이 연구의 목적은 STS 과학교육에 대한 국내 연구의 동향을 분석하고 메타분석을 통해 STS 수업모형의 적용효과를 평가하는데 있다. 연구대상 논문은 1991년부터 2006년까지 출판된 석사학위 논문 104편과 과학교육 저널에 출판된 논문 78편을 포함한 총 180편이었다. STS 수업 모형의 효과 평가에 총 56편이 선정되었다. STS 수업 모형 적용 효과의 평균효과크기는 0.40이었다. 이 결과는 STS 수업은 학생들의 과학에 대한 태도, 과학 학업 성취도, 탐구능력, 환경에 대한 태도 및 환경에 대한 지식을 향상시키는데 전통적인 수업보다 긍정적인 효과가 있었음을 의미한다. STS 수업은 환경에 대한 태도의 증진에 가장 큰 평균효과 크기를 나타내었다. 그러므로, STS 수업에서 가장 좋은 효과를 얻기 위해서는 이러한 결과들을 반영하는 것이 필요할 것이다. 향후 STS 교육에 대한 전반적인 평가를 하기 위해서는 STS 수업 모형의 효과와 과학-기술-사회의 상호관계에 대한 교사와 학생들의 이해에 대한 연구 결과를 종합하는 것이 필요하다.

반성적 교수는 최근 교사의 수업 전문성 신장측면에서 다방면으로 연구되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 초등학교 수학과의 반성적 교수 과정에서 나타나는 초임교사와 경력교사의 사고를 사례 연구의 방법을 사용하여 조사하였다. 자료 분석 결과 반성적 교수 초기에는 초임교사의 경우 수업 중 오류 발견의 빈도가 적었고 자신감 부족으로 인해 반성의 결과를 적극적으로 수업에 적용하지 못한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이에 비해 경력교사는 초임교사보다 수업 중 오류 발견의 빈도가 높았으며 자신감과 확신으로 인해 반성의 빈도가 높지 않았다. 두 교사는 반성적 교수에의 참여가 증대할수록 공통적으로 교과 전문가 조언의 필요성을 느끼게 되었으며, 교사 중심의 수업보다는 점차적으로 학생들과의 상호작용을 중시하는 방향으로 수업을 전개하였다. 아울러, 초임교사는 학생들과의 상호작용 빈도가 경력교사에 비하여 상대적으로 높아지게 되었고, 경력교사는 반성의 빈도가 높아지게 되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 논문은 추후 초임교사와 경력교사 간의 상호 협력적 수업 반성 및 수업 개선을 위한 각종 시사점들을 제시하고 있다.

Listening comprehension is an integrative and creative process of interaction through which listeners receive speakers' production of linguistic or non-linguistic knowledge. Improving listening comprehension requires continual attentiveness and interest. .Listening skill can be extended systematically only when students are frequently exposed to a wide range of listening materials with an affective, cultural, social, and psycholinguistic approach. Therefore, teachers should help students learn how to comprehend intactly the overall meaning of intended messages. Practical classroom teaching necessitates a systematic procedure in which students should take part in meaningful tasks and activities. This study purposes to investigate the effects of task-based listening comprehension instruction on improvement of EFL learners' listening comprehension and their attitude and interest. 74 freshmen who enrolled in College English conversation classes in Kongju National University participated in this study. The participants were administered listening comprehension tests and questionnaires. The results show that the listening comprehension instruction through tasks and activities has a positive impact on EFL learners' improvement of listening comprehension and their attitude and interest toward the target language as well.

In the teaching of Chinese characters, making full use of the phonetic function of phonetic symbols can help learners improve their learning efficiency. The research on the characteristics of phonetic symbols and the rules of their construction is the premise of teaching Chinese characters with phonetic symbols. The phonetic symbols that can accurately prompt the pronunciation of the whole word and the homophone characters that they constitute provide the applicable materials for the teaching of Chinese characters. The split method simply and intuitively reflects the internal relationship among shape, sound and meaning in pictophonetic characters. "The analogy method of homophonic character group" and "the converse method of homophonic character group" are the combination of the function of the sound prompt and the characteristics of the analogy and induction of homophonic character, which can not only help students save the time of memorizing the sound, but also effectively increase the amount of literacy. The quantitative analysis of phonetic symbols and homophone symbols is of great significance to the classification of Chinese characters and the improvement of textbook editing.

There are some researches for international comparing of textbook and curriculum, so far. But These researches focused on comparing special region of textbook or curriculum. On the contrary, there are hardly papers how teacher's guide is consists and different with other country. In this paper, we have analyzed teacher's guide of Korea and Everyday Mathematics which is one of the teacher's guide in the many counties in the united states of America. Especially, teaching method, differentiated contents of curriculum, characteristics of consists of curriculum and so on. On the basis of this analysis, we search the improvement points of teaching of primary mathematics and also we make all the primary school teachers realize the diversity of teaching method through foreign cases and consequently they will make use of these results as a reference material such as reconstruction of textbook.

