  • This paper investigates the dq current trajectory for maximum torque per ampere(MTPA) operation of an interior PM synchronous motor for HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle). Based on the dq current trajectory for the MTPA operation derived from the motor parameters, the change of the MTPA operating point for the variation of the motor parameters including the magnet flux and the dq inductances is considered. The dq current trajectory for MTPA operation is verified through the experiment.

  • Robust control for DC motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. However, when a motor control system with PID controller has an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. In this paper, PID-Expert hybrid control method for motor control system as a compensation method solving this problem is presented. If PID control system is stable, the Expert controller is idle. if the error hits the boundary of the constraint, the Expert controller begins operation to force the error back to the constraint set. The disturbance effect decrease remarkably, robust speed control of DC motor using PID-Expert Hybrid controller is demonstrated by the simulation.

  • In this paper, a blind spot of motor car, and the put case that is driven the miniature model motor system, when make practical application of the permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSM) braking and having had the ability that can all absorb regenerative power by means of electric brake which is occurred. a tow system of a miniature model motor traction system is established by 1C1M methods to control individually permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) of each motor. vector control method is applied in order to improve ride quality of motor car and the efficient use of energy. it was obtained excellent experiment results from the simulations as a function of momentum load and miniature model. Also, this study is investigated the regenerative braking power securities of permanent magnet synchronous motors, speed detection to stop electric brake at extremely very low speed and motor control method of algorithm.

  • Understanding consumers' latent desires for product form has now become a critical issue in product design. Accordingly, product development processes is rapidly changing from product-oriented development to user-centered development. Driver visibility is considered as an important element of driving posture packaging in automobile interior design. This study presents a systematic process for driver visibility analysis approached from affective engineering method that provides design variable selection and screening with respect to the image/impression element of the human visibility. Also, the analysis of front visibility, often called the feeling of "openness", in motor vehicle interior design, is selected and practiced a case study using the systematic process proposed in this study. Twenty six participants evaluated the feeling of openness for thirty motor vehicles following the perceived scale of affective design factors. The results showed that variables such as the height of head lining, the height of cluster housing, the gradient of windshield and the volume of A-pillar were the critical design variables which affect the feeling of openness in a motor vehicle.

  • Soft magnetic composites (SMCs) are especially suitable for the construction of low-cost, high-performance motors with 3-D magnetic fields. The main advantages of SMCs is that the iron particles are insulated by the surface coating and adhesive used for composite bonding, the eddy-current loss is much lower than that in laminated steels, especially at higher frequencies, and the hysteresis loss becomes the dominant component of core losses. These properties enable machines to operate at higher frequencies, resulting in reduced machine size and weight. In this paper, 3-D topologies are proposed that enable the application of SMCs to effectively reduce losses in high-speed permanent magnet (PM) motors. In addition, the electromagnetic field characteristics of the motor topologies are evaluated and compared using a non-linear finite element method (FEM) based on 3-D numerical analysis, and the feasibility of the motor designs is validated.

  • To satisfy the requirements of a stable speed control, comfortable ride and precise landing in the high-speed elevator. The induction motor driving elevator is controlled by inverter using vector control method which calculates optimum torque to apply to the Induction motor. This paper describes the control system of high-speed elevator that consists of the voltage-type PWM converter with an unity input power factor and sinusoidal input current and the voltage-type PWM inverter with a precise speed control and sinusoidal output current. The test results of actual elevator are presented.

Characteristics of Occupational Injuries in the Automobile Parts Manufacturing Industry

  • Objective: This study aims to understand the occupational injury characteristics of the workers in the motor vehicle parts (automobile parts) manufacturing industry and to present basic guidelines on accident prevention through accident analysis. Background: There occur many occupational injuries in the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry. But there were few researches for the occupational injuries of the workers in the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry. Method: This study analyzed the data of occupational injuries of 1,609 workers in the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry in 2015. The accident characteristics were analyzed by dividing them into worker related factors and accident related factors. Results: Among the occupational injuries of the workers in the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry, 80.6% of the victims were males, 64.0% were older than 40. 57.8% of the victims were employed by the companies with less than 50 workers. In addition, there was a difference in accident characteristics according to age, work experience, employment type, events or exposures, accident time of the day, agents, natures of injuries and illnesses, injured organs and injured body part. Conclusion: It is important to prevent equipment/machinery accidents. For this purpose, more efforts should be made to establish safety measures faithful to the basics of safety devices and safety work procedures. It is also suggested that prevention of disasters should be intensively carried out for workplaces with less than 50 employees and middle-aged and elderly people. Application: The result can be used to present guidelines for preventative measures for the workers in the motor vehicle parts manufacturing industry including safety education/training.
