We investigated multi-layer perceptrons and supervised learning algorithms, and also examined how to model functional relationships between covariates and response variables using a package called neuralnet. The algorithm applied in this paper is characterized by continuous adjustment of the weights, which are parameters to minimize the error function based on the comparison between the actual and predicted values of the response variable. In the neuralnet package, the activation and error functions can be appropriately selected according to the given situation, and the remaining parameters can be set as default values. As a result of using the neuralnet package for the infertility data, we found that age has little influence on infertility among the four independent variables. In addition, the weight of the neural network takes various values from -751.6 to 7.25, and the intercepts of the first hidden layer are -92.6 and 7.25, and the weights for the covariates age, parity, induced, and spontaneous to the first hidden neuron are identified as 3.17, -5.20, -36.82, and -751.6.

This study, as primary research that examines the communication characteristics of the library and the perception of librarians in order to make public libraries a communication space, surveyed the perception of librarians in public libraries and made an attempt to devise activation measures for the communication spaces of the library. As a result, the communication characteristics of the library were derived to be locality, community spirit, and interactivity. In addition, the perception survey found that librarians have positive remarks about the communication spaces of the library. As it shows a high degree of awareness, the library should focus on ways to revitalize communication. First, the direction of communication must be set in order to fulfill library's new role in communication and exchange. Second, it is desirable for the library to free itself from being a quiet space and recreate it as a space for communication. Third, the library needs to exchange and connect with organizations, groups, and gatherings of the community. Fourth, it seems necessary for the library to provide support for the users' independent and voluntary communication and operation of the community.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of single limb stance exercise according to the support surface on dynamic balance ability and abdominal muscle thickness. Methods : We recruited 28 healthy subjects in this study. Subjects were assigned to 2 groups by matching method. The control group was 5 males and 9 females, and single limb stance exercise was performed on the stable support surface. The experimental group consisted of 6 males and 8 females, and trained to stand on the unstable support. During the single limb stance exercise, the dominant foot was set as the foot that appeared numerically through the exercise of the dynamic balance meter (Biorescue). Single limb stance exercise along the supporting surface was maintained for 15 seconds and then rested for 15 seconds. It was repeated 5 times. Particularly, the balance exercise on the unstable support surface was sufficiently practiced. Independent t test was performed for comparison between groups. Paired t test was performed to compare before and after each group. Results : There was no difference between the control group and the experimental group in the comparison of dynamic balance ability (p>.05). However, there were significant differences before and after exercise in both the control and experimental groups (p<.05). Similarly, in the comparison of abdominal muscle thickness, there was a significant difference within each group, especially internal oblique and transverse abdominis (p<.05), and no difference between groups (p>.05). Conclusion : Based on these results, although there was no difference between the groups, in the experimental group, numerical increase in dynamic balance ability and abdominal muscle thickness was confirmed. Therefore, single limb stance exercise on the unstable support surfaces activates core muscles and has a positive effect on dynamic balancing ability.

In this paper, to reduce the unpaid rate of local governments, the internal data elements affecting the arrears in Water-INFOS are searched through interviews with meter readers in certain local governments. Candidate data affecting arrears from national statistical data were derived. The influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable was sampled by examining the disorder of the dependent variable in the data set called information gain. We also evaluated the higher prediction rates of decision tree and logistic regression using n-fold cross-validation. The results confirmed that the decision tree can find more accurate customer payment patterns than logistic regression. In the process of developing an analysis algorithm model using machine learning, the optimal values of two environmental variables, the minimum number of data and the maximum purity, which directly affect the complexity and accuracy of the decision tree, are derived to improve the accuracy of the algorithm.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factor influencing in order to increase the intention to revisit rural experience tourism. 181 men and women who had experienced rural experience tourism were surveyed in a Self-Assessment Questionnaire. Some farming experience, life experience, cultural experience, and leisure experience were set as independent variables as representative programs of rural experience tourism, satisfaction and trust as mediated variables, and relationships as dependent variables. Here, the relationship is regarded as a variable representing the intention to revisit. When performing multi-group path analysis by separating men and women, both men and women had a statistically significant positive (+) effect in the Leisure experience→Satisfaction path and the Trust→Relation path. In addition, the paths that were statistically significant for women were not statistically significant, but were statistically significant only for men were Farm experience→Satisfaction path, Farm experience→Relation path, and Leisure experience→Relation path. In addition, the paths that were not statistically significant for men, but statistically significant for women were Culture experience→Satisfaction and Trust→Satisfaction. According to this study, in order to increase the intention to revisit, both men and women should consider leisure experience. And men should emphasize farming experience, while women should emphasize cultural experience. It is considered that there is a need to further subdivide leisure experience, farming experience and cultural experience for the region. This study has a limitation of only 181 people. More large-scale research will be possible in the future.

