Derivation of External Exposure Characteristics of Industrial Radiography Based on Empirical Evidence

  • Background: This study aims to derive the characteristics of each work type for industrial radiography based on empirical evidence through expert advice and a survey of radiation workers of various types of industrial radiography. Materials and Methods: According to a Korean report, work types of industrial radiography are classified into indoor tests, underground pipe tests, tests in a shielded room (radiographic testing [RT] room test), outdoor field tests, and outdoor large structure tests. For each work type, exposure geometry and radiation sources were mainly identified through the expert advice and workers' survey as reliable empirical evidence. Results and Discussion: The expert advice and survey results were consistent as the proportion of the work types were high in the order of RT room test, outdoor large structure test, underground pipe test, outdoor field test, and indoor test. The outdoor large structure test is the highest exposure risk work type in the industrial radiography. In most types of industrial radiography, radiation workers generally used 192Ir as the main source. In the results of the survey, the portion of sources was high in the order of 192Ir, X-ray generator, 60Co, and 75Se. As the exposure geometry, the antero-posterior geometry is dominant, and the rotational and isotropic geometry should be also considered with the work type. Conclusion: In this study, through expert advice and a survey, the external exposure characteristics for each work type of industrial radiography workers were derived. This information will be used in the reconstruction of organ dose for health effects assessment of Korean radiation workers.

  • Tolerance design has been identified as an important research area and a number of models have been proposed in the literature. This paper investigates the effect of limited capacity on tolerance design for products with nominal-the-best type (N-type) quality characteristics. The model is developed under the assumption that the reprocessed and nonreprocessed items are produced by the same manufacturing process and therefore their quality characteristics are identically and independently distributed. Profit models are constructed which involve four price/cost components; selling price, cost incurred by imperfect quality, reprocessing and quality inspection costs. Methods of finding the optimal tolerance limits are presented, and a numerical example is given. Sensitivity analyses are also performed to study the effect of a process standard deviation on this model.

  • This research deals with multiple Gantry-type assembly machines for the optimization of PCB assembly line. The automated assembly machine has 6 nozzles which can linearly move the X axis and the Y axis different from the turret type assembly machine. Each machine is optimized while considering the whole line balancing of three machines in assembly process simultaneously. Simulation models are developed using AutoMod for comparison study with single machine operation cases under various conditions such as types and total number of components to evaluate the proposed method.

순환전압전류법을 이용한 수중 생물막 측정 전기화학센서 (Electrochemical Sensor for Detecting Underwater Biofilm Using Cyclicvoltammetry)

  • Biofouling causes many problem in industrial processes, medical health industries, water utilities and our daily life. So detecting formation of biofilm on the surface of medical appliance, water pipe and industrial utility is highly important to prevent the problem caused by biofouling. In this study, we suggest an electrochemical sensor for detecting biofilm. We fabricated the electrochemical sensor in MEMS process and cultivated two different kinds of Pseudomonas aeruginosa RpoN type and Wild type on the surface of electrochemical sensor. Each group of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was cultivated according to the hours of 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24. Then we investigated changes in degree of biofilm cultivation using cyclic voltammetry. As a result, it was observed that peak of the cyclic voltammetry curve is increased according as the biofilm growth on the surface of electrochemical sensor. Also we can discern between Pseudomonas aeruginosa RpoN type and Wild type.

플럭스 코어드 와이어에 따른 용접 중 콘택트 팁 내마모성 평가 (Wear Resistance Evaluation of Contact Tip according to Flux Cored Wire)

  • The contact tip for flux cored arc welding has important functions to transmit the welding current to the wire and to guide the wire to molten pool. A damaged contact tip causes a productivity reduction and a welding quality problem. In this study, the welding experiments for the wear resistance of contact tip regarding flux cored wire types were performed. With two fold type and a seamless type flux cored wires, the wear rates of contact tips were compared. In addition, the wear rate was checked according to the contact tip position.

  • In this paper described that study on the distribution and characteristics of axial magnetic field by mathematical analysis and experiment for axial magnetic field type vacuum interrupter that important part on vacuum circuit breaker. And, it was shown that inspected results of arc shape at breaking the current by typical axial magnetic field type model and new axial magnetic field type model.