The Survey of Teaching Practice and the Factors of Satisfaction on Teaching Practice in Home economics Education The purpose of this study was to investigate teaching practice and factors on satisfaction of educational practice in home economics education of middle and high school, to provide information for improving educational practice. The subjects were 365 college students who had the educational practice in 1999. A questionnaire was used. The results were as follows: 1. Seventy on point eight percent of the subjects choose their teaching-practice school by themselves, however 25.2% of them was recommended by college. Twenty five point six percent of the subjects satisfied the orientation of the college, but 32.8% of them didn’t. Thirty four point four percent of the subjects indicated the form of practice documents was good, whereas 27.9% of them it needed more improvement. 2. Fifty four point eight percent of the subjects used their own research room. The orientation of teaching-practice school was good(36.4%) but 20.0% of the subjects dissatisfied. Eighty nine percent of the subjects managed the class as vice supervisory teachers, 46^ of them had example instruction, the number of subjects practised at middle school and public school were more than high school and private school respectively. 3. The score of educational expertise of teachers was 3.66 and the teacher educators’was 3.85 The score of educational expertise of the teacher educators who were in college of education(3.87) was higher than in general teacher course(3.77) at p$\leq$0.05 4. The score of educational practice satisfaction in the all subjects was 3.67. The factors to effect the satisfaction of the educational practice were the kind of research room, the orientation plan of the practice school and the management of the class, The score of the educational practice satisfaction was correlated with the score of educational expertise of teachers and teacher educators. and the agrresive attitude to the teaching practice of the teacher educators.

새로운 대학생활과 학습 환경의 적응 및 교우 교수자와의 관계 형성에 부담을 가져야 하는 대학 신입생들을 돕기 위하여 많은 대학들이 노력하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 대학 신입생들의 학교 적응 등을 돕기 위한 하나의 방안인 지역 대학 전략교양 교과('의사소통과 대인관계')의 팀티칭 운영(지도 교수 별 팀티칭 시행, 표준 교재 중심 지도 vs. 자율 멘토링 지도)의 효과성을 알아보고 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 충북에 소재한 신입생 대상 수강인원 31명과 교수자 5명을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구 도구는 대학 전략교양 교과 개발팀이 제공한 '의사소통능력 평가지' 및 '교과 만족도, 대학 적응감, 친밀도' 그리고 관련 의견에 대한 간단한 설문을 제작 적용하였다. 이에 대한 자료 분석은 대응 및 독립 표본 T-검정과 평정척도 평가 결과를 중심으로 실시하였다. 연구 문제에 따른 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 두 가지 유형의 팀티칭 교육과정 운영이 전략교양 교과의 수업목표측면(의사소통능력 개선)에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지를 알아본 결과, 표준 교재 지도 중심 운영 팀이 유의한 효과를 나타내었으며, 둘째, 두 가지 유형의 팀티칭 운영에 따라 전략 교양 교과를 이수한 수강생들이 지각하고 있는 대학생활 적응 측면(대학 적응감, 친밀감)에의 변화가 어떠한지를 알아본 결과, '표준 교재 중심 운영 팀'이 각 각 유의한 차이의 변화를 나타내었음이 확인되었다. 셋째, 전략교양 교과의 이러한 팀티칭 교육과정 운영에 대해 학습자(수강생)들과 교수자들이 지각하고 있는 전반적인 교과의 만족도와 관련 의견이나 인식(강 약점, 개선 의견)그리고 기타 변화 상황 등을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들을 중심으로 지도교수 중심 팀티칭의 교수 형태와 표준 콘텐츠 운영 방안의 교육적 함의점을 고찰하고 제안과 제한점을 제시하였다.

Background: The average hospital stay in most Korean teaching hospitals is longer than that of hospitals in developed countries. The investigation of average hospital stay of teaching hospitals is considered as an important measure to evaluate the effectiveness of hospital management. In this article authors analyzed the relationship of several variables (hospital ownership, number of beds, location of hospitals, number of physician) to length of hospital stay in each clinical department. Methods: The average hospital stay of each clinical department of 184 teaching hospitals was investigated. Authors reviewed the papers of teaching hospitals, that was reported to the Korean Association of Hospitals. Results: The means of hospital stay day of hospitals were not significantly different according to the number of hospital beds and location of hospitals. Only the difference of hospital stay according to ownerships was significant. The length of stay was the highest in public hospitals and the lowest in juridical hospitals. Conclusions: The number of beds and location of hospitals were not associated with the average hospital stay. But ownerships affected the average hospital stay. The national or public hospitals had the longest length of hospital stay. Number of specialists and number of all physicians were closely related to the average hospital stay.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the status of environment-related teaching in elementary and secondary schools. A questionnaire survey was conducted for the study. Items in the questionnaire were developed based on the theory of environmental education and integrated education. The questionnaire was responded to 501 elementary school teachers, 273 middle school teachers, and 210 high school teachers in the city of Seoul and Kyunggi Province. The survey analysis revealed that elementary and secondary school teachers recognized 'environmental action skills' as the most important objective for school environmental education. Contrary to the teachers' expectations, it was found that there is insufficient teaching and learning materials for teaching in the domain of 'environmental action skills' and they could not confidently teach the skills in environment-related classes. For professional development of teachers in integrated environmental education, pre- and in-service programs will be developed systematically in a workshop to give teachers an opportunity to analyze teaching materials, design instruction plan, perform class trial, and evaluate the class situation for feedback. The results of this study can serve as a basic reference for improvement of environment-related subject education.

The purpose of this study is to improve robot motion control in teaching and operating the expert system/world coordinate system (TOES/WCS) constructed in the previous study. The major contribution of this study is reduction of the inaccuracy in coordinated reading and the movement time of robots in macro motion control. This study also reduces undesirable time of micro motion control by using an unit control (UC) and a micro unit control (MUC) in micro motion control.
