Off-axis 펄스레이저 증착법으로 성장된 ZnO 나노구조에 관한 연구 (ZnO Nanostructure Formed by Off-axis Pulsed Laser Deposition)

  • ZnO nanostructures were formed on a Si substrate by off-axis pulsed laser deposition(PLD) system in which a substrate plane was tilted toward a plume propagation direction. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) showed islands of 20∼40 nm width. From the x-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern exhibiting only (002) ZnO peak, the islands observed in AFM image were found to well crystallized. Optical bandgap enlargement from 3.26 eV to 3.35 and 3.47 eV due to the quantum size effect of ZnO nanostructures were observed by Photoluminescence (PL) at room temperature.

전기접촉저항에 관한 접촉통계치의 영향 (Effect of Contact Statistics on Electrical Contact Resistance)

  • The flow of electrical current through a microscopic actual contact spot between two conductors is influenced by the flow through adjacent contact spots. A smoothed version of this interaction effect is developed and used to predict the contact resistance when the statistical size and spatial distribution of contact spots is known. To illustrate the use of the method, an idealized fractal rough surface is defined using the random midpoint displacement algorithm and the size distribution of contact spots is assumed to be given by the intersection of this surface with a constant height plane. With these assumptions, it is shown that including finer scale detail in the fractal surface, equivalent to reducing the sampling length in the measurement of the surface, causes the predicted resistance to approach the perfect contact limit.

Size-dependent vibration analysis of laminated composite plates

  • The size-dependent vibration analysis of a cross-/angle-ply laminated composite plate when embedded on the Pasternak elastic foundation and exposed to an in-plane magnetic field are investigated by adopting an analytical eigenvalue approach. The formulation, which is based on refined-hyperbolic-shear-deformation-plate theory in conjunction with the Eringen Nonlocal Differential Model (ENDM), is tested against considering problems for which numerical/analytical solutions available in the literature. The findings of this study demonstrated the role of magnetic field, size effect, elastic foundation coefficients, geometry, moduli ratio, lay-up numbers and fiber orientations on the nonlocal frequency of cross-/angle-ply laminated composite plates.

철근콘크리트 보의 휨압축강도에 대한 크기효과 (Size Effect on Flexural Compressive Strength of Reinforced Concrete Beams)

  • 철근콘크리트 보 단면의 극한강도를 예측할 때에는 부재의 크기를 고려하지 않는 것이 일반적이다. 그러나 부재 단면의 휨압 축강도는 부재의 크기가 증가함에 따라 항상 감소하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 철근콘크리트 보에 대한 실험적 고찰을 통해 휨압축강도의 크기효과를 살펴보고 이에 대한 적절한 모델식을 제시하고자 한다. 보의 유효깊이(d$\approx$15, 30, 60cm)를 주요 매개변수로 하였으며 전단스팬/유효깊이(a/d)는 3.0으로 하였고 시편의 폭은 20 cm로 일정하게 하여 휨하중을 가하며 실험을 수행하였다. 실험에서 구한 하중, 변형률, 및 보의 처짐 등을 이용하여 휨압축응력-변형률 관계를 3차의 비선형 다항식을 이용한 회귀분석을 수행하여 구하였다. 분석 결과 보의 유효깊이가 증가함에 따라 휨압축강도, 최대 휨압축응력에서의 변형률, 그리고 극한변형률이 감소하며 취성적인 파괴거동을 나타내었다. 그리고 설계기준에서 제시하고 있는 $\beta$l값과 보의 극한 변형률 값에 대해서도 크기효과가 있으므로 이에 대한 검토가 필요하다고 판단된다. 마지막으로 수정된 크기효과법칙을 사용하여 철근콘크리트 보의 휨압축강도에 대한 크기 효과모델식을 제시하였다.

Synthetic MR 기법을 이용한 금속 인공물 감소 효과 평가 (Evaluation of Effect of Decrease in Metallic Artifacts using the Synthetic MR Technique )

  • 본 연구는 금속 인공물을 감소시키는 데 있어 synthetic MR 기법의 효과를 평가해보고자 하였다. 실험은 척추 수술용 나사로 제작된 팬텀을 대상으로 synthetic MR 기법과 고속 스핀 에코 기법을 적용하여 in-plane과 through-plane 영상을 획득하고 금속 인공물의 면적을 비교해 보았다. 금속 인공물은 signal-loss와 signal pile-up 영역으로 구분하여 측정하였고 둘의 합을 통해 최종 인공물의 면적을 계산하였다. 그 결과, in-plane, through-plane 모두 synthetic MR 기법을 적용했을 때 상대적으로 금속 인공물이 감소하였다. 시퀀스 별로 비교하면 in-plane의 경우 T1 영상은 23.45%, T2 영상은 20.85%, PD 영상은 19.67%, FLAIR 영상은 22.12% 감소하였다. 또한 through-plane의 경우 T1 영상은 62.95%, T2 영상은 73.93, PD 영상은 74.68%, FLAIR 영상은 66.43% 감소하였다. 이러한 결과의 원인은 synthetic MR 기법 적용 시 signal pile-up에 의한 왜곡이 발생하지 않아 전체 금속 인공물의 크기가 감소하였기 때문이다. 따라서 synthetic MR 기법은 매우 효과적으로 금속 인공물을 감소시킬 수 있어 영상의 진단적 가치를 높이는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다.

