  • This paper presents adaptive control of robot manipulator using neuro-fuzzy controller Fuzzy logic is control incorrect system without correct mathematical modeling.   • The purpose of this study was to verity the effect of project method on the task performance ability in development of a solar-tracking-control-system of specialized high school. In order to carry out this study, 2 classes of technical high school in Jeonbuk are chosen as experimental and control groups. The experimental group was taught by project method and the control group was taught by traditional instruction. Project method was designed by 4 stages-selection of goal, planning, implementation and evaluation. According to these stages, experimental group's students carried out the project that developing solar tracking control system in solar generation. The results of this study are as follows; the project method was more effective than the traditional instruction in planning ability for task performance and implementation ability, subordinates of task performance ability. However, information gathering ability and evaluation ability on task performance, others in subordinates, it is not clear that the project method is more effective.

Effects of Programmed Information on Coping Behavior and Emotions of Mothers of Young Children Undergoing IV Procedures

  • Purpose. To determine the effects of provision of information on mother's problem focused coping ability during their child's intravenous procedure. Methods. Data were collected from 56 mothers whose children have admitted to pediatric ward in the hospital. The participants included 27 intervention group mothers and 29 control group mothers. For the information intervention, 'Programmed Information for Parental Coping before Intravenous Procedure (PIPC- IP)', video program was made based on self-regulation theory for the experimental group mothers. Mother's coping ability was measured by parental supportive behavior, parental beliefs and Profile of Mood State (POMS). Results. Mothers who received PIPC-IP showed significantly higher levels of supportive behavior (t = 3.55, p = .005) and Parental Beliefs (t = 2.95, p = .005), but no significant difference in negative mood on POMS (t = .15, p = .87) compared to mothers in the control group. Conclusions. These results demonstrate that PIPC-IP is an effective intervention to increase the supportive behaviors and beliefs of mothers' problem focused coping ability but not the negative mood.

Effects of Freezing of Gait and Visual Information on the Static Postural Control Ability in Patients with Parkinson's Disease

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of freezing of gait and visual information on the static postural control ability in patients with Parkinson's Disease (PD) during the bipedal stance with feet together. Method: This study included a total of 36 patients with PD; the freezer group included 17 PD patients (age: $69.3{\pm}6.2yrs$, height: $159.6{\pm}9.0cm$, weight: $63.4{\pm}9.78kg$) and the nonfreezer group included 19 PD patients (age: $71.4{\pm}5.6yrs$, height: $155.8{\pm}7.1cm$, weight: $57.7{\pm}8.6kg$). Static postural control ability was analyzed using variables of center of pressure (COP) and dividing by mediolateral, anteroposterior, and integration factors during a bipedal stance with the eyes open and closed. Results: Freezers and nonfreezers showed increases in anteroposterior velocity, mediolateral velocity, averaged velocity, and mediolateral 95% edge frequency when visual information was blocked. Additionally, freezers had greater anteroposterior range, 95% confidence ellipse area, and COP anteroposterior mean position than nonfreezers. Conclusion: Freezers and nonfreezers showed a reduction in static postural control ability when visual information was blocked. Additionally, the results of this study found a significant difference in static postural control ability between freezers and nonfreezers with PD. In particular, anteroposterior range, 95% confidence ellipse area, and COP anteroposterior mean position might be used to distinguish between freezers and nonfreezers with PD.

Fuzzy Neural Network Active Disturbance Rejection Control for Two-Wheeled Self-Balanced Robot

  • Considering the problems of poor control effect, weak disturbance rejection ability and adaptive ability of two-wheeled self-balanced robot (TWSBR) systems on undulating roads, this paper proposes a fuzzy neural network active disturbance rejection controller (FNNADRC), that is based on fuzzy neural network (FNN) for online correction of active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC)'s nonlinear control rate. Firstly, the dynamic model of the TWSBR is established and decoupled, the extended state observer (ESO) is used to compensate dynamically and linearize the upright and displacement subsystems. Then, the nonlinear PD control rate and FNN are designed, and the FNN is used to modify the control parameters of the nonlinear PD control rate in real time. Finally, the proposed control strategy is simulated and compared with the traditional ADRC and fuzzy active disturbance rejection controller (FADRC). The simulation results show that the control effect of the proposed control strategy is slightly better than ADRC and FADRC.

