부유식 해양플랜트 계류 체인의 면외굽힘 거동에 대한 연구 (A Study on Out-of-Plane Bending Mechanism of Mooring Chains for Floating Offshore Plants)

  • OPB(out-of-plane bending)-induced failure of mooring chain was firstly addressed by CALM (catenary anchor leg mooring)-type offloading buoy, located approximately one mile away from the bow of the Girassol FPSO which was installed offshore area of Angola in September 2001. This study deals with verifying the load transfer mechanism between the first free chain link and connected two chain links inside the chain hawse. OPB moment to angle variation relationships are proposed by extensive parametric study where the used design variables are static friction coefficients, proof test loads, nominal tension forces, chain link diameters, chain link grades and chain link types. The stress ranges due to OPB moments are obtained using nonlinear FEAs (finite element analyses). Final stress ranges are derived considering ones from IPT (in-plane tension) forces. Also a formula for OPB fatigue assessment is briefly introduced.

선박 이중판의 보강법 연구 (Study on the Reinforced Method of Doubler Plate in Ship Hull Structure)

  • A study for the structural strength analysis on the doubler plate subjected to the axial, biaxial in-plane compression and shear load has been performed through the systematic evaluation process. In order to estimate the proper static strength of doubler plate, non-linear elasto-plastic analysis is introduced. Gap element modeling for contact effect between main plate and doubler is prepared and nonlinear analysis procedures are illustrated based on MSC/N4W . In addition, some design guides are suggested through the consideration of several important effects such as corrosion of main plate, doubler width, doubler length and doubler thickness. Finally theses results are compared with developed design formula based on the buckling strength and general trends and design guides according to the variation of design parameters are discussed.

  • 흑백 항공사진을 이용하여 산지급류하천(山地急流河川)의 하상변동(河床變動)을 파악한 결과, 다음과 같은 면에서 항공사진이 유효정보로 사용될 수 있다. 1. 항공사진 및 현지조사에 의한 하도폭(河道幅) 측정값의 직선회귀식은 Y=1.0+0.94X($r^2=0.98$)로, 두 인자간의 높은 상관관계가 확인되어 항공사진이 하도폭 해석에 유효하게 사용될 수 있다. 2. 항공사진 판독에 의해 하도내의 하상퇴적지(河床堆積地)와 유로(流路)의 평면적(平面的) 구분(區分)이 가능하였으며, 또한 하상퇴적지(河床堆積地)의 평면적(平面的) 분포(分布) 상황(狀況)과 유로(流路)의 규모(規模) 및 형성과정(形成過程)을 추정 할 수 있다. 3. 촬영시기가 상이한 항공사진을 판독하므로서 각 시기별 유로특성(流路特性)을 파악할 수 있었으며, 또한 이를 비교, 분석하므로서 하상변동(河床變動)에 강하게 영향하는 유로변동(流路變動) 과정(過程)을 추정할 수 있다. 4. 항공사진상의 하도폭(河道幅) 측정(測定), 하상(河床)의 평면형태(平面形狀) 해석(解析) 및 유로변동(流路變動) 파악(把握) 등에 의해 하상미지형도(河床微地形圖)를 작성할 수 있으며, 이를 기초로 하상퇴적지(河床堆積地)의 평면적(平面的) 해석(解析)이 가능하다.

면내 변위의 변화를 고려한 Cross-ply 적층판의 진동 및 감쇠해석 (Vibration and Damping Analysis of Cross-ply Plate Strip Including Layer-wise In-plane Displacements)

  • In order to investigate the effects of layer-wise in-plane displacements on vibration and damping characteristics of composite laminated plates, the finite element method based on the generalized laminated plate theory(GLPT) has been formulated. Specific damping capacity of each mode was obtained by modal strain energy method. To see the effect of transverse shear on deformation, the strain energy of stress components was computed. The accuracy of this study was examined for the cylindrical bending vibration of cross-ply plate strip. The results were very accurate compared with 3-D solutions. The numerical results show that through-thickness variation of in-plane displacements has not so much influence on the natural frequency, but has a great influence on the damping of composite plates, especially on the damping of thick composite plates since the damping is affected by local behavior while the natural frequency is affected by global behavior.

