The Analysis of a Electric Scooter's Performance through Motor and Battery Capacity Changing (모터 및 배터리 용량에 따른 전기스쿠터 성능해석)

  • The climate change due to the increased consumption with fossil fuel and rise of the oil price have been serious global issues. Automobile industry consumes 30% of the oil every year and causes air pollution and global warming by the exhaust emissions and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$). The demand of two-wheeled vehicle increases every year due to the parking and traffic problem caused by the increased automobiles in the urban area. Approximately 50,000,000 two-wheeled vehicles were produced in 2008. The development and sales of the hybrid two-wheeled vehicle industry become active due to its increased market demands. In this paper, the change of the motor and battery efficiency, driving distance, hill climbing ability with the change of the motor capacity was analyzed. Simulation of the peculiarities in urban driving schedule(World-wide Motorcycle Test Cycle(WMTC), Manhattan driving schedule), constant speed(10 km/h, 35 km/h) of small electronic two-wheeled vehicle was also carried out. Through the simulation result, appropriate capacities of the motor and battery for urban driving was acquired.

  • It is difficult to analytically derive a volumetric displacement formula of gerotor hydraulic pump/motor because geometric shape of rotors is complicated. An analytical method about the volumetric displacement is proposed in this work, which is relatively easy and based upon two physical concepts. The first one is energy conservation between hydraulic energy of the pump/motor and mechanical input/output energy. The second concept is torque equilibrium with respect to inner and outer rotors. The formula about the volumetric displacement is derived for the common case of inner and outer rotors rotate with respect to fixed axes. The formula is verified by comparing another analytical displacement formula, and it is numerically verified by comparing numerical results, which is calculated for geometric specification of a motor. The numerical displacement is calculated through CAD software program and MATLAB program. The proposed analytical formula can be utilized in analysis and design of hydraulic gerotor motors.

  • Environment-friendly vehicles using electricity vary, but electrical motor, battery, BMS, inverter, converter, etc., are the core technologies. This research paper deals with the die design and manufacture of the terminal part, one of the key parts of the electrical motor. This research sought to introduce problems such as assembly defect, correction of the R-part shape, correction of the location between holes, etc., in the process of manufacturing the electrical motor terminal die and to produce final products by correcting the problems that were tackled herein.

  • Electric scooter has been using short-lived, low-efficiency DC motor. And motor control system is equipped with imported uniformly, so there is no product differentiation. Also, product design according to the characteristics of disability is difficult. In this study, BLDC motor control system to specialize in a electric scooter for disabled was developed with a semi-permanent features of life, low price, and high performance. This development will also contribute to the activation of the related industries, as well as be able to secure price competitiveness of domestic electric scooter.

Effects of Regular Physical Activities on Young Children's Basic Motor Skills and Daily Stress (규칙적인 신체활동이 유아의 기본운동능력과 일상적 스트레스에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of regular physical activity program on young children's basic motor skills and daily stress. The outdoor physical activity program was conducted with 40 participants who were divided into two groups(experimental group and control group) for 10 weeks twice a week. Results of the study were as following. The outdoor physical activity program improved young children's basic motor skills in the experiment group compared to the control group. Also it had positive effects on the reduction of daily stress in the experimental group compared to the control group. This result suggests that the physical activity program have positive effects on the development of young children's basic motor skills and the reduction of daily stress.

  • Until now, the implementation of servo motor control units which is being applied in various industrial ares such as industrial system, office equipment, home appliance and robotics, used the MCU and DSC(or DSP). However, MCU and DSC have limitations of not being able to maximize control efficiency of the motor and the flexibility. Thus, in this paper, we propose and implemented the designing method for development of servo motor control IP based on FPGA which have a structure to make the best motor control efficiency and flexibility of control,

  • A method of speed sensorless vector control of induction motor is proposed in this paper. This method uses the slip frequency estimated by only the primary voltage and current. As this slip frequency accords with the command value of it, the commanded primary frequency is controlled. The validity of the method is confirmed by the simulation and experimental results.

  • This paper presents a robust speed control method of induction motors(IM) using a Non-linear PI controller(NPI). NPI is high gain controller in region of small error, and low gain controller in region of large error. So in steady state, system will be robust against variation of load torque. The simulation and experiment results confirm the validity of proposed control scheme.

  • This study investigates the characteristic analysis of Line-start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor considering skew effect. The effects of the skew on machine characteristic are analyzed by using direct co-simulation of Matlab Simulink and Flux2D. Validity of analysis method is confirmed by the analysis result of Non-skew Model.
