  • The switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive system provides a good adjustable speed and torque characteristics. SRM has the possibility of maintaining full power over a wide speed range. So, many attempts are being done from home appliances to industrial machinery and tools. Especially, a traction drive of an SRM is one of a good application for it's DC-series characteristic. However, because of the switching mechanism, it has some disadvantage of noise and vibration. It is difficult to adopt to an appliance demanding silency. A noise simulation of 6/4 and 12/8 SRM was done in order to compare each other, and the design was done carefully.

  • Electric control of eddy coupling offers many new possibilities in process control and other industrial control applications. And a form of speed control for the load is affected for a system driven by costant frequency induction motor. This paper compare speed-torque characteristic of three types of eddy-current coupling by using the analytical method. And characteristic experiment of three types of eddy current coupling is put into operation. And then, this paper will discuss operational and magnetic field characteristic of three types model.

  • Load models for the analysis and simulation of power system are often introduced when the more accurate result is required. This work presents a single expressed load model as T-equivalent circuit of induction motor, for the composite characteristics of various loads. The parameters of the proposed load model are identified based on the system identification method as Recursive Least Square identification method. Case study results show the accuracy of proposed load model, and compared with some field measurements.

  • The influence of porosity (P) on Young's modulus (E) and Poisson's ratio $(\upsilon)$ of sintered steels produced from four types of steel powders was investigated. The values of E and $(\upsilon)$ depend mainly on the value of P, and those were a little affected by alloying elements. The relationships between E, $(\upsilon)$, and P were described as following equations: $E\;=\;E_0{\cdot}(1\;-\;k_E{\cdot}P)^2$ and $\upsilon\;=\;({\upsilon}_0\;-\;\upsilon_{sub}){\cdot}(1\;-\;k_{\upsilon}{\cdot}P)2+\upsilon_{sub}$, where subscript 0 means P = 0, and $k_E,\;k_{\upsilon}$ and ${\upsilon}_{sub}$ are empirical constants. These approximate equations showed good agreement with empirical results.

  • When the vector control, which does not need a speed signal from a mechanical speed sensor, it is possible to reduce the cost of the control equipment and to improve the control performance in many industrial application. In this paper, describes a rotor speed estimate method of induction motor based on the theory of counter EMF MRAS. This method eliminated the pure integrator. and we can be expected to rapid responsibility of the speed Identification. Therefore, we improve the initial condition of the integrator and drift problem. The stability of speed estimator is proved on the basis of hyperstability theory. In order to confirm the performance of the proposed system. Simulation and experiment is performed.

  • The low cost, ruggedness, and reliability of switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive makes them potentially suitable for many industrial applications. But the generation of a high-level torque ripple and the acoustic noise restricts the practical application range. This paper analyzes the torque characteristic of SRM according to rotor pole arc and the effect of turn-on and turn-off angles to reduce the torque ripple. The simulation result shows the different torque characteristic of each cases.

  • SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) uses reluctance torque by pulse excitation control. SRM drives are much studied in electrical vehicles and industrial application due to the simple, robust mechanical structure and high speed characteristics. For the high performance control of SRM, it is necessary to synchronize the stator phase excitation with the rotor position. This paper proposes a new encoder for high performance excitation control of SRM. The proposed encoder has complex structures of incremental and absolute encoder. An each phase inductance profile can be synchronized with 4-bit absolute position signal and incremental pulses are used for speed detection. Low cost and simple manufacturing of SRM encoder is possible.

  • To be satisfied with complex load condition of electric vehicle, fuzzy logic control (FLC) is applied to improve speed response and system robust performance of induction traction machine based on indirect rotor field orientation control. The proposed propulsion system consists of two induction motors (IM) that ensure the drive of the two back driving wheels of lightweight electric vehicle by means the vehicle used for passenger transportation. The electronic differential system ensures the robust control of the vehicle behavior on the road. It also allows controlling, independently, every driving wheel to turn at different speeds in any curve. Our electric vehicle fuzzy inference system control's simulated in Matlab SIMULINK environment, the results obtained present the efficiency and the robustness of the proposed control with good performances compared with the traditional PI speed control, the FLC induction traction machine presents not only good steady characteristic, but with no overshoot too.

  • The calculation of depth and duration of a sag is in both methods based on two simple assumptions. One is that due to the short circuit, the voltage drops to a low value immediately magnitude. Another is that when the fault is cleared. the voltage recovers immediately. These assumptions, however, do not hold in the case of a substantial part of the load consisting of electrical motors like in many industrial power systems. During the short circuit, the motors will slow down. Their reacceleration after the fault will increase the load current and thus prolong the voltage sag. This paper will discuss some of the aspects of the influence of induction motors on voltage sags.

  • In this paper new, inverter control system for TG feedback a formula Control was developed. The motor control system with TG feedback controller as an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. The function of the implementation are TG feedback type, and temperature scheme. The Inverter Control System approach is based on master-slave control concept. To show validity of the developed new inverter control system, severial experiments are illustrated.
