The importance of human factors has been emphasized for pilots because most of aviation accidents have been caused by the human factors of pilots. Human factors issues such as fatigue affecting flight safety are needed to be educated to student pilots who have less experience in flight training. In order to prevent aviation accidents caused by human factors, the management of stress, fatigue, and obsessive-compulsive disorder which increase psychological harmful factors of student pilots, is essential for aviation safety. The management of fatigue is required as a part of safety management system following the guidance of leading aviation authorities. The purpose of this article was to investigate the factors of fatigue at each stage by classifying it into before, during, and after flight training to manage the fatigue of students pilots. Then, the factors of relatively high fatigue were analyzed by using the AHP process to provide factors related fatigue affecting pilot training.

Drone related research has been increasing recently due to the development and distribution of commercial unmanned aerial vehicles. However, most of the previous studies focused on the accuracy and utility of drone surveying. For drones, the resolution of the result is determined according to the flight altitude, but since 70% of Korea is mountainous, it is necessary to analyze the quality of the drone image according to the flight plan. In this study, the quality of drone photogrammetry results according to flight plans was analyzed. The flight plan was established by fixed altitude and considering the height of the terrain. Images were acquired for both cases and data was processed to generate ortho images. As a result of evaluating the accuracy of the generated ortho image, the accuracy was found to be -0.07 ~ 0.09m. The accuracy of Case I and Case II did not show a significant difference, but for RMSE, Case I showed a good value. These results indicate that the drone flight plan affects the quality of the results. Also, when flying at a fixed altitude, II showed a lower value than the originally set overlap according to the altitude of the object. In future surveys using drones, flight planning taking into account the height of the object will contribute to the improvement of the quality of the results.

In-flight service, depending on the perceptions of service satisfaction because ever turns into a variable, which enables service providers the flexibility of a variable in the end flight service to suit your needs to providing comprehensive and proactive services of the crew will be motivated. In addition, the service provider's motivation to work in a confined space on board the flight service characteristics in-flight service will be a major impact on the environment. This service-oriented environment, in-flight service and motivation in order to verify the impact on services in Cape factors as independent variables and the dependent variable service-oriented multi-regression analysis was performed. As a result, the motivation of the crew and the crew of the service-oriented, with a voluntary service crew services dependent variable parameters that affect the behavior of the acts. Services and service-oriented motivation Cape factors significantly influence both the irradiated while the impact on voluntary service and results verification service aesthetics, cleanliness, and physical service environment, only the voluntary services of the crew a positive effect on that the effects were investigated.

This paper tried to research the relationship among the passenger's satisfaction and expectation of in-flight service quality, overall satisfaction and passenger's Loyalty by emphasizing on two groups of passengers and cabin crews from K-airline to find out which service quality area should be focused on for pursuing premium in-flight service. Such six service quality areas as in-flight equipment, food&beverage, duty-free sales, service ability, service image and specialized service were conceived and survey questions were made based on relevant previous researches. The analysis has used the data of 281 passengers and 336 cabin crews from K-airline. According to the analysis, in physical service factors, passengers perceive satisfaction from duty-free sales contributes to overall service satisfaction. However, cabin crews believed in-flight equipment and food&beverage are important to overall service satisfaction. In human service factors, both groups seemed to agree service ability and service image have a positive impact on overall service satisfaction. Among service satisfaction factors, the customer's satisfaction from cabin crew's service ability(service response, professional knowledge and foreign language skill) is also proven to be directly connected to customer loyalty.

