  • This study is to confirm the effects of COVID-19 stress and patient-related social stress (unreasonable demand, aggression) on emotional exhaustion and patient-friendly orientation. In addition, it is to confirm the role of moderating variables in the relationship between the meaning of work of health care providers and patient-related stress caused by COVID-19 and emotional exhaustion. Data were collected through an online survey targeting health care service providers, and the final 219 copies were used for analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that corona stress is a factor that increases emotional burnout for health care providers. In the case of patient-related stress, it was confirmed that the patient's unreasonable demands increased emotional exhaustion, but aggression did not show statistically significant results. These research results can provide not only theoretical implications for health care service quality improvement, but also managerial implications for preparing plans for internal employee management.

  • The present study was conducted to assess the relationship between hyperuricemia and anemia in Korean adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Data from 557 adults (age ≥ 20 years) in the Eighth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2019-2021) were analyzed. Several key findings were identified. First, after adjusting for the related variables, the odds ratio (OR) of anemia (hemoglobin [Hb] < 13.0 mg/dL in men or < 12 mg/dL in women), using the normouricemia group (uric acid [UA] < 7.0 mg/dL in men or < 6.0 mg/dL in women) as a reference, was positively significant for the hyperuricemia group (uric acid [UA] ≥ 7.0 mg/dL in men or ≥ 6.0 mg/dL in women) in overall population (odds ratio [OR], 1.719; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.371-2.942), men (OR, 2.008; 95% CI, 1.013-3.165), and women (OR, 2.246; 95% CI, 1.315-3.835). In conclusions, hyperuricemia was associated with an increase in anemia in both Korean men and women with chronic kidney disease.

  • This study conducted an eight-week equestrian exercise for 20 adults aged 20 or older to find out the effect of equestrian exercise on the flexibility of the human body.As a result of the experiment, the range of flexion-tension in the waist joint motion increased from an average of 120.2° to an average of 132.5° before the experiment, and the range of lateral bending increased from an average of 65.8° to an average of 67.3°. In the Sit and reach Test, it increased from 2.94 mm to 4.97 mm before the experiment. It was found that the range of motion of the joint increased during flexion and extension of the waist, and as the range of lateral bending increased, the flexibility of the human body increased. To confirm this, a flexibility test was conducted, and I believe that riding equipment exercise is a physiotherapy intervention that prevents back pain and increases flexibility in the human body, I would like to suggest that it can be used to promote health not only for patients with diseases such as back pain but also for the healthy general public.

  • This study is aimed at improving nursing students' broad understanding and positive attitude toward the elderly by examining basic data on prejudice, social distand and behavior for nursing students who should play a key role in caring for the elderly. We want to find a way to implement it. The subject of this study was a survey of 145 nursing students located in J-city, Gyeongnam, and the IBM SPSS 21.0 program was used for data analysis. To summarize the study results, the subjects' behavior toward the elderly was negatively correlated with prejudice aganinst the elderly(r=-.171, p=.040), and positively correlated with social distance(r=.387, p<.001). Relationship, social distance an prejudice toward the elderly showed a positive correlation(r=.171, p=.040). Prejudice toward the elderly, social distance, and positive behavior toward the elderly are important factors for nursing students who should play a key role in nursing care for the elderly in an aging society. Therfore, a study on differences among nursing students by region should be conducted in the future.

  • This study investigated the general characteristics, oral health and oral behavior of cancer survivors to improve the quality of life of cancer patients. These factors are analyzed using the results from the 7th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(2016~2018). Data were analysed using SPSS Statistics Ver. 26.0 and Chi-squared test were performed to analyze the data. Most of the survey subjects answered that their oral health status was below average. As the age of cancer survivors increased, the experience of dental caries and periodontal disease was significantly higher (p<0.05). It was found that lower the economic and educational level, perceived as bad was the subjective oral health (p<0.05), chewing problems (p<0.001), speech (p<0.01) difficulties and low the frequency of toothbrush use. In conclusion, It is necessary to develop an appropriate oral health management program to prevent oral diseases in consideration of the residence and socioeconomic level of cancer survivors.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the roles of health care information managers in response to rapidly changing environments, analyze students' educational needs, and suggest ways to improve the curriculum of universities. A questionnaire was organized and a survey was conducted by deriving the roles of health care information managers based on the competency units presented in previous studies and NCS. As a result, first, it was found that there is a high need to improve medical information support, statistics generation and utilization, and regulation management in the current role. Second, for future roles, the priority of improvement for work process designers, clinical research coordinators, and business change managers was high. Reflecting these students' educational needs, universities need to establish an environmental basis for organic linkage of related subjects and step-by-step analysis and feedback efforts of instructors' training courses.

  • Smoking is known to be a causative factor of periodontal disease in addition to drinking alcohol. However, studies on microorganisms in oral cavity according to smoking status are currently very poor. In this study, 30 smokers and 30 nonsmokers were selected for university students. It was statistically significant that Streptococcus mutans, Prevotella intermedia were detected more frequently in smokers with 30% compared to non-smokers with 7%, and was detected in subjects that engaged in tooth brushing fewer than three times a day with 20%(p<0.05). P. intermedia was significant in that more bacteria were detected in smokers than in non-smokers (p<0.05). As continuous smoking directly stimulates the oral cavity, bacteria that can cause oral disease may appear more dominant than in non-smokers. Furthermore, it is expected that it will have a positive effect on students' smoking cessation.

  • This study involved 220 dental hygiene students who had experience in field clinical practice. It was carried out to grasp the awareness and practice of dental infection control and to use it as basic data for dental infection control practice. As a result of examining the awareness of dental infection control, the average score was 4.58 points, and the average infection control practice was 4.50 points. As a result of identifying differences between infection control awareness and practice, there were statistically significant differences in all domains. As a result of investigating the effect on infection prevention practices, the grade level, the experience of infection during practice, whether infection control guidelines are provided in the laboratory, awareness of handwashing areas, and wearing personal protective equipment were found to be significant predictors.

  • In this study, a practice model that can improve healthcare information management ability using Chat GPT and SQL was studied. For SQL utilization, learners were asked to use Chat GPT to easily access the database and write SQL for data extraction. For the contents analyzed in the claims database, the sum of insurance claim amount, insurance claim amount by treatment item, claim details corresponding to a specific amount, other diagnosis names of specific prescription patients, examination details of specific diagnosis names, and total amount by item were calculated. As a result of executing SQL statements written for each subject in Chat GPT, it was confirmed that the analysis contents were the same. It is believed that the use of ChatGPT as progressed in this study will contribute to improving the ability of healthcare data management to increase accuracy and efficiency in database management and analysis work, rather than simply simplifying or automating tasks.
