular/real-time remote. The concept of memory analysis and audit system is key.

  • Today, both sides of modern culture are decisively invaded by digitalization. Authentication is considered to be one of the main components in keeping this process secure. Cyber criminals are working hard in penetrating through the existing network channels to encounter malicious attacks. When it comes to enterprises, the company's information is a major asset. Question here arises is how to protect the vital information. This takes into account various aspects of a society often termed as hyper connected society including online communication, purchases, regulation of access rights and many more. In this research paper, we will discuss about the concepts of MFA and KBA, i.e., Multi-Factor Authentication and Knowledge Based Authentication. The purpose of MFA and KBA its utilization for human.to.everything..interactions, offering easy to be used and secured validation mechanism while having access to the service. In the research, we will also explore the existing yet evolving factor providers (sensors) used for authenticating a user. This is an important tool to protect data from malicious insiders and outsiders. Access Management main goal is to provide authorized users the right to use a service also preventing access to illegal users. Multiple techniques can be implemented to ensure access management. In this paper, we will discuss various techniques to ensure access management suitable for enterprises, primarily focusing/restricting our discussion to multifactor authentication. We will also highlight the role of knowledge-based authentication in multi factor authentication and how it can make enterprises data more secure from Cyber Attack. Lastly, we will also discuss about the future of MFA and KBA.

  • Information service technology continues to develop, and information service continues to expand based on the IT convergence trend. The premeter-based security model chosen by many organizations can increase the effectiveness of security technologies. However, in the premeter-based security model, it is very difficult to deny security threats that occur from within. To solve this problem, a zero trust model has been proposed. The zero trust model requires authentication for user and terminal environments, device security environment verification, and real-time monitoring and control functions. The operating environment of the information service may vary. Information security management should be able to response effectively when security threats occur in various systems at the same time. In this study, we proposed a security policy distribution system in the object reference method that can effectively distribute security policies to many systems. It was confirmed that the object reference type security policy distribution system proposed in this study can support all of the operating environments of the system constituting the information service. Since the policy distribution performance was confirmed to be similar to that of other security systems, it was verified that it was sufficiently effective. However, since this study assumed that the security threat target was predefined, additional research is needed on the identification method of the breach target for each security threat.

  • Widespread use of wireless networks has drawn attention to ascertain confidential communication and proper authentication of an entity before granting access to services over insecure channels. Recently, Truong et al. proposed a modified dynamic ID-based authentication scheme which they claimed to resist smart-card-theft attack. Nevertheless, we find that their scheme is prone to smart-card-theft attack contrary to the author's claim. Besides, anyone can impersonate the user as well as service provider server and can breach the confidentiality of communication by merely eavesdropping the login request and server's reply message from the network. We also notice that the scheme does not impart user anonymity and forward secrecy. Therefore, we present another authentication scheme keeping apart the threats encountered in the design of Truong et al.'s scheme. We also prove the security of the proposed scheme with the help of widespread BAN (Burrows, Abadi and Needham) Logic.

  • To collect server information and construct network map enable us to prevent security breach, prepare for national cyber warfare and make effective policies. In this paper, we analyze well-known network scanners, Nmap and ZMap, and construct network map using banner grabbing. We use multiple threads in order to increase scanning speed and arrange IP lists by specific order to reduce the load on information gathering targets. Also, we applied performance tests to compare the real-time banner grabbing tool with the existing network scanners. As a result, we gathered server information from domestic and overseas servers and derived a risk index based on the collected database. Although there are slight differences among countries, we can identify the risky situation that many users in every country are exposed to several security breaches.

  • As the ability to use data becomes competitive power in the data-driven economy, the effort to create economic value by using personal data is emphasized as much as to protect personal data. EU's PSD2(the second Payment Service directive) became the initiative of the Open Banking trends all over the world, as it is the Mydata policy which protects the data subject's right by empowering the subject to control over the personal data with the right to data portability and promotes personal data usages and transfer. Korean government is now fast adopting EU's PSD2 in financial sector, but there is growing concerns in personal data abuse and misuse, and data breach. This study analyzes domestic financial Mydata policy in comparison with EU's PSD2 and focus on Personal information life-cycle risks of financial Mydata policy. Some suggestions on how to promote personal information and privacy in domestic financial Mydata Policy will be given.
