  • In this peper, we proposed efficient network structure using UAV squad in DTN. In Delay Tolerant Network(DTN), the routing protocols adopting store-carry-forward method are used for solving network problem occurred by the unstable network environments. This routing method is useful for work in disaster and battle field so many researches are in progress. This paper is part of that, we use UAV squad in DTN which is dynamic environments for efficient network structure. Propsed measure use environment information in disparate sensor node and organize UAV squad for stable network.

  • This paper presents a control algorithm for smart actuators that can be used in a 'steer-by-wire' system for next-generation intelligent automobiles. 'Steer-by-wire' is a network-based mechatronic steering system in which mechanical linkages and hydraulics are replaced by electric motors and a digital communication network. The algorithm is designed not only to achieve the capabilities of following the desired steering angles while minimizing the discrepancy between two steering wheels, but also to tolerate an actuator with faults. The proposed algorithm is based on a simple proportional control so that it can be implemented in real-time with a low-cost embedded microcontroller. The effectiveness of the control algorithm is examined using a hardware-in-the-loop simulator consisting of two DC motors and a CAN bus network.

  • In this paper, In this paper, Smart OBD2 terminal collects OBD2 Data on the vehicle. And it passes through this with SmartPhone Bluetooth. OBD2 system is the system to use a variety of Service using it in SmartPhone. Utilizing NFC to help ordinary people, it can easily use to configure the Bluetooth Pairing. By using the Bluetooth 4.0, it is maximized compatibility of Bluetooth. Furthermore OBD2 terminal is a system to minimize the standby power of the terminal to prevent the discharge of the vehicle up issues. Anyone can develop an OBD2 connection App by providing the interfaces to make DB to develop and understand ODB2 data.

  • With the development of autonomous driving technology, the number of external contact sensors mounted on vehicles is increasing, and the importance is also rising. The vehicular ultrasonic sensor uses the LIN protocol in the form of a bus topology and reports a status message about its surroundings through the vehicle's internal network. Since ultrasonic sensors are vulnerable to various threats due to poor security protocols, physical testing on actual vehicle is needed. Therefore, this paper developed a LIN-CAN co-analysis testbed with a jig for location-specific distance test to examine the operational relation between LIN and CAN caused by ultrasonic sensors.

  • In this study, we introduce a system for real-time monitoring of field conditions within an industrial complex using a 5G network UAV (: Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). When a monitoring event occurs in a sensor mounted on a UAV (detection of fire, harmful gas, or industrial disaster type human accident), key information from the sensor is transmitted to the UAS (: Unmanned Aerial System) application server. As a result of this information transmission and processing, managers or operators of the Industrial Complex Corporation were able to secure legal basis data for fatal accidents, fires, and detection of harmful gases at sites within the Industrial Complex Corporation through trigger processing for each accident risk situation.

  • Most of campus vehicle management systems, so far, simply manages coming in or go out of vehicles, issuing a parking tickets. Recently some of them use RFID tags to count total numbers of cars in the campus, excluding exact parking position management. In this paper we propose a new campus vehicle management system using wireless sensor network location management scheme. This system adopts RSSI based location management method with some performance improvement technique. According to the experimental result, this proposed scheme can be used to implement an effective campus vehicle management system.

  • In this paper, it leads the approach of fusing multiple RGB cameras for visual objects recognition based on deep learning with convolution neural network and 3D Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) to observe the environment and match into a 3D world in estimating the distance and position in a form of point cloud map. The goal of perception in multiple cameras are to extract the crucial static and dynamic objects around the autonomous vehicle, especially the blind spot which assists the AV to navigate according to the goal. Numerous cameras with object detection might tend slow-going the computer process in real-time. The computer vision convolution neural network algorithm to use for eradicating this problem use must suitable also to the capacity of the hardware. The localization of classified detected objects comes from the bases of a 3D point cloud environment. But first, the LiDAR point cloud data undergo parsing, and the used algorithm is based on the 3D Euclidean clustering method which gives an accurate on localizing the objects. We evaluated the method using our dataset that comes from VLP-16 and multiple cameras and the results show the completion of the method and multi-sensor fusion strategy.

  • According to the law revision of TPMS mounting obligations in Korea, researches about energy harvester which is the alternative of the battery are actively performed by many groups. Because WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) has the proposition of "Install and forget" and the power supplier also has the same performance as the vehicle's lifetime. In this paper, electromagnetic induction type of energy harvester through the relative motion between the rotating wheel and the fixed brake disc is introduced by using the most efficient source as the rotating motion in the view of vehicle's mechanism. The coil on the wheel and the permanent magnet at the brake disc are arranged in several ways. These various arrangements are the number of coil turns are consisted of design variables. By using the orthogonal array to reduce the experimental cost, the optimal composition is verified through the experiment. Finally the validity of the module is considered by measuring the level of storable electrical energy.

The Design of Sensor System for Scalable Mobile Meteorological Information Services (확장 가능한 모바일 기상 정보 서비스를 위한 센서 시스템의 설계)

  • In the mobile meteorological information services, an existing sensor system should be expanded to serve precise information. This is because of large cost problem to add the existing sensors. This thesis proposes a system architecture to construct scalable mobile meteorological information services and suggests mobile phone, sensor network, and public traffic vehicle as expended sensors. The proposed scalable sensors are compared each other and analysed the results to evaluated their strength and weakness. In this system, based on the characteristics of the sense data collected at server, a data processing methods are proposed to support efficient query processing. The proposing data processing methods have several benefits. They compress some data volume sensed by various sources on some area at some time to a logical unit. Still it could preserve same services quality.

Forecasting of Real Time Traffic Situation using Neural Network and Sensor Database Management System (신경망과데이터베이스 관리시스템을 이용한 실시간 교통상황 예보)

  • This paper proposes a prediction method to prevent traffic accident and reduce to vehicle waiting time using neural network. Computer simulation results proved reducing average vehicle waiting time which proposed coordinating green time better than electro-sensitive traffic light system dose not consider coordinating green time. Moreover, we present neural network approach for traffic accident prediction with unnormalized (actual or original collected) data. This approach is not consider the maximum value of data and possible use the network without normalizing but the predictive accuracy is better. Also, the unnormalized method shows better predictive accuracy than the normalized method given by maximum value. Therefore, we can make the best use of this model in software reliability prediction using unnormalized data. Computer simulation results proved reducing traffic accident waiting time which proposed neural network better than conventional system dosen't consider neural network.
