A Design Criteria for Pond Management at Golf Course in Terms of Satisfaction (골프장 연못의 관리만족도를 위한 설계기준)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to search for appropriate design elements to manage ponds on golf courses. This paper showed that a variable, width, and volume have significant influence on satisfaction(Sig 0.001). This research investgated golf courses in Kyung-ki province. In short, we measured the physical design elements of ponds to bring out major factors which could determine satisfaction of golf courses for golfcourse manager(greenkeeper). The results between satisfaction and physical variable came out as follows; 1, Golfcourse managers(Green keepers) responded to questions that they were satisfied in only 29.9% of the ponds. We found that they considered management very highly. we could evaluated the value of necessity and importance are high, that is importance to manage ponds 2. Some physical design elements(volume, width) increased dependent variable(satisfaction) and others(length, area, circumference, index of shape) decreased dependent variable(satisfaction) 3. Volume has an influence on dependent variable more than depth on index of shape. 4 If the result of \`index of shape\` decreased, the result of \`management satisfaction\` would be high, and when volume is 8500ton∼17000ton, depth is 27m∼3.1m, \`management satisfaction\` would be high. The research findings can be used for planning and designing of golfcourses for designers, and by management for greenkeepers, and will provide pertinent design elements far design of golfcourses. We suggest that the interrelation between ponds and strategic play must be examined in future research.

  • The purpose of this study is to consider how the competency of management consultants and completion index of consulting. influences the management performance. For this research. we chose 500 small & medium enterprises located all over the country that have implemented management consulting in recent 3 years. And we have done survey for the employees. and gathered and analyzed 294 samples. The result of research is as follows. First, Job competency of management consultants have reliable influence on the business performance and organization effectiveness. Second, Job competency and Common competency of management consultants have reliable influences on the completion index of consulting. Third, Job competency of management consultants and completion index of consulting have reliable influences on management performance. Fourth, Completion index of consulting have mediated job competency of consultants and management performance. Fifth, the impact was estimated that the more manager supporting is, the more job competency of consultant have an effect on organization effectiveness. These findings suggest that through the efficient way to perform successful consulting and identify an association between factors, it can contribute to small & medium enterprise management consulting activated.

Distributed Moving Objects Management System for a Smart Black Box

  • In this paper, we design and implement a distributed, moving objects management system for processing locations and sensor data from smart black boxes. The proposed system is designed and implemented based on Apache Kafka, Apache Spark & Spark Streaming, Hbase, HDFS. Apache Kafka is used to collect the data from smart black boxes and queries from users. Received location data from smart black boxes and queries from users becomes input of Apache Spark Streaming. Apache Spark Streaming preprocesses the input data for indexing. Recent location data and indexes are stored in-memory managed by Apache Spark. Old data and indexes are flushed into HBase later. We perform experiments to show the throughput of the index manager. Finally, we describe the implementation detail in Scala function level.

  • Process Capability Indexes(PCI) are used as the measure for evaluation of process capability analysis and is the statistical method for efficient process control. The fourth generation $PCI(C_{psk})$ is constructed from $C_{pmk}$ by introducing the factor $\mid\mu-T\mid$ in the numerator as an extra penalty for the departure of the process mean from the preassigned target value T And Process Incapability Indexes(PII) are presented by inversing PCI and include the information of PCI. This paper introduces the PII $C_{ss}^*$ provide manager with various information of process and include Gage R&R. PII $C_{ss}^*$ is presented by inversing PCI $C_{psk}$ and include the information of PCI $C_{psk}$.

A Study on Measuring the Labor Intensity of Menus according to Various Cooking Types (조리유형별 메뉴의 노동강도 측정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the labor intensity of menus according to various cooking types. Through a literature review and in-depth interview, the attributes that affected the labor intensity were identified as the level of skill, amount of effort, degree of tiredness, time consumed, and machine usage. A survey was conducted in April, 2001 among cooks who Dew the entire process of cooking. There was a strong positive correlation between labor intensity and labor intensity attributes. Through regression analysis, a regression equation was obtained between labor intensity and labor intensity attributes. The labor intensity index calculated from this study showed the extent of labor intensity of menus. The result of this study could be used as basic data for foodservice manager to establish a menu planning and work schedule based on a scientific method.

