When age-role i-: being confused and fasion is as whimsical as these days, the norm on the length of the skirt can be a matter of controversy. This study aimed to see if there exists decisive norm on skirt lengths according to the age of feminine stimuli and the sex and age of perceiver. It also aimed to find out whether the norm of the individual perceiver is influenced by the assumed norm of generalized others. Questionnaire including linedrawings of feminine lower body was given out to be marked with age-proper length of skirt. Results revealed existence of certain length norms according to the age of the stimuli. Norms also varied according to the age of the perceiver and interaction effects among the age, sex of the perceiver and the age of the stimuli existed. Assumed norms of the generalized others were different from the actual norms of the individual. Interaction between the ages of the stimuli and perceiver affected the difference between the actural individual norm and the assumed norm of the generalized others.
For the purpose of breeding a high-yield superior variety of Korean raisin tree (Hovenia dulcis var. koreana Nakai), whose value as an edible and medicinal resource is increasing, tree candidates for superior individuals were selected from its 11 habitats in Korea from 1996 to 1998. A clone bank preserve was created in 1998 with 70 clones proliferated by grafting; the fruition traits (e.g., the number of fructified laterals, the average number of bunches per fructified lateral, the average number of bunches per fruiting lateral, the fruitpetiole weight per individual, and the yield per individual) of 47 clones that had bloomed and borne fruit were investigated and analyzed in 2002; five upper-ranking clones whose yield per individual exhibited a 261% improvement against the total average were picked in 2005; and three clones, including 'Poong-Sung 1', that showed a difference in their fruit petiole ripening stage, were finally selected in 2007 as high-yield new cultivars of Korean raisin tree.
These studies were preformed to investigate the freezing conditions to achieve good post-thaw viability of spend and the practical methods of artificial insemination frozen canine semen. Semen were collected from nine male dogs which had been proved to be fertile in the past and the semen were treated for freezing procedure. Post-thaw motility and viability of canine sperm were evaluated to investigate individual tolerance of freezing, difference among freezing extenders, dif-ference among freezing equipments and freezing conditions, difference between fast and slow cooling rate, difference according to different glycerol concentration, effect of seeding on post-thaw viability, difference according to cutting part of straw, difference according to thawing temperatures, and dif-ference according to media added to thawed semen. Thawed semen for insemination were added with equal volnme of canine capacitation medium (CCM) and the volume of semen and the number per insemination were adjusted as 2-3 ml and $20-30 {\times}10^7,$ respectively. The semen were inseminated in vagina using balloon catheter and en17ryos were cellected from 9 to 11 days after the second Al to d determine fertilization.
The Occurrence of cadastral land having difference between registered lists and realities result in not only enormous trobles on land administration of the nation but also violation of individual property rights. Government has inclined many efforts to solve this problems, it is actuality that results are not reaching in expectation. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to prevent problems beforehand and manage lands efficiently by analyzing typical realities and extracting the area of cadastral having difference between registered lists and realities.
Now in Korea, the 7th curriculum reform is underway. The main difference of the seventh curriculum compared with former curricula is that it puts much emphasis on individual difference. It is a "differentiated" curriculum. The basic directions of the 7th mathematics curriculum are as follows: 1. Offer various mathematical subjects for "Selective Educational Period" (Grades 11 and 12). 2. 30% reduction of mathematical contents. 3. The reconciliation of domain names of school mathematics. 4. The use of computers and calculators in mathematics classrooms.
This study has two research objectives related to end-user computing (EUC). One of the research objectives was to investigate the current status of EUC of Korean firms. Another research objective was to examine the relationship between individual differences of end-users and EUC success. Using survey data from 752 end-users of 23 firms, the surrent status of EUC and the relationship between individual differences of end-users and EUC success were investigated. The current status of EUC was examined from six perspectives: 1). what is the characteristics of EUC strategy of Korean firms, 2). what are the individual characteristics of end-users in Korean Firms, #0. what are the characteristics of tasks performed by end-users using computer, 4). what are the application a areas of EUC, 5). How end-users are satisfied with the support of firms, 6). what are system usage and satisfaction of end-users. It was also foud that individual differences of end-users are related to EUC success. More specifically, it wat shown that the male gender, younger age, higher level of education, higher rank and organizational tenure, higher math ability, thinking type of cognitive style, positive and optimistic attitudes toward computer, more experience with computer, more computer education and knowledge are individual differences variables associated with EUC success. The results of stepwise regression analysis suggested that the individual difference variables accounted for 14%, 25%, 39% and 30% of the variances of four EUC success variables, satisfaction for outcome, satisfaction for ability, frequency of computer use, and the number of tasks, respectively. These empirical findings suggest that EUC managers should consider individual differences of end-users in managing EUC, such as education, training, support, and human resource management, to maximize potential benefits of EUC.
