In recent years, small and medium-sized businesses are rapidly changing to an industrial structure where process/quality/energy data aggregates can be automatically or real-time to achieve global competitiveness. In particular, real-time information analysis produced in the production process of small businesses is evolving into a new process process that analyzes, predicts, prescribes and implements significant performance of small businesses. In this paper, we propose a platform-building model that can transform the automated production information system of small businesses into big data so that they can upgrade data that is generated by small businesses. The proposed model has the capability to support operational efficiency (consulting and training) and strategic decision making of small businesses by utilizing a variety of data on the basic information of products produced by small businesses for data collection by smart SMEs. In addition, the proposed model is characterized by close cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses with different regional characteristics and areas of information sharing and system linkage.
In recent years, the development of defense technology has become digital with the introduction of advanced assets such as drones equipped with artificial intelligence. These assets are integrated with modern information technologies such as industrial IoT, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing to promote innovation in the defense domain. However, the convergence of the technology is increasing the possibility of transfer of cyber threats, which is emerging as a problem of increasing the vulnerability of defense assets. While the current cybersecurity methodologies focus on the vulnerability of a single asset, interworking of various military assets is necessary to perform the mission. Therefore, this paper recognizes these problems and presents a mission-based asset management and evaluation methodology. It aims to strengthen cyber security in the defense sector by identifying assets that are important for mission execution and analyzing vulnerabilities in terms of cyber security. In this paper, we propose a method of classifying mission dependencies through linkage analysis between functions and assets to perform a mission, and identifying and classifying assets that affect the mission. In addition, a case study of identifying key assets was conducted through an attack scenario.
The purpose of this research is to provide basic materials in developing an efficient career guidance method of Vocational High Schools on the basis of analyzing awareness differences in students, teachers and between students and teachers as well as awareness differences according to a position of teachers in terms of the actual condition of career guidance and improvements with the target of students and teachers at Vocational High Schools. The survey was carried out by targeting students and teachers at Vocational High Schools in the Seoul Metropolis. The results of this research are as follows. First, it appeared that the awareness of students on the career guidance level of Vocational High Schools is insufficient, and students answered that employment guidance is more insufficient compared to educational guidance. In addition, the awareness of students on the career guidance conditions appeared to be generally insufficient. Second, in case of awareness of teachers on the career guidance conditions of Vocational High Schools, teachers answered that arrangement of teachers in full charge of career guidance, career counselling room, securing and utilization of latest career information and information search systems capable of using the internet for career guidance are sufficient, whereas they answered that time for career guidance, operating budget of a career counselling room and linkage with external institutions are insufficient. Third, they answered that career guidance conditions are generally sufficient in the order of a principal, vice-principal and teachers. The principal is cognizing that career guidance conditions are sufficient all question items, and the vice-principal answered that career guidance conditions are insufficient in only operating budget of a career counselling room and linkage with external institutions. Teachers answered that career guidance conditions are insufficient in only time for career guidance, operating budget of a career counselling room and linkage with external institutions. In addition, compared to teachers, the principal was cognizing that career guidance conditions are sufficient except operating budget of the career counselling room through analysis of awareness difference among principle, vice-principle and teachers. Fourth, students answered that career guidance conditions are insufficient in all question items, but teachers cognized that career guidance conditions are sufficient in all question items excluding time for career guidance. Among them, what showed a difference of the biggest awareness was analyzed as information search systems capable of using the Internet.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the ripple effect of the Chinese education industry on the national economy by using the industry-related table of 2017 by the China Statistical Office to use it as policy data for revitalization of the Chinese education industry in the future. To achieve this purpose, 149 industries in the basic classification of the industry-related table were classified into 32 industries. Based on these classifications, by analyzing the production induction coefficient, sensitivity coefficient, influence coefficient, yield inducement coefficient, production tax induction coefficient, and labor induction coefficient, etc. The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between different industries and to find out the economic impact of the Chinese education industry. The analysis results show that in 2017, the total production induction coefficient of China's education industry was 1.7188, the row total was 1.0626, the sensitivity coefficient was 0.01211, the influence coefficient was 0.01958, the income induction coefficient was 0.6667, the production tax induction coefficient was 0.035, and the final demand was 1 billion yuan. When this occurs, the labor induction coefficient shows a total of 31,254 persons (indirect 15,541 persons, direct 15,713 persons). Based on the analysis results, this study suggested the implications that government support, technology introduction and application of new operating models, policy regulations, and efficient supervision of the system and president are required for further development of the Chinese education industry.
This paper tries to study the ecosystem after constructing the network of the continuing transactions associated with distribution industry with the data of more than 50 thousands firms provided by the Korean enterprise data (KED) for 2015. After applying the clustering method, one of social network analysis tools, we find the firms in the network grouped into 732 clusters occupying about 80% of whole distribution industry sales in KED data. The firms in a cluster have most of their transactions with other firms in the cluster. But the clusters have smaller firm numbers in the cluster and sales portion of the biggest firms in the industry than the case of the manufacturing industry. The Input-output analysis for the biggest distribution firms show that the small and medium size enterprise(SME)s have very high sale dependency on a main firm in some clusters. This fact implies more efficient fair transaction policies within the clusters. And small number of big distribution firms have very high rear production linkage effects on SMEs or on the 10th or 31th group with high portion of SME employment. They should be considered important in the SME growth and employment policies.