Drones are now widely used in civilian applications such as filming, leisure, agricultural control, monitoring, and the generation of 3D-spatial information, deviating only from military drones. In the field of logistics, prototypes are emerging in the area of logistics transportation, and to develop a future transportation service under the name of a drone tax, each country is introducing its first flight results using its own unique drones. In this paper, we review the domestic and overseas trends of drone delivery service technology, which requires various capabilities such as automatic flight, and review the related core technologies. We then propose the flight capability and road map of a drone delivery service according to the detailed conditions such as the flight area, visibility, and flight method. Additionally, in connection with the postal processing of the Korea Post Office, which would be a main demand for this type of service, we describe a method for realizing a drone delivery service based on the structure, scenario, and deployment of the drone delivery system.
In this paper, We present a new nonlinear adaptive control law using a disturbance accommodating control (DAC) observer for a Japanese automatic landing flight experiment vehicle called ALFLEX. A future spaceplane must have ability to deal with greater fluctuations in the stability and control derivatives of flight dynamics, because its flight region is much wider than that of conventional aircraft. In our previous studies, digital adaptive flight control systems have been developed based on a linear-parameter-varying (LPV) model depending on dynamic pressure, and obtained good simulation results. However, under previous control laws, it is difficult to accommodate uncertainties represented by disturbance and nonlinearity, and to design a stable flight control system. Therefore, in this study, we attempted to design a nonlinear adaptive control law using the DAC Observer and inverse dynamic methods. A good tracking property of the obtained system was confirmed in numerical simulation.

The improvements in high performance and agility of modern fighter aircraft have led to improvements in survivability as well. Related to these performance increases are rapid response and adequate deflection of the control surfaces. Most control surface failures result from the failure of the actuator. Therefore, the failure and behavior of the actuators are essential to both combat aircraft survivability and maneuverability. In this study, we investigate the effects of flaperon actuator failure on flight maneuvers of a supersonic aircraft. The flight maneuvers were analyzed using six degrees of freedom (6DOF) simulations. This research will contribute to improvements in the reconfiguration of control surfaces and control allocation in flight control algorithms. This paper compares the results of these 6DOF simulations with the horizontal tail actuator failures analyzed previously.

The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) has been collaborating with the NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, to install a coronagraph on the International Space Station (ISS). The coronagraph will utilize spectral information to simultaneously measure electron density, temperature, and velocity. As a first step, we developed a new coronagraph and launched it on a stratospheric balloon in 2019 (BITSE) from Fort Sumner, New Mexico in USA. As the next step, the coronagraph will be be further developed, installed and operate on the ISS (CODEX) in 2022 to address a number of important questions (e.g., source and acceleration of solar wind, and coronal heating) in the physics of the solar corona and the heliosphere. Recently, BITSE has been launched at Fort Sumner, New Mexico. In this presentation, we will introduce the BITSE mission and discuss recent progress.

By using commercial flight simulation game engine, X-Plane, we have studied QTG(Qualification Test Guide) generation that can satisfy FTD level 5. Flight model is SR-20 of Cirrus. In list of QTG, There are some items to measure control forces. therefore, we have installed CLS(Control Loading System) to flight control devices in order to make it possible to measure control forces. We made Autopilot function externally to make flight model in trim conditions because X-Plane don't provide internal trim routine function. In addition to develop an algorithm, it can automatically perform the test. To avoid the inconvenience to control as it was to be carried out in same conditions. In case of FTD level 5, it is possible to use alternative data sources not only real flight data. By using these alternative data sources, all test results satisfy a scope given by CFR Part 60.
This paper reviews and criticizes some issues as to the case of A and Others v. Finnair Oyj [2020] Case C-832/18 by examining EU Regulations and practical point of views. Under this case, the travellers brought an action against Finnair in light of the Air Passenger Regulation12, seeking compensation for both the first cancelled flight, and the delayed re-routed flight. Finnair had paid the first compensation, but refused to grant the second claim, arguing that the regulation did not set out that passengers were eligible for a second claim in those situations, and that the delay of the second flight was a consequence of 'extraordinary circumstances' under the regulation. The Court of Appeal in Helsinki has asked the CJEU whether an air passenger is entitled to a further compensation where a re-routed flight they have agreed to take is delayed, where both the original and rerouted flight are operated by the same air carrier. The CJEU held that the regulation does not in any way limit the rights of passengers where they find their flights being re-routed. As such, under earlier CJEU case law, the relevant travellers here were entitled to compensation for cancellation of the first flight and delay of the second flight. It also disagreed with Finnair's assessment that the technical failure in the re-routing flight was a matter of extraordinary circumstances.
