  • The purpose of this study were to clarify differences in information processing type in relation to the consumer knowledge and involvement of apparel and to clarify differences in demographic characteristics in relation to the information processing type of consumer. The subjects of this study were female adults who lived in Seoul, Kyunggi or Incheon areas and Quota sampling using age and residential areas was employed. Major statistical methods were Chi square test and discriminant analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Consumer knowledge was found to be significantly related to the classification of information processing type. Low knowledge group tended to process infarmation rationally but high knowledge group utilized both rational and experiential process. 2. Consumer involvement was found to be significantly related to the classification of information processing type. Low involvement group tended to process information passively. High involvement group utilized both rational and experiential process 3. Information processing type was related to consumer's demographic characteristics such as age, education level, marriage, and purchase expense of apparel

  • Purpose More than 7.6 million mobile apps could be approved on both Apple iTunes Store and Google Play. For managing those existed Apps, Apple Inc. established twenty-four primary categories, as well as Google Play had thirty-three primary categories. However, all of their categorizations have appeared more and more problems in managing and classifying numerous apps, such as app miscategorized, cross-attribution problems, lack of categorization keywords index, etc. The purpose of this study focused on introducing individual information cognitive processing as the classification criteria to update the current categorization on Apple iTunes Store. Meanwhile, we tried to observe the effectiveness of the new criteria from a classification process on Apple iTunes Store. Design/Methodology/Approach A research approach with four research stages were performed and a series of mixed methods was developed to identify the feasibility of adopting individual information cognitive processing as categorization criteria. By using machine-learning techniques with Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency and Singular Value Decomposition, keyword lists were extracted. By using the prior research results related to car app's categorization, we developed individual information cognitive processing. Further keywords extracting process from the extracted keyword lists was performed. Findings By TF-IDF and SVD, keyword lists from more than five thousand apps were extracted. Furthermore, we developed individual information cognitive processing that included a categorization teaching process and learning process. Three top three keywords for each category were extracted. By comparing the extracted results with prior studies, the inter-rater reliability for two different methods shows significant reliable, which proved the individual information cognitive processing to be reliable as criteria of categorization on Apple iTunes Store. The updating suggestions for Apple iTunes Store were discussed in this paper and the results of this paper may be useful for app store hosts to improve the current categorizations on app stores as well as increasing the efficiency of app discovering and locating process for both app developers and users.

  • In today's highly competitive business environment, most companies try to manage their logistics function strategically to satisfy their orders as cost-effectively as possible and maximize their present and future profits. In this environment, logistics process visibility is essential to companies wishing to competently track components, parts, or products in transit from the original suppliers to the final destinations. Thus, it is important to provide instantly and easily recognizable information about such visibility to all stakeholders, especially customers. To ensure a high-level geographical visibility of the logistics processes, in this paper, we propose a way of implementing a GIS-based logistics process monitoring environment and of integrating a performer's work processing environment on the monitoring system. Additionally, to provide more abundant monitoring information, we describe a procedure for creating and processing various monitoring information, which are represented as ECA rules in this work processing environment. Therefore, it is possible to provide intuitive and visible monitoring information regarding the logistics process and resource elements.

  • The IoE service process for maximizing efficiency of information storage and utilization classifies in step five which are interconnected, data collection, storage, organize, analyze, and share. Two key processing elements are store and forward. Keeping the useful knowledge in safe location is "store processing", and utilization of stored useful knowledge is defined as "forward processing" during the IoE service process. Where, past experience data can tell us how to prepare the future utilization. That is, past experience is organized store processing, and preparation for the future is shared forward processing through analysis. To maximize the utilization and storage of information effectively, the various methodologies for IoE service process propose and research in this paper.

  • The advancement of information technologies including the Internet has affected the way of social information processing as well as brought about the paradigm shift to the information society. Accordingly, it is very important to study the process of social information processing over the digital media through which social information is generated, distributed, and led to social consensus. In this study, we analyze the mechanism of social information processing, identify a process model of social consensus and institutionalization of the results, and finally propose a set of information processing characteristics on the internet media. We deploy the ethnographic approach to analyze the meaning of group behavior in the context of society to analyze two major events which happened in Korean society. The formation process of social consensus is found to consist of 5 steps: suggestion of social issues, selective reflection on public opinion, acceptance of the issues and diffusion, social consensus, and institutionalization and feedback. The key characteristics of information processing in the Internet is grouped into proactive response to an event, the changes in the role of opinion leader, the flexibility of proposal and analysis, greater scalability, relevance to consensus making, institutionalization and interaction. This study contributes to the literature by proposing a process model of social information processing which can be used as the basis for analyzing the social consensus making process from the social network perspective. In addition, this study suggests a new perspective where the utility of the Internet media can be understood from the social information processing so that other disciplines including politics, communications, and management can improve the decision making performance in utilizing the Internet media.

  • In the case of blur processing, it is common to use a tool such as Photoshop to perform processing manually. However, it can be considered very efficient if the blur is processed at one time in the object detection process. Based on this point, we can use the object detection model to blur the objects during the process. The object detection is performed by using the YOLO [3] model. If such blur processing is used, it may be additionally applied to streaming data of video or image.

  • As video equipments such as CCTV are used for various purposes in fields of society, digital video data processing technology such as automatic motion detection is essential. In this paper, we proposed and implemented a more stable and accurate motion detection system based on background subtraction technique. We could improve the accuracy and stability of motion detection over existing methods by efficiently processing color information of digital image data. We divided the procedure of color information processing into each components of color information : brightness component, color component of color information and merge them. We can process each component's characteristics with maximum consideration. Our color information processing provides more efficient color information in motion detection than the existing methods. We improved the success rate of motion detection by our background update process that analyzed the characteristics of the moving background in the natural environment and reflected it to the background image.

  • In an attempt to reduce processing cost and to improve resolution of PDPs, micro mold transfer processing route for barrier ribs of plasma display panel was developed. In this study, the parameters that may cause defects during the process were identified, which include the shrinkage during UV curing process, stress due to evaporation of organic components, and sintering shrinkage. Considering such parameters, UV curable paste was developed and barrier ribs of PDPs were successfully processed via the process. In addition, the process was successfully applied for the processing of barrier ribs with embedded counter electrodes.