Effect of Health Education Program on the Ego-identity, Social problem-solving ability and Self-leadership of Health college students

  • In this paper, we propose that Health Education Program can be a competency strengthening program based on the training of excellent healthcare professional in the future by confirming that this paper is effective in improving social problem solving ability and self-leadership in health college students. Methods: This study was designed using the nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design. Sixty students were assigned either to the experimental group (30 students) or control group (30 students). Data were analyzed with $x^2-test$ and t-test using SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The experimental group showed significant higher scores for social problem-solving ability (t=2.12, p=.038) and self-leadership (t=2.91, p=.007) compared to the control group 5 weeks after the program finished was supported by significant differences in the scores between the two groups. Conclusion: These findings showed that the Health Education program has a significant effect on improving social problem-solving ability and self-leadership in nursing college students and the program can be used as a tool to promote the social problem-solving ability and self-leadership of Health college students. Further studies are warranted to examine long term effects of health education.

  • In industrial actual control system, PID controller has been used with its high delicate control system in position control system. PID controller has simple structure and superior ability in several characteristics. When the response of system is changed by delay time, variable load , disturbances and external environment, control gain of PID controller must be readjusted on the system dynamic characteristics. Therefore, a control ability of PID controller is degraded when the control gain is inappropriately determined. When the response characteristic of system is changed under a condition, control gain of PID controller must be changed adaptively to be a waited response of system. In this paper an PIDA controller is constructed by Two-Layers Neural Network applying back-propagation(BP) algorithm. Form the result of compute. simulation in the proposed controller, its usefulness is verified.

Power Quality Disturbances Identification Method Based on Novel Hybrid Kernel Function

  • A hybrid kernel function of support vector machine is proposed to improve the classification performance of power quality disturbances. The kernel function mathematical model of support vector machine directly affects the classification performance. Different types of kernel functions have different generalization ability and learning ability. The single kernel function cannot have better ability both in learning and generalization. To overcome this problem, we propose a hybrid kernel function that is composed of two single kernel functions to improve both the ability in generation and learning. In simulations, we respectively used the single and multiple power quality disturbances to test classification performance of support vector machine algorithm with the proposed hybrid kernel function. Compared with other support vector machine algorithms, the improved support vector machine algorithm has better performance for the classification of power quality signals with single and multiple disturbances.

간호대학생을 위한 간호정보활용역량 교육프로그램 개발 및 효과 검증 (Development and effects of a nursing information literacy competency education program for undergraduate nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop and test the effects of a nursing information literacy competency education program for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. The subjects consisted of 42 sophomore undergraduate nursing students who had completed a fundamental nursing course (experimental group: n=21, control group n=21). The nursing information literacy competency education program consisted of 8 steps in 8 sessions, taught over 4 weeks, which was 20 hours in total. Data were collected between January 23 and March 14, 2019 and were analyzed using Chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, paired t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 23.0. Results: Significant differences were shown between the experimental and control groups regarding nursing information literacy competency (F=91.74, p<.001), problem-solving ability (F=52.43, p<.001), self-directed learning ability (F=36.61, p<.001), and evidence-based practice competency (F=59.66, p<.001). Conclusion: The nursing information literacy competency education program was effective in improving the nursing information literacy competency, problem-solving ability, self-directed learning ability, and evidence-based practice competency of nursing students. Hence, we recommend the nursing information literacy education program will be included as an independent course in the nursing curriculum for undergraduate nursing students to promote a needed proficiency in nursing information literacy competency.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate PNF exercises for balance ability in elderly. Methods: This is a literature study with books and articles. Results: The balance ability in elderly is reduced by decreasing proprioception, visual and vestibular sensation. PNF exercise is highly efficient for functional activities to control posture and movement. It is also highly efficient for balance ability in elderly. This is considered effective exercise program for maintain and to promote balance ability in elderly. Conclusion: PNF exercise is highly efficient for functional activities to control posture and movement. In addition, it is also efficient for balancing posture and movement in cooperation with visual information and vestibular system. This exercise is considered to be effective exercise program to maintain posture and improve balance ability.
