열전소자를 이용한 BIPV 모듈의 냉각시스템 개발 (Cooling System Development of BIPV Module Using Thermoelectron)

  • This paper presents a cooling system using thermoelectron for improving the output of BIPV module. The temperature characteristic in regard to improving the output of BIPV system has rarely been studied up to now but some researchers only presented the method using a ventilator. The cooling system efficiency of BIPV module applied to a ventilator mainly depends on the weather such as wind, insolation etc. Because the cooling system of BIPV module using a ventilator is so sensitive, that is being set off by wind speed at all time but is unable to operate in the NOCT(Nominal Operating Cell Temperature) which is able to make the maximum output. The paper presents the cooling system using thermoelectron so as to solve such problems. The temperature control of thermoelectron can be controlled independently in the outside environment because that is performed by micro-controller. The temperature control of thermoelectron, also, can be operated around NOCT through algorism of the temperature control. Therefore, outputs of the whole system increase and the efficiency rises. The paper demonstrates the validity of proposed method by comparing the data obtained through a experiment of the cooling method of BIPV using a ventilator and proposed thermoelectron.

  • Human being recognizes the physical world by integrating a great variety of sensory inputs, the information acquired by their own action, and their knowledge of the world using hierarchically parallel-distributed mechanism. In this paper, authors propose the sensor fusion system that can recognize multiple 3D objects from 2D projection images and tactile informations. The proposed system focuses on improving recognition performance of 3D objects. Unlike the conventional object recognition system that uses image sensor alone, the proposed method uses tactual sensors in addition to visual sensor. Neural network is used to fuse the two sensory signals. Tactual signals are obtained from the reaction force of the pressure sensors at the fingertips when unknown objects are grasped by four-fingered robot hand. The experiment evaluates the recognition rate and the number of learning iterations of various objects. The merits of the proposed systems are not only the high performance of the learning ability but also the reliability of the system with tactual information for recognizing various objects even though the visual sensory signals get defects. The experimental results show that the proposed system can improve recognition rate and reduce teeming time. These results verify the effectiveness of the proposed sensor fusion system as recognition scheme for 3D objects.

  • In the recent a mobile internet makes a change in internet business. The mobile internet service is resulting in M-commerce. Even if M-commerce provides only information service, there will be much possibilities to make applications in various areas such as, delivery service, trading service, banking service etc. in the near future. Delivery service requires many steps in processing, originally. This study is designed to implement a mobile system which makes short in delivery process. It includes that a delivery man receives a signature on a paper and input data at the delivered place by using PDA at hand. The mobile system will be contributed to shorten delivery speed. It is proposed to implement the mobile office system for improving service efficiency in the business of delivery service.   • Pay Per Drive System은 주행 거리에 따라 세금을 부가하는 방식으로 단순한 주행 거리에 따른 과금방식을 넘어 위치별, 시간대별 과금 비율을 달리 함으로써 교통 혼잡 구간과 교통 혼잡 시간이라는 개념을 추가하여 효율적으로 교통을 분산시켜 교통 혼잡을 줄임과 동시에 환경오염 까지 개선할 수 있는 새로운 대안이 될 수 있다. 또한 GPS를 통한 자동차 주행 괘적을 Data화시킴으로써 차량용 Black Box의 기능 등의 다양한 응용 서비스를 가능케 할 수 있어 Pay Per Drive System을 통해 교통 서비스 기능 향상 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

The Effects of Components of Grazing System on Welfare of Fattening Pigs

  • The objective of this study was to clarify the most effective component of grazing for improving welfare of fattening pigs. This study compared welfare indicators of 20 fattening pigs aged 100 to 124 days (the prior period) and 138 to 164 days (the latter period) in an indoor housing system (IS), an outdoor pasturing system (OP), a concrete floor paddock system (CF), a concrete floor paddock system with fresh grass (FG), or a soil floor paddock system (SF). The last three treatments include important components of a grazing system: extra space, grass feed, and soil floor. Behavior, wounds on the body, and performances, measured as average daily gain (ADG) and feed conversion ratio, were observed. CF pigs behaved similarly to IS pigs. FG pigs showed higher levels of foraging, chewing and activity. SF pigs engaged in higher levels of foraging, exploring, activity, and rooting, and showed a similar amount of playing behavior as OP pigs. ADG was the same in all treatments at the prior period, and increased in the order FG, IS, CF, SF, and OP at the latter. The behaviors and performance of SF pigs resembled those of OP which seemed to indicate a consistently higher standard of welfare than the other treatments. In conclusion, the existence of a soil floor is the most important component of a pasture for improving the welfare of pigs.

