Analysis of e-Learning based Information Security Education Curriculum (e-러닝 기반의 정보보호 교육과정 분석 연구)

  • In this study, we study and analysis on e-Learning based Information Security curriculum. e-Learning based university education courses will be much more established in Korea based on advanced IT technology. Computer related majors such as 'Computer Science' and 'Software' can be easily combined with e-Learning system. And Advanced Information Security Expert (AISE) educational course must be broadly opened for satisfying national requirements. In this study, we analyze e-Learning course on Information Security major based on off-line curriculum and suggest new model for further research.

A Study on the Administration of Computer Curriculum for Commerce·Information High School Considering College Education of Same Major (동일계 상급학교 진학을 고려한 상업·정보계 고등학교의 컴퓨터 교육과정 운영 방안 연구)

  • The number of college-oriented students in vocational high schools is increasing every year. For this reason, it is necessary to revise the curriculum of vocational schools, so that it is properly connected to college level education. In this paper, we try to find problems in computer curriculum by analyzing computer related courses currently taught by information computer departments in commerce information high schools. Based on the findings, we propose a desirable computer curriculum for commercial information high schools. We include the contents of each course, and suggest the way to administer the proposed curriculum in three year course of study.

The Experience of Long-term Caregiver Education Courses (요양보호사 교육과정 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • This study is for understanding the experiences of students and lecturers in education course for the certification of the long-term caregiver. Samples are 12 students who had completed the course and 7 lecturers. The depth-interview is performed for gathering information and the phenomenological approach is applied to analyse the cases. 33 meanings, 15 themes and 4 theme clusters for students and 25 meanings, 11 themes and 4 theme clusters are found from the cases. Students' experiences are 'vague motivation for enrollment', 'low quality of education,' 'lack of professional skills after the completion of the course,' 'needs for improvement the course' and lecturers' experiences are 'more interests in benefits than study(students' motivation),' 'low quality of education,' 'lack of governmental administration,' 'needs for improvement of the course and the long-term care insurance.' In conclusion, some recommendations are suggested.

The Content Analysis of Informatics Education as a General Education Course in Universities in terms of Information Technology (IT) Fluency (IT 유창성의 관점에서 대학 교양과정의 정보교육 내용 분석)

  • It is required that university students acquire information technology in order to adapt to the information society. Therefore, it is inevitable for universities to provide students with an effective curriculum to improve IT fluency. The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of the informatics learning programs in universities in Korea in terms of IT fluency which is defined by National Academy of Science NRC99. Based on the information that the Academy Information Center announced, the content analysis was carried out from September 2010 to June 2011. According to the result of the analysis, 84 of 201 universities provide the informatics education as a mandatory course. 29 of them mainly provide the programs about word processors, spreadsheet, and presentation that are regarded as contemporary skills. These programs cover the fundamental concept, but the contents which require intellectual capabilities are rarely addressed. Moreover, the informatics education has mainly focused on elementary and secondary education. In this sense, it is valid to analyze the contents and current states of the informatics learning programs required in higher education.

  • In the past society, it was possible for parents to provide career guidance at home and career education without professional education courses and knowledge about career education at school since the simple job and the slow pace of social change. However, in modern society, the profession itself becomes complicated, and professional functions and knowledge are required in the profession, and the job world is changed and also a lot of jobs will disappear. This change has made it difficult to establish the value of work and then career education has become very important and urgent. In this paper we develop a career education app for elementary school students and then examine the pedagogical effect of career education app on career education. We applied our proposed course to an elementary school in Seoul. In the course, totally eight hours of classes were offered to the 5-6th graders of an elementary class. As a result, students who took part in the class have a better understanding of the job and also the satisfaction level of the course was also very high.

  • Ubiquitous learning environment needs various new model of e-learning as web based education system has been proposed. The demand for the customized courseware which is required from the learners is increased. the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. But many education systems that had been studied recently did not service fluently the courses which learners had been wanting and could not provide the way for the learners to study the learning weakness which is observed in the continuous feedback of the course. In this paper we propose a multi-agent system for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm via personalized ubiquitous environment factors. First proposed system analyze learner's result of evaluation and calculates learning accomplishment. From this accomplishment the multi-agent schedules the suitable course for the learner. The learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course.

Effectiveness of "Women in Engineering" Course ("여성과 공학" 교과목의 효과성 검증 연구)

  • Women in the predominantly male-oriented college of engineering which is afflicted by the high dropout rate and the low employment rate of coeds in their majoring fields because of the die-hard male dominant culture. In order to resolve the related problems, P University has been actively engaged in a movement called "Women into Engineering" (WIE) to raise the gender cognitive awareness and to train women engineers for highly qualified work force. As part of the movement, a subject called "Women in Engineering" that focuses on the gender cognitive perspective is effective to reduce the dropout rate and to land a job inside their fields by stimulating their interest in their specialty and masting soft/hard skills. The study was conducted a survey of the coeds who have completed the "Women in Engineering" course to evaluate the degree of satisfaction perceived, and a t-test through comparing the group of the coeds and a group of coeds who have not taken the course. The results showed statistically significant responses indicating that both groups of coeds would like to see WIE offer more basic engineering courses like "Women in Engineering". This may lay the foundation to offer other major engineering courses for juniors and seniors that emphasize the gender cognitive approach.

  • 제4차 산업혁명시대에서 강조하는 SW교육은 컴퓨팅 관련 교과 뿐만 아니라 타 교과에서도 그 중요성이 대두되고 있으며, 따라서 정보과 교사가 아닌 비 정보과 교사들에게도 SW 교사 연수의 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 선행 연구들의 고찰을 통하여 비 정보과 교사를 위한 햄스터로봇을 활용한 SW 교사 연수 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 미래 사회의 인재를 육성하기 위해 중학교에 정보 교과를 필수화하였다. 이를 지도할 정보·컴퓨터 교사를 확보하기 위해 비 정보과 교사를 대상으로 부전공연수를 실시하여 정보 교육을 할 수 있는 자격을 부여하고 있다. 이들은 일반 학습자와 다르게 교육학적 지식과 역량은 높으나, 내용 지식은 컴퓨터과학의 초보자 수준이다. 이러한 학습자의 특성을 고려하여 마이크로비트를 활용한 연수를 12차시 동안 진행하였고, 이는 비 정보과 교사의 프로그래밍 자아효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 본 연구는 단일집단에게 실험을 실시하였으므로 그 효과를 일반화하는 데 한계가 있다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 비교 집단을 설정하는 실험 설계로 교육 효과를 검증할 필요가 있다.

The Effects of an Evidence-based Nursing Course Using Action Learning on Undergraduate Nursing Students (액션러닝을 활용한 근거기반간호 수업운영의 효과)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of an evidence-based nursing (EBN) course using action learning-based team learning in undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The participants who consented were 45 second-year nursing students (22 in the experimental, 23 in the control group) from a university in G-city, Korea. The intervention included lectures, practicals, team activities and reflection on overviewing EBN, formulating clinical questions, searching the evidence, and criticizing the research articles. At the beginning and the end of the 7-week EBN course, the participants completed self-reported questionnaires. Frequencies, $x^2$-test, t-test, and ANCOVA with the SPSS program 18.0, were used to analyze the data. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher scores on EBN competency (F=25.80, p<001), information literacy (F=13.75, p=.001), and proactivity in problem solving (F=5.32, p=.026) than the control group. Conclusion: This study provides evidence that an EBN course improves undergraduate nursing students' EBN competencies, information literacy, and proactivity in problem solving. Team learning in EBN education can be an effective teaching strategy.
