  • The success of social networking sites (SNSs) may depend on many factors. Continuance use of SNSs is one of these. Especially, in the Web environment where users can leave one service with a single mouse click, maintaining existing members cost much time and efforts. Without continuance use of SNSs, SNS-based service would not create any value. This study focused on identifying factors influencing users' continuance intention in SNSs. Based on relevant literature review, six influencing factors were initially identified. They were reputation, relational capital, knowledge quality, compatibility, personalization, and satisfaction. Web-based questionnaire survey was conducted and a total of 325 usable responses were collected. Reliability test and two rounds of exploratory factor analyses resulted in identifying five factors. The relationship between the factors and the continuance intention was tested by using multiple regression analyses. The analyses revealed that satisfaction was the most significant factor. Knowledge quality and relational capital also had significant effects while reputation and personalization did not have significant effect on continuance intention. Instead, reputation and personalization showed significance in influencing satisfaction.

  • Purpose : First, this study is to look into difference between dental hygienists' demographic characteristics and their job satisfaction by examining their demographic characteristics and job satisfaction. Second, this study is to analyze demographic factors of dental hygienists which influence their job satisfaction. Method : This study was made through mail survey with questionnaires for dental hygienists who are personally performing dental hygienist duties at dental clinics in Seoul between June 19 and July 24, 2008 by looking into factors influencing dental hygienists' job satisfaction in order to provide them as background data to enhance their job satisfaction. Total 180 questionnaires were distributed, and among these, 156 questionnaires excluding 24 questions of incomplete responses were statistically analyzed with SPSS 12.0. Result : First, the total mean of dental hygienists' job satisfaction was found to be 2.99 points out of 5 points, and that of their autonomy to be the highest as 3.26, and that of their salary to be the lowest as 2.55. Second, for relation between general characteristics and job satisfaction of dental hygienists, significant difference was found just in job experience(p<0.05), current position(p<0.05), average salary(p<0.001), and the expected period of engagement in dental hygienist duties(p<0.01). Third, descriptive power on demographic characteristics, which were used as an independent variable influencing their job satisfaction, was found to be 17.7%, and among the said factors, average salary had a statistically significant effect on their job satisfaction(p<0.01). Conclusion : The point of salary factor was lowest among 5 factors composing dental hygienists' job satisfaction, and as a result of multiple regression analysis, a factor influencing job satisfaction was average salary. Therefore salary system is required to be improved in order to increase their job satisfaction, and further studies on factors influencing their job satisfaction are also required to be made.

  • In the real world, the user's preference for a particular product is determined by many factors besides the quality of the product. The reflection of these external factors was very difficult because of various fundamental problems including lack of data. However, access to external factors has become easier as the infrastructure for public data is opened and the availability of evaluation platforms with diverse and vast amounts of data. In accordance with these changes, this paper proposes a recommendation system structure that can reflect the collectable factors that affect user's preference, and we try to observe the influence of actual influencing factors on preference by applying case. The structure of the proposed system can be divided into a process of selecting and extracting influencing factors, a process of supplementing insufficient data using sentence analysis, and finally a process of combining and merging user's evaluation data and influencing factors. We also propose a validation process that can determine the appropriateness of the setting of the structural variables such as the selection of the influence factors through comparison between the result group of the proposed system and the actual user preference group.

  • This paper identifies the determinants of adoption and diffusion of e-government services, and examines the causal relationship among the variables of adoption behavior. The main findings, based upon survey responses from service users, are as follows: first, both the value of service and the socially influencing factor have the positive effect to the intention of utilizing services. Second, the socially influencing factor has the indirect effect to the intention of utilizing services, because it positively affects the value of service. The interaction factors, however, do not directly affect the intention of utilizing services. These interaction factors indirectly affect the intention of utilizing services through the path which increases the value of service, and its effect is larger than the socially influencing factor.