Given the ongoing debate in many aspects of finance, more attention may need to focus on corporate R&D expenditures. This study empirically tests financial determinants of R&D expenditures for NYSE-listed and KOSPI-listed firms. Three major hypotheses were postulated to test for corporate R&D outlay. First, proposed variables such as one-year lagged R&D expenditures, market value based leverage, profitability and cash holdings showed significant influence on corporate R&D costs for the sample firms. Moreover, financial factors inclusive of squared one-year lagged R&D expenditures, the interaction effect between one-lagged R&D expenditures and high-growth firm, non-debt tax shield, Tobin's q and a dummy variable to explain differences in accounting treatment between the U.S. and Korea, revealed significant differences between the two samples. Finally, in the conditional quantile regression (CQR) analysis for the R&D-related variables in relation to corporate growth rate, it was found that the NYSE-listed firms had a statistically significant linkage between growth potential and one-year lagged R&D expenditures at lower quantile levels. This study may shed new light on identifying financial factors affecting differences between the U.S. market (as an advanced market) and the Korean market (as an emerging market) regarding the optimal level of R&D investments for shareholders.

ccording to the airport railroad linkage facility expansion project constructing a connecting line to the airport railway and improving the signal system and Gyeongui Susaek Station, a high-speed train is able to run directly from Gyeongbu and Honam to the airport railway. According to mixed operation of high-speed Korea Train Express (KTX) and Airport Railroad Express (AREX) trains, to establish ERTMS/ETCS L1 ATP to operate the KTX train, the signaling system of the AREX train is the same as the existing ATC/ATO, but its operation became impossible because the high-speed train causes mutual interference between the "high-speed train (KTX) and AREX ground signaling equipment" and between the "AREX train and KTX (high-speed train) ATP ground equipment." Thus, it was necessary to have a supplemental technical interference analysis comparing the characteristics of the AREX beacon and the KTX balise. So, we resolve the problems of mutual interference between the "high-speed train (KTX) and AREX ground signaling equipment" and between the "AREX train and KTX (high-speed train) ATP ground equipment" with a test using an actual train, and we confirm the technical validity with three types of test module.

Various security threats, such as North Korea's nuclear tests and intercontinental ballistic missile developments, are becoming issues. Considering the current security situation in South Korea, proper selection of weapons and efficient defense acquisition systems are essential. In this paper, we conduct a survey and analysis of the defense core technology necessary for the development of weapons systems, and review whether current defense research and development is carried out efficiently. A theoretical study was conducted on ways to enhance the linkage between defense core technology and weapons systems development. As a result of the study, the necessity for development of weapons systems and the linking of defense core technology planning with the need for institutional improvement in enhanced utilization of defense core technology were derived. We propose a method for a long-term weapons systems concept plan that integrates defense core technology planning with forces planning and pre-project research programs to improve planning efficiency.

Thailand had issued a national strategic development master plan with issues related to water resources and water security in the entire water management. Water resources are an important factor of living and development of the country's socio-economy to be stable, prosperous and sustainable. Therefore, water management in both multidimensional and multi-sectoral systems is important and will supports socio-economic and environmental development. The direction of national development in accordance with the national strategic framework for 20 years that requires the country to level up security level in terms of water, energy and food. To response to the proposed goals, there is a subplan to increase water productivity of the entire water system for economical development use by evaluating use value and to create more value added from water use to meet international standard level. This study aims to evaluate the water productivity of Thailand in each basin and all sectors such as agricultural sector, service and industrial sectors by using the water use data from water account analysis and GDP data from NESDB during the past 10 years (1996-2015). The comparison of water productivity with other countries will also be conducted and in addition, the measures to improve water productivity in next 20 years will be explored to response to the National Strategic Master Plan goals. Water productivity is defined as output per unit of water depleted. The simplest way to compare water productivity across different enterprises is in monetary terms. World Bank presents water productivity as an indication of the efficiency by which each country uses its water resources. There are two data sets used for water productivity analyses, i.e., the first is water use data at end users and the second is Gross Domestic Product. The water use at end users are estimated by water account method based on the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting for Water (SEEA-Water) concept of United Nations. The water account shows the analyses of the water balance between the use and supply of each water resource in physical terms. The water supply and use linkage in the water account analyses separated into each phases, i.e., water sources, water managers, water service providers, water user at end user under water regulators of all kinds of water use activities such as household, industrial, agricultural, tourism, hydropower, and ecological conservation uses. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP), a well- known measuring method of the national economic growth is not actually a comprehensive approach to describe all aspects of national economic status, since GDP does not take into account the costs of the negative impacts to natural resources that result from the overexploitation of development projects, however, at present, integrating the environment with the economy of a country to measure its economic growth with GDP is acceptable worldwide. The study results will show the water use at each basin, use types at end users, water productivity in each sector from 1996-2015 compared with other countries, Besides the productivity improvement measures will be explored and proposed for the National Strategic Master Plan.