Numerical simulations of localization of deformation in quasi-brittle materials within non-local softening plasticity

  • The paper presents results of FE-calculations on shear localizations in quasi-brittle materials during both an uniaxial plane strain compression and uniaxial plane strain extension. An elasto-plastic model with a linear Drucker-Prager type criterion using isotropic hardening and softening and non-associated flow rule was used. A non-local extension was applied in a softening regime to capture realistically shear localization and to obtain a well-posed boundary value problem. A characteristic length was incorporated via a weighting function. Attention was focused on the effect of mesh size, mesh alignment, non-local parameter and imperfections on the thickness and inclination of shear localization. Different methods to calculate plastic strain rates were carefully discussed.

반구형 및 반타원형으로 텍스처링된 평면 베어링의 부하지지능력과 등가마찰계수에 대한 해석 (A Study on the Load Carrying Capacity and Equivalence Friction Coefficient of a Textured Plane Bearing with Semi-spherical Dimples and Semi-ellipsoidal Dimples)

  • The increase of energetic efficiency in plane bearing is getting more important in the transfer mechanism of semi-conductor and display panel manufacturing processes. To accomplish this objective, the technique of surface texturing on bearing surface has recently emerged as one of the most effective candidates. In this study, the effects of various pattern parameters on two bearing performance indices(load carrying capacity and effective friction coefficient) are investigated through a semi-analytic method, i.e., the 2-dimensional Reynolds equation incorporated into the finite difference scheme. Here, cavitation effect is also taken into account by employing an appropriate numerical scheme. In this study, the patterns in the textured surface are composed of a series of semi-spheres or semi-ellipsoids in shape. The effects of their size and number density on the performance indices are examined through the performance of various numerical experiments. Also, the effects of the anisotropy of the semi-ellipsoidal pattern on the bearing's lubrication characteristics are investigated and discussed.

2차원 평면응력 상태에서 되풀이 소성역이 피로균열 열림 현상에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (An Evaluation on the Effect of Reversed Plastic Zone on the Fatigue Crack Opening Behavior under 2-D Plane Stress)

  • The relationship between fatigue crack opening behavior and the reversed plastic zone sizes is studied. An elastic-plastic finite element analysis (FEA) is performed to examine the opening behavior of fatigue crack, where the contact elements are used in the mesh of the track tip area. The smaller element size than reversed plastic zone size is used fer evaluating the distribution of reversed plastic zone. In the author's previous results the FEA could predict the crack opening level, which crack tip elements were in proportion to the theoretical reversed plastic zone size. It is found that the calculated reversed plastic zone size is related to the theoretical reversed plastic zone size and crack opening level. The calculated reversed plastic zone sizes are almost equal to the reversed plastic zone considering crack opening level obtained by experimental results. It can be possible to predict the crack opening level from the reversed plastic zone size calculated by finite element method. We find that the experimental crack opening levels correspond with the opening values of contact nodes on the calculated reversed plastic zone of finite element simulation.

고밀도 수산화니켈 분말의 제조에 관한 연구-I (Fabrication of High-Density Nickel Hydroxide Powder-I)

  • To increase the capacity of positive electrode materials for matching the high capacity negative electrode materials in alkaline rechargeable batteries, high-density nickel hydroxide powders were made through a continuous process from nickel sulfate reacted with ammonia and sodium hydroxidc. The effect of operating conditions on structure, shape, size distribution, apparent density and tap density of powders were investigated. Crystal structure of nickel hydroxide powder was hcp according to Bravais Lattice. The increase of mean residence time promoted the growth of (101) plane. The shape of powder was nearly spherical. Their size was in the range of $2~50\mu\textrm{m}$. The size distribution of the powders prepared was narrower than that of commercially obtained nickel hydroxide. Apparent density and tap density were 1.6~1.7g/cc and 2.0~2.1g/cc, respectively.

공동주택 안목치수 설계기준에 의한 붙박이장의 표준화방안 연구 (A Study on the Standardization of the Built-in Wardrobe by Housing Inside Dimension)

  • Built-in wardrobe is constructing after ordering and making, because built-in wardrobe's size is fixed as housing measurement. It is hard to speak built-in wardrobe components of construction in these ways, and application of an MC (Modular Coordination) design system is meaningless too. And above all, measurement before construction isn't to expect standardization, and to increase custom-made furniture. So I suggest the standardization of built-in wardrobe utilizing standard last finish and reference plane in order to prevent an evil influence of built-in wardrobe's construction. And we utilized a reference plane, and we present construction document and design plan in order to solve these problems. The first stage, we investigate manufacture of a preferential domestic system kitchen and construction state, and we derive from a problem in viewpoints of standardization for this. And we analyze an effect got by application of the assembly basis aspect that we presented, and we can raise efficiency of standardization of housing and construction industry, and we light ultimately up. I will apply a standardization plan as above, and define that this assures a standardization of components and an economic effect.