  • Nowadays, the amount of image data increase explosively. To manage the large amount of image data efficiently, high-dimensional index structures are necessary. However, as my knowledge none of existing DBMSs supports high-dimensional index structures as access methods of DBMSs. In this paper, we design and implement CIR-Tree as a access method for retrieving image data effectively on the MiDAS-III that is the storage subsystem of the BADA-III. The implemented CIR-Tree manager shows much better retrieval performance than sequential search in performance evaluation.

Automated Reviewers Recommendation on Online Submission System in Journal Publishing (국내외 학술지 투고관리시스템의 심사위원 추천 기능 분석)

  • Finding and selecting proper reviewers is a burden on the publisher of the journal. In order to solve this problem, the online submission system started to recommend appropriate reviewers automatically. It includes a variety of new features, from recommending authors in the references of submitted papers as reviewers to finding similar papers by searching the citation index and suggesting reviewer candidates extensively. This study investigated how the online submission system provides functions such as recommendation of reviewers. As a result of examining major online submission systems, ScholarOne and Editorial Manager were recommending reviewer candidates by commercial citation index and review history platform. On the other hand, JAMS, a domestic online submission system, did not have any advanced functions such as recommendation of candidates for reviewers. Sooner or later, in Korea, it seems that more efforts should be made to improve the function of online submission system, such as recommending suitable reviewers for papers.

  • Among various methods to build the construction safety, the consecutive improvement by the measuring and evaluating safety management capabilities for the construction participants such as an owner, a contractor, and a supervisor (construction project manager) can be the effective one. Thus, an effective evaluation and grading criteria to provide performance index for the implementation of safety management activities should be necessary. In this regards, the purpose of this study is to verify the adequacy by offering a competency evaluation system for the supervisor's safety capability and by applying the system to some construction sites. The proposed evaluation system was developed on the basis of the principles of safety management & accident prevention, basic elements of safety and health management system, and safety evaluation cases at home and abroad. The trial evaluation showed that the safety management of the construction site is mainly carried out by the contractor and the supervisor's awareness for the safety management is low on the whole. Especially, it is urgent to improve the support system from the supervisor headquarter and to place the dedicated safety management person in the field.

Effect of Job Stress and Job Satisfaction of Health Manager on Organizational Commitment (사업장 보건관리자의 직무스트레스 및 직무만족도가 조직애착에 미치는 영향)

  • To improve work environment for health managers, it was investigated about effect of job stress, psychosocial stress and job satisfaction of health managers on job commitment. The sample used in this study consisted of 166 persons of industrial health managers. The data were collected with self-administered questionnaires between November 2007 and January 2008, and the results analyzed with ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. Job stress was evaluated by using a Korean Occupational Stress Scale(KOSS), and Psychosocial wellbeing index-Short Form(PWI-SF) was used for a psychosocial stress level evaluation. Organized commitment evaluated loyalty, compensation, welfare, job immersion, external employment opportunity, total agreement with employer and personal ability development. In path analyses, interpersonal conflict, lack of reward, psychosocial distress were associated with job satisfaction. And psychosocial distress, job demand, job insecurity, organizational system, occupational climate were associated with organizational commitment. In considering above findings, the health program for psychosocial distress, improvement of job demand, job insecurity, organizational system, occupational climate would be implemented to increase organizational commitment of Health manager.

  • A management planning is an index to accomplish the goal of business enterprise and a managing guide of the top manager. It is a top manager's authority with he gives directions at the beginning of the budget year and has something to do with a responsible accounting. If we correlate this management planning with an area of accounting, we can subdivide it into followings; production and marketing schedule, demand-supply program of raw material, demand-supply program of the personnel and lobor cost program, facility investment program, balance fund program, profit and loss, and financial position program. I think, in the field of accounting for the sake of the management planning, there are motivation accounting, responsible accounting, divisional system accounting, evaluating accounting and so on. A management planning should be accomplishe and as it is accomplished, a business is going to be grown up and developed. Especially, it must be set up on the ground of the long-term strategies. When the accomplishment through the management planning, which is a social responibility that all the business enterprise are seeking after, is attained, it makes the development of business possible and we cannot dent that it is closely connected with the national economic development.