부산 컨테이너 부두의 효율적인 운영방안에 관하여 (On Improving the Productivity of Busan Container Terminal)

  • Since the middle of 1950's, containerization has been rapidly spread over the world in virtue of great merits providing to interensts, and the fundamental changes in port management and prot operations are resulted. As the container terminal is a complex system which is consisted of various subsystems, the treatment for improving the productivity is required in a comprehensive fashion, both in each of its parts and as an integrated system. This paper aims to make an intensive analysis of the Busan Container Terminal system, especially focusing on its subsystems such as ship operation system, storage system and transfer system. First of all, the intrinsic capacity of various subsystems is calculated and it is checked whether the current operation is being performed effectively through the formal analysis. Secondly, the suggestion is presented to improve the operation by considering the throughput that the port of Busan will have to accept in the near future. The results are as follows; 1) As the inefficiency is due to the imbalance between various subsystems at Busan terminal, transfer equipment level must be up to 31% for straddle carrier and 67% transfer crane above all. 2) The yard capacity must be increased by reducing the free dwell time of containers in order to accept the traffic volume smoothly in the near future. 3) The better way to reduce the port congestion is to change berthing rule from the FIFP to the Pre-allocated system by considering the ship arrival pattern.

학교도서관 평가체제 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving the Evaluation System of School Libraries in Korea)

  • 이 연구는 학교도서관 평가체제의 개선방안을 제시하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 학교도서관의 경영개선이라는 평가의 본질적 측면과 도서관정보정책위원회의 학교도서관 평가체제 분석과정에서 제기된 문제를 바탕으로 평가체제 개선을 위한 주요 쟁점을 도출하였다. 도출된 쟁점은 평가주관기관, 평가목적, 평가대상 선정, 평가주기, 평가시스템, 평가결과의 활용방안이다. 이 쟁점들에 대해서 설문조사와 전문가 자문을 통해 효과적인 대안을 선정하였고, 그 결과를 종합하여 '시 도교육청 자체평가 모형'을 학교도서관 평가체제 개선안으로 제시하였다. 제안된 평가체제는 학교도서관 평가에 대한 시 도교육청의 자율성과 책무성을 강화하도록 하였으며, 평가결과가 학교도서관에 대한 구체적인 행 재정적 조치와 연계되도록 활용방안을 제시하였다.

Utilization of Planned Routes and Dead Reckoning Positions to Improve Situation Awareness at Sea

  • Understanding a ship's present position has been one of the most important tasks during a ship's voyage, in both ancient and modern times. Particularly, a ship's dead reckoning (DR) has been used for predicting traffic situations and collision avoidance actions. However, the current system that uses the traditional method of calculating DR employs the received position and speed data only. Therefore, it is not applicable for predicting navigation within the harbor limits, owing to the frequent changes in the ship's course and speed in this region. In this study, planned routes were applied for improving the reliability of the proposed system and predicting the traffic patterns in advance. The proposed method of determining the dead reckoning position (DRP) uses not only the ships' received data but also the navigational patterns and tracking data in harbor limits. The Mercator sailing formulas were used for calculating the ships' DRPs and planned routes. The data on the traffic patterns were collected from the automatic identification system and analyzed using MATLAB. Two randomly chosen ships were analyzed for simulating their tracks and comparing the DR method during the timeframes of the ships' movement. The proposed method of calculating DR, combined with the information on planned routes and DRPs, is expected to contribute towards improving the decision-making abilities of operators.