The aim of the present study was to measure intra-individual consistency in clothing style evaluation and to examine its relation to the ratings. For this study, a pilot test was conducted to 50 clothing majored university students to explore the stimulus of‘cute’,‘casual’,‘sexy’,‘elegant’,‘intelligent’,‘formal’,‘romantic’,‘individual’,‘refined’for the 9 each image styles from the 32 spring wears in fashion magazine$\boxDr$FARBE$\boxUl$(March, 2000). On the basis of the preliminary survey, the question items explored the 15 pairs of bipolar adjectives as seven-point Likert type. The main survey was preceded 94 female and 111 men of university students from March 13 to 24 in 2000, twice for 7-days interval. As a result of analyzing of correlation coefficients between the two ratings for each subjects, intra-individual consistency in the evaluation, ranged from -.11 to .87 and mean coefficient was .64 of female and .20 to .76 and mean coefficient was .57 of male. Female had higher intra-individual consistency in the evaluation than male. Based on the coefficients, the subjects were classified into three groups: high, medium, and low intra-individual consistency. Analysis of variance of mean ratings by the three groups revealed that significant difference existed in 42% of female and 25% of male in 135 combinations of 9 clothing and 15 semantic differential scales. There was an apparent tendency that subjects of female with high intra-individual consistency were mostly definitely to evaluate clothing, whereas the ones with low were least. But male shows opposit trend compare to each groups of female. The result of this study, it was found that female rated higher intra-individual consistency and definition in the two times evaluations than male and among the semantic differential scales'consistency differ depending on style and gender. It is believed that the result of this study is helpful clothing image evaluation, and clothing image selection tendency.
The aim of the present study was to measure intra-individual consistency in clothing and fabric evaluation and to examine its relation to the ratings. A sample of 93 female and 97 male university students rated clothing of 4 styles of daytime wear and 2 fabrics on 15 pairs of polar adjectives twice in 7-days interval. Correlation coefficients between the two ratings for each subject, intra-individual consistency in the evaluation, ranged from -0.12 to 0.89 and mean coefficient was 0.63 of female and -0.01 to 0.78 and mean coefficient was 0.54 of male. Based on the coefficients, the subjects were classified into three groups: high, medium, and low intra-individual consistency. Analysis of variance of mean ratings by the three groups revealed that significant difference existed in 24% of female and 23% of male in 90 combinations of 6 clothing and 15 semantic differential scales. Female of subjects with high intra-individual consistency were most likely definite to evaluate clothing, whereas the ones with low were least. But male subjects were not definite. Mean correlation coefficients for style evaluation subscales of female was 0.39, but male was 0.44. Among the semantic differential scales, high stability in the two ratings was observed for the synthetic clothing evaluation. Correlation coefficients for each clothing obtained from the mean score of the subjects in each semantics differential scale were around 0.98, including that the mean scores of the subjects in each scale could yield excellent stability in clothing evaluation.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of joint kinetics and coordination on within-individual differences in maximum vertical jump. 10 male subjects aged 20 to 30 performed six trials in maximum vertical jump and with based on jump height the good(GP) and bad(BP) performances for each subject were compared on joint kinetics of lower extremity and coordination parameters such as joint reverse and relative phase. The results showed that maximum moment, power, and work done of hip joint and maximum moment of ankle joint in GP were significantly higher than that in the BP but no significant differences for the knee joint. We could observe a significant difference in joint reverse timing between both conditions. And also the relative phase on ankle-knee and ankle-hip in GP were significantly lower than that in the BP, which means that in GP joint movements were more in-phase synchronized mode. In conclusion, mechanical outputs of hip and ankle joints had an effect on within-individual differences in vertical jump and the inter-joint coordination and coordination including sequence and timing of joint motion also might be high influential factors on the performances within individual.
Ever increasing dependence of organization on information technology stimulates interactions between individuals and groups in the process of knowledge creation, which overall impies that a reciprocal mechanism lies within the structure of the growth of group intelligence. Individual's intelligence may affect the group intelligence, and vise versa. However, the level of group intelligence is not necessarily determined by the sum of individual's intelligence but the quality of the interactions among the individuals. This study thus aims to conceptually identify the dynamic structure of interactions among the factors influencing the group intelligence level, which is believed to be used as a tool to measure the difference of intelligence between groups. To achieve this goal several attempts were made. First, determinants of intelligence at indiviual level and group level and similarities and differences between individual's and group intelligence were identified from the previous research. Second, causal loop diagrams were developed, which show how individual's intelligence influences group intelligence and vise versa. Third, it was attempted to identify and interpret which feedback loops are most influential in either improving or hapering group intelligence as a whole. Since this study remains only at exploratory level, a more detailed and workable model for field applications has to be developed in the future.