  • 충북지역은 지역 내 총생산의 이윤부문이 외부로 유출되고 있으므로 기반산업의 육성이 필요한데 이를 위해 주력 제조업은 주 업종으로 석유화학, 반도체 업종을, 부차적인 업종은 자동차 산업으로 하고 이들 업종에 디지털 산업을 결합시켜 고부가가치의 차세대 산업동력으로 발전시켜 나가야 할 것이다. 그리고 충북지역의 지식기반 서비스업인 교육 서비스와 보건복지 및 연구개발 서비스업은 정밀화학, 생물산업의 주 업종과 부차적인 정밀기기 업종의 지원사업으로 이들 기업간의 네트워크를 형성하고 교육기관과 연계하여 지역혁신체제를 구축하여야 할 것이다.

C4.5 알고리즘을 이용한 산업 재해의 특성 분석 (A Feature Analysis of Industrial Accidents Using C4.5 Algorithm)

  • Decision tree algorithm is one of the data mining techniques, which conducts grouping or prediction into several sub-groups from interested groups. This technique can analyze a feature of type on groups and can be used to detect differences in the type of industrial accidents. This paper uses C4.5 algorithm for the feature analysis. The data set consists of 24,887 features through data selection from total data of 25,159 taken from 2 year observation of industrial accidents in Korea For the purpose of this paper, one target value and eight independent variables are detailed by type of industrial accidents. There are 222 total tree nodes and 151 leaf nodes after grouping. This paper Provides an acceptable level of accuracy(%) and error rate(%) in order to measure tree accuracy about created trees. The objective of this paper is to analyze the efficiency of the C4.5 algorithm to classify types of industrial accidents data and thereby identify potential weak points in disaster risk grouping.

'업종-기술' 매칭 테이블을 활용한 IT인력양성용 산학협력 (Educational-Industrial Cooperation for If Manpower Training by Matching Table of 'Type of IT Business - Class of IT Techniques')

  • 본 논문에서는 IT인력양성을 위한 산학협력을 위해 '업종기술' 매칭 테이블을 제안하였다. 업종분류는 ${\ulcorner}$정보통신부문 상품 및 서비스 분류${\lrcorner}$ 체계에 의해 ${\triangle}$정보통신서비스, ${\triangle}$정보통신기기, ${\triangle}$소프트웨어 및 컴퓨터관련서비스로 나누었고, 기술분류는 정보통신연구진흥원(IITA)의 기술코드를 이용하였다. 업종별 필요한 구성 기술을 제시하였고, IT인력양성을 위한 '기업(업종)-기술-대학(학부/학과/전공)'의 파이프 라인(pipe line)이 유지되도록 산학협력 방안을 제시하였다. IT인력양성 산학협력의 예를 제시하기 위해 부산지역의 기업(디지털콘텐츠개발서비스)과 부산지역의 대학(멀티미디어콘텐츠 분야)의 핵심 교육 프로그램을 도출하는 과정을 설명하였다. '업종기술' 매칭 테이블은 업종분류와 기술분류 방식에 따라 가변적일 수 있다. IT인력양성 측면에서 미래 기술 추세와 시장 변화 등에 맞게 산학협력이 되도록 '업종-기술' 매칭 테이블에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

농작업 근로자의 산업재해 특성에 대한 연구(2008년~2012년) (A Study on the Industrial Injury Characteristics in the Agricultural Workers for Five Years(2008~2012))

  • Recently supporting policy of government for agricultural is changing from individual to workplace. For this reason, the number of industrial injury is increasing due to increase workplace in the agriculture. However, because the studies on the characteristics and causes of injury have not been performed, the effective measure for the prevention of industrial injury is difficult to establish. The aim of this study is to analyze the industrial injury characteristic and prepare the effective counterplan to prevent industrial injury of the workplace in the agriculture. This study analyzed 2,970 cases of industrial injury during the last five years (2008-2012) in the agriculture sector. The data was offered by Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency. The results of analysis the industrial injury characteristic of the workplace in the agriculture, number of industrial injury for source of industrial injury was 12.3% in the outdoor floor and injury type was 23.1% in the fall. This study analyzed industrial injury characteristic which size and type of workplace, injury type and source of industrial injury through the case of industrial injury in agriculture. The result of this study will be helpful to identify the industrial injury characteristic in the agriculture and prepares the effective industrial injury prevention method.