BACKGROUND: Measurement of electrical conductivity of saturated soil paste ($EC_e$) for assessment of soil salinity is time-consuming, and thus conversion of EC of 1:5 soil-water extract ($EC_{1:5}$) to $EC_e$ using a dilution factor may be of help to monitor salinity of huge number of soil samples. This study was conducted to evaluate the dilution factor for reclaimed tideland (RTL) soils of South Korea. METHODS AND RESULTS: Soil samples (n=40) were collected from four RTLs, and analyzed for $EC_{1:5}$, $EC_e$, and cation compositions of 1:5 soil-water extract. The dilution factor (8.70) was estimated by regression analysis between $EC_{1:5}$ and $EC_e$, and the obtained dilution factor was validated by applying to an independent data set (n=96) of $EC_{1:5}$ and $EC_e$. The $EC_e$ measured and predicted was strongly correlated ($r^2=0.74$, P<0.001), but $EC_e$ was overestimated by 16% particularly for the soils with high clay content and low sodium adsorption ratio (SAR). CONCLUSION: This study suggests that using the dilution factor to convert $EC_{1:5}$ to $EC_e$ is feasible method to monitor changes in the soil salinity of the study RTL. However, overestimation of $EC_e$ should be cautioned for the soils with high clay content and low SAR.

OMG (Object Management Group) published a security service specification, called CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) security reference model because the integration of security and object-oriented techniques was critical for successful deployment of distributed object systems. The CORBA security reference model treats access control as an implementation independent semantic concept but has incomplete semantics of the access control function. Because of such imcompleteness it is difficult for the system administrator and the CORBA security implementor to have the same understanding for the meaning of access control in the CORBA security. We propose a formal model for access control the CORBA security using the formal description language, which is called Z language based on typed set theory. The proposed model provides concrete semantics of the access control function to both the system administrator and the implementor.
PURPOSE. To investigate the biomechanical effect of marginal bone resorption (MBR) on the mandibular mini implant (MI)-retained overdenture (MI-OD) on the edentulous model. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The experimental mandibular edentulous model was modified from a commercial model with 2 mm thick artificial soft tissue under denture base. Two MIs (Φ2.6 mm × 10 mm) were bilaterally placed between the lateral incisor and the canine area and attached with magnetic attachments. Three groups were set up as follows: 1) alveolar bone around the MI without MBR (normal group), 2) with MBR to 1/2 the length of the implant (resorption group), and 3) complete denture (CD) without MI (CD group). Strain around the MI, pressure near the first molar area, and displacement of denture were simultaneously measured, loading up to 50 N under bilateral/unilateral loading. Statistical analysis was performed using independent-samples t test and one-way ANOVA (α=.05). RESULTS. The strain around the MI with MBR was approximately 1.5 times higher than that without MBR. The pressure in CD was higher than in MI-ODs (P<.05), while there was no statistical difference between the normal and resorption group (P>.05). Similarly, the CD demonstrated a greater displacement of the denture base than did the MI-ODs during bilateral and unilateral loadings (P<.05). CONCLUSION. The strain around the MI with MBR was approximately 1.5 times higher than that without MBR. The pressure on posterior alveolar ridge and denture displacement of MI-ODs significantly decreased compared to CDs, even when MBR occurs. Bilateral balanced occlusion was recommended for MI-ODs, especially when MBR occurred.
Background: Although symmetry of spatio-temporal parameter and center of pressure (COP) shift during walking is associated with knee adduction moment, research on clinical association with knee osteoarthritis (OA)-related knee pain and functional scores is lacking. Objects: The aims were 1) to compare symmetry of gait parameters and COP-shift in patients with unilateral knee OA and pain and matched controls, and 2) to investigate the relationship between symmetry of gait parameters and COP-shift, and clinical measures. Methods: Female subjects (n = 16) had with unilateral radiological knee OA and pain. Healthy controls (n = 15) were age-matched to OA group. Symmetry of foot rotation, step length, stance and swing phase, lateral symmetry of COP and anterior/posterior symmetry of COP during walking was assessed. To assess the clinical variables, pain intensity, pain duration and function using Knee Osteoarthritis Outcome Survey (KOOS) subscales were collected. We compared symmetry between groups using Mann-Whitney U-test or independent t-test. Relationships between clinical measures and symmetry index measured using Spearman's correlation test. Statistical significance was set at α = 0.05. Results: Knee OA group showed significantly greater values of only lateral symmetry of COP (p < 0.01) than healthy group. Values of lateral symmetry of COP had moderate or strong correlation significantly with the intensity of knee pain, pain duration, and scores of all KOOS subscales (p < 0.01). Conclusion: Patients with unilateral knee OA and pain showed more asymmetry of lateral COP-shift during walking compared with matched healthy controls. In addition, larger asymmetry of lateral COP-shift has the moderate or strong association with worse of knee pain, worse in KOOS scores and longer duration of knee pain. Asymmetry of lateral COP-shift during walking may be one of the characteristics of unilateral knee OA as the compensatory strategy response to unilateral OA of the knee.

The purpose of this study was to explore what factors influenced users using smartphones in their decision making. In this study, intimacy/personal connectivity, use/dependence, familiarity/professionalism, efficacy/effectiveness, self-identity, control, etc. were set as independent variables and decision-making as dependent variables. In this study, 200 smartphone users were collected and analyzed through a questionnaire, and a nonlinear analysis method using WarpPLS software was utilized to identify the effects between variables. As a result, this study confirmed that factors in smart phone ownership (SPO) could affect individual decision-making and identify that users' psychological factors in the use of smart devices would be directly related to the outcome of decision-making. Through this, it is possible to understand the development of future industries and the acceptability of users using smart devices. and will be meaningful research in tourism, new product development, or continuous brand development.