레퍼런스 패턴 기반 면내 위치 측정 방법 (Measuring Method of In-plane Position Based On Reference Pattern)

  • Generally, in-plane position of moving object is measured referring to the reference pattern attached to the object. From optical camera to magnetic reluctance probe, there are many ways detecting a variation of the periodical pattern. In this paper, the various operating principles developed for in-plane positioning are reviewed and compared each other. And, a novel method measuring large rotation as well as x, y linear displacements is suggested, including a detailed description of the overall system layout. It is a modified version of the surface encoder, which is a robust digital measuring method. From the surface encoder, the rotation of an object is measured indirectly through a compensated input of optical servo and independently of linear displacements. So, the operating range can be extended simply by enlarging the reference pattern, without magnifying the decoding units.

  • Numerical analysis of the partial admission turbine in the KARI turbopump has been performed. Flow field of the partial admission turbine is intrinsically unsteady and three dimensional. To avoid heavy computational efforts, the frozen rotor method is adopted in computation and compared with the mixing plane approach. The frozen rotor method can represent the variation of a flow field along the circumferential direction of rotor blades, which have the different relative positions to the nozzle with one another. It also illustrates the wake loss mechanism starting from the lip of a nozzle, which is not captured in the mixing plane method. The frozen rotor method has proven to be an efficient tool for the design of a partial admission turbine.

절리면 전단거동에서의 법선응력 영향 고찰 (A Study on the Effect of Normal Stress on the Joint Shear Behavior)

  • 법선응력 수준과 초기 절리면 거칠기를 고려하여 절리면의 전단거동 특성을 고찰하였다. 절리면 전단강도는 순차적으로 법선응력을 증가시키는 다단계 전단시험을 수행하여 측정하였다. 일정한 법선응력 구간에서의 다단계 전단시험을 반복적으로 수행하여 전단파괴 기준선을 산출하였으며, 기준선의 순차적인 변화양상을 고찰하여 전단강도정수인 점착력과 마찰각의 2가지 변화 형태를 도출하였다: type 1 - 점착력 감소 및 마찰각 감소, type 2 - 점착력 감소 및 마찰각 증가. 편마암, 화강암 및 셰일의 3가지 암종별 전단강도정수 변화양상을 고찰하였으며, 순차적 전단거동 과정에서 절리면의 초기 거칠기가 전단강도 변화에 미치는 영향도 분석하였다.

새로운 Pseudo-TN IPS 모드 액정 셀에 대한 특성 해석 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Novel Pseudo-TN IPS Mode LC Cell)

  • 본 논문에서는 IT(In-plane switching foisted nematic) 모드를 기반으로 광 투과 특성을 개선시킨 Pseudo-TN IPS(Pseudo-Twisted Nematic In-Plane Switching) 모드를 새롭게 제안하고 그 광 투과 특성을 분석하였다. PTN-IPS 모드의 경우 개구율을 향상시켜 투과율 면적을 향상시킴으로써 종래의 IT 모드보다 약 25%정도의 높은 광 투과 특성을 나타내었으며, 전압인가에 따른 광 투과율의 변화가 선형적이므로, 광 투과율 조절을 위한 액정의 제어가 IT 모드에 비해 용이함을 확인하였다. 또한, IT 모드에 비해 수평방향 대비비는 약 8%정도 특성이 열화 되었으나 수직 방향에 있어서는 약 20%이상의 특성개선을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이와 더불어, 기존 IT 모드가 가지고 있는 샐 갭에 대한 특성 및 장점을 가지고 있어, 차세대 액정 셀을 개발하는데 유용하게 사용될 것이라 생각된다.

선도체 대 평면전극 갭에서 평면전극에 연소화염 존재시 대기의 절연파괴 특성 (Breakdown Characteristics of Air in the Gap between Line Conductor and Plane Electrode in Case of Combustion Flame on the Plane Electrode)

  • Breakdown characteristics of air in the vertical arrangement of line conductor and plane electrode in case of combustion flame on the plane electrode are examined by the application of AC. and DC voltages to the gap. In order to investigate the effect of paraffin flame on the breakdown characteristics of air, flashover voltages are measured according to the variation of the gap length and the horizontal distance between the flame and the line conductor. As the result of the experiment, flashover voltages are substantially lowered down to 29.8% in case of the AC voltage, and 16.1% in case of the negative DC voltage, when in the presence of the flame. from 100% when in the absence of flame. Flashover voltages of air in the range of smaller than 3㎝ at the horizontal distance are increased in the proportion of the gap length and the horizontal distance in case of both AC and negative DC voltages. But before the flashover occurs, the flame is extinguished by such corona wind that is produced from the line conductor when the gap length and the horizontal distance reach to a certain degree. The effect of relative air density and the phenomenon of thermal ionization are analysed as the reduction factors of flashover voltages, due to high temperature of the flame.
