Background: Supplier induced demand (SID) indicates the case when doctors increase the demand of the patients, following their (physicians') own best interests rather than patients'. This may occur when asymmetry of information exists between suppliers and consumers. This study aims to confirm whether SID exists in the Korean setting, particularly by dividing SID into both 'induced demand effect' and 'availability effect.' Methods: Induced demand effect and availability effect are differentiated following Carlsen & Grytten's theoretical frame which divides doctor density regions into high and low ones. Results: Positive correlation between doctors' density and utilization of their services was found, which could be interpreted as 'availability effect.' Conclusion: The result suggests that additional medical use for additional doctor, particularly in the area of low doctor density, can be interpreted to occur to meet the basic medical need of the people rather than as a result of unnecessary induced demand. It is important to make more medical doctors provided and to distribute them appropriately across the region in such a country like Korea where doctor's density is relatively low.

본 연구에서는 철도 투자에 따른 투자이후 수요변화를 계량화하기 위한 조사방법론을 검토하도록 한다. 특히, 유발수요는 전환수요에 비해 조사 및 계량화 방안에 대한 연구가 미흡하므로 유발수요를 중심으로 조사 및 계량화방법들을 검토하여 제시하도록 한다. 이러한 연구 결과는 국내에 철도에 대한 투자이후 단계에서 수요변화를 추정하는 연구가 미흡한 실정이므로 향후 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.

KTX Introduced in korea have occurred enhanced services and reduced regional travel time. "Induced traffic" is defined in the traffic demand generated in new project. 'Induced traffic' compared to the Diversion Demand Survey and research on ways to quantify the situation, insufficient analysis of constant and long-term observations are needed to estimate the changes in demand. In this study, Induced traffic effects due to the opening of KTX for analysis survey to passengers by Railway and the scale factor induced traffic review.

Printing technology is a very useful method in the several process of industrial fabrication due to noncontact and fast pattern generation. To make micro pattern, we investigate the electrostatic induced inkjet printer head for micro droplet generation and drop-on-demand jetting. In order to achieve the drop-on-demand micro droplet ejection by the electrostatic induced inkjet printer head, the pulsed DC voltage is supplied. In order to find optimal pulse conditions, we tested jetting performance for various bias and pulse voltages for drop-on-demand ejection. In this result, we have successful drop-on-demand operation and micro patterning. Therefore, our novel electrostatic induced inkjet head printing system will be applied industrial area comparing conventional printing technology.

도로개선사업의 타당성 분석을 위해 장래 수요추정은 필수적이며, 이는 사업 여부를 결정하는데 있어서 핵심적 사안이 되지만 현재 장래 수요추정에 적용되는 4단계 수요예측모형은 장래 고정된 기종점통행량을 이용하여 경로 전환된 통행량에 대해서만 분석할 뿐, 교통시스템의 향상으로 인해 추가로 발생되는 수요(유발통행수요-Induced Highway Travel Demand 또는 잠재수요-Latent Demand)는 충분히 고려되지 않고 있어 정확성에 대한 의심의 여지가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 교통수요가 결정되는 원리와 유사한 경제학 이론을 적용한 유발통행수요 추정모형과 광범위한 분석에 적용할 수 있는 유발통행수요 추정프로그램(I.D.A)을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 구축된 모형을 통해 서울시 강변북로 일부구간의 도로개선에 따른 유발통행수요를 추정한 결과. 추정된 유발통행수요는 경로전환수요의 15% 정도인 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 유발통행수요가 존재할 것으로 확신되는 사업에 대한 유발통행수요를 계량적으로 추정하여 도로개선의 타당성분석결과에 대한 신뢰성을 보다 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

철도시설 투자를 위한 경제성 평가에서 수요가 차지하는 비중이 상당히 높음에도 불구하고 기존의 철도투자 평가에 반영되는 수요는 철도 투자이후에 발생되는 유발수요에 대한 고려가 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 이러한 수요를 반영할 수 있는 기초연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 철도 투자에 따른 투자이후 전환수요(diverted) 및 유발수요(induced demand)를 계량화하기 위한 조사방법론을 검토하도록 한다. 특히, 유발수요는 전환수요에 비해 조사 및 계량화 방안에 대한 연구가 미흡하므로 유발수요를 중심으로 조사 및 계량화 방법들을 외국의 사례와 국내사례를 비교 검토하여 제시하도록 한다. 이러한 연구 결과는 국내에 철도에 대한 전환수요 및 유발수요에 대한 연구가 미흡한 실정이므로 향후 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.

This paper presents the DOD (Drop-On-Demand) characteristic using the electrostatic field induced inkjet printing system. In order to achieve the DOD characteristic of electrostatic field induced inkjet printing, applied the bias voltage of 1.4 kV and the pulse voltage of $2.0\;kV\;{\sim}\;2.7\;kV$ using high voltage pulse generator. Electrostatic field induced droplet ejection is directly observed using a high-speed camera and for investigated DOD characteristic, CNT ink used. The electrostatic field induced inkjet head system has DOD characteristic using pulse generator which can be applied pulse voltage. The bias voltage has a good condition which form meniscus and has micro dripping mode for small size micro droplet. Also, the droplet size decreases with increasing the applied pulse voltage. This paper shows DOD characteristic at electrostatic field induced inkjet head system, Therefore. electrostatic DOD inkjet head system will be applied industrial area comparing conventional electrostatic inkjet head system.

Objectives: The current study presents a new conceptual framework for physician-induced demand that comprises several influential components and their interactions. Methods: This framework was developed on the basis of the conceptual model proposed by Labelle. To identify the components that influenced induced demand and their interactions, a scoping review was conducted (from January 1980 to January 2017). Additionally, an expert panel was formed to formulate and expand the framework. Results: The developed framework comprises 2 main sets of components. First, the supply side includes 9 components: physicians' incentive for pecuniary profit or meeting their target income, physicians' current income, the physician/population ratio, service price (tariff), payment method, consultation time, type of employment of physicians, observable characteristics of the physician, and type and size of the hospital. Second, the demand side includes 3 components: patients' observable characteristics, patients' non-clinical characteristics, and insurance coverage. Conclusions: A conceptual framework that can clearly describe interactions between the components that influence induced demand is a critical step in providing a scientific basis for understanding physicians' behavior, particularly in the field of health economics.

The Korean government pushed ahead various policies to disseminate photovoltaic (PV), wind power, small hydro, bio-fuel, etc. Renewable energy system (RES) budget of the Korean government increased from 118 billion won of 2003 to 876.6 billion won of 2010. The R&D budgetary supports for RES increased by 6.8 times in the period 2003-2010. It is necessary to confirm RES budget expenditure that renewable energy promotion policy makes good performance evaluated in quantity level. This paper made Input-Output Table 2009 contains photovoltaic power generation equipment industry as a dependent sector and analyzed induced production effect by demand of photovoltaic power generation equipment industry. From the empirical analysis result, additional demand in photovoltaic power generation equipment induced 1.932 times of induced production in Korea. Each of industry sector has positive induced production from the additional demand in photovoltaic power generation equipment. Renewable energy promotion in photovoltaic power generation is considered together with industry policy as the option to sustain economic growth.
