Recently, ultra-low latency flash storage devices such as Z-SSD and Optane SSD were introduced with the significant technological improvement in the storage devices which provide much faster response time than today's other NVMe SSDs. With such ultra-low latency, $10{\mu}s$, storage devices the cost of context switch could be an overhead during interrupt-driven I/O completion process. As an interrupt-driven I/O completion process could bring an interrupt handling overhead, polling or hybrid-polling for the I/O completion is known to perform better. In this paper, we analyze tail latency problem in a polling process caused by process scheduling in data center environment where multiple applications run simultaneously under one system and we introduce our adaptive polling selection technique which dynamically selects efficient processing method between two techniques according to the system's conditions.

The recent growth in the use of mobile devices has contributed to increased computing and storage requirements. Cloud computing has been used over the past decade to cater to computational and storage needs over the internet. However, the use of various mobile applications like Augmented Reality (AR), M2M Communications, V2X Communications, and the Internet of Things (IoT) led to the emergence of mobile cloud computing (MCC). All data from mobile devices is offloaded and computed on the cloud, removing all limitations incorporated with mobile devices. However, delays induced by the location of data centers led to the birth of edge computing technologies. In this paper, we discuss one of the edge computing technologies, i.e., cloudlet. Cloudlet brings the cloud close to the end-user leading to reduced delay and response time. An algorithm is proposed for scheduling tasks on cloudlet by considering VM's load. Simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm provides 12% and 29% improvement over EMACS and QRR while balancing the load.

6G network technology represents the next generation of communications, supporting high-speed connectivity, ultra-low latency, and integration with cutting-edge technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality, and autonomous vehicles. These advancements promise to drive transformative changes in digital society. However, as technology progresses, the demand for efficient data transmission and energy management between smart devices and network equipment also intensifies. A significant challenge within 6G networks is the optimization of interactions between satellites and smart devices. This study addresses this issue by introducing a new game theory-based technique aimed at minimizing system-wide energy consumption and latency. The proposed technique reduces the processing load on smart devices and optimizes the offloading decision ratio to effectively utilize the resources of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed technique achieves a 30% reduction in energy consumption and a 40% improvement in latency compared to existing methods, thereby significantly enhancing performance.

And they don't know how to use the other oral hygiene devices usage. 3. respondents who use dental floss(${\beta}$=.238, p<.001), interdental brush(${\beta}$=.242, p<.001) and water pik(${\beta}$ =.180, p<.05) recognize that the result and effect after using them are more positive than the others in different case. 4. Respondents who use toothbrush(${\beta}$=.119), dental floss(${\beta}$=.120) and interdental brush(${\beta}$=.136). frequently evaluate their subjective oral health status positively in case of frequency of using oral hygiene devices and subjective oral health status(p<.05). 5. Respondents who use toothbrush and interdental brush properly and frequently, who are older than the others show more concern about participating in education of "How to use oral hygiene devices" than the others(p<.05). Conclusions : In conclusion, to prevent oral disease, the opportunity of participating in education about correct knowledge and proper way should be expanded. And we should contribute to oral health improvement through developing, executing and informing systematic, popular oral health education with active one.
In a society where ICT technology is converged, the use of various network-connected devices such as IoT is spreading. Network-connected devices are inevitably exposed to the threat of hacking such as information leakage, and countermeasures need to be prepared to respond. Security certification system for IoT devices has been introduced to promote security of IoT products, and for this purpose, legalization and standardization of certification standards and methods are in progress. In line with this, in Korea, as the Information and Communication Network Act was revised in 2020, ICT convergence devices connected to the network were newly defined as "information and communication network connected devices," and the basis for the security certification system is being established. We summarized related domestic and foreign trends and suggest specific considerations for implementing the security certification system for IoT devices in South Korea.

This study aims to compare and evaluate the usability of domestic and overseas XR devices. With the recent release of 'Apple Vision Pro', interest in the XR field is increasing rapidly. XR devices are being used in various fields such as defense, medical care, education, and entertainment, but the evaluation system for evaluating usability is still insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to derive improvements in domestic equipment through comparative evaluation of usability for two HMD-type devices and one glasses-type device that are released. In order to conduct the study, 20 participants in their 20s to 30s who were interested in XR devices and had no visual sensory organ-related disabilities were evaluated by wearing VR equipment. As a quantitative evaluation, electromyography through an EMG sensor and the device and body temperature of the device through a thermal imaging camera were measured. As a qualitative evaluation, the safety of wearing, ease of wearing, comfort of wearing, and satisfaction of wearing were evaluated. As a result of comparing the usability of the devices based on the results, it was confirmed that domestic HMD-type device needs improvement in the strap part.
Purpose: This study was conducted to assess the effects of robot-assisted gait training with visual feedback on gait, balance, and balance confidence in patients with chronic stroke. Methods: Thirty subjects with chronic stroke were randomly assigned to two groups: the experimental group (n=15) and the control group (n=15). The experimental group performed robot-assisted gait training for 30 minutes and the control group performed gait training with assisted devices training for 30 minutes after both groups performed conventional physical therapy for 30 minutes. Both groups performed the therapeutic interventions for 5 days per week, for a period of 4 weeks. For assessment of the 10 m walking test (10 MWT), Figure of 8 on the walk test (F8WT), Timed-Up and Go test (TUG), and Berg Balance Scale (BBS) were used to test the gait and balance, and the Korean version of the Activities-specific Balance Confidence Scale was used to test the balance confidence. Results: The experimental group showed significant improvement in the 10 MWT and the K-ABC (p<0.05), and the control group showed significant improvement in the BBS and the TUG (p<0.05). In four measurements, there were significant differences between the two groups (p<0.05), and the control group showed significant improvement in the F8WT at pre and post intervention (p<0.05). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that Robot-assisted gait training with visual feedback is an effective intervention for improving straight gait abilities and balance confidence, while the control group showed some improvement in curve gait and balance. Thus, we suggest both Robot-assisted gait training with visual feedback and gait training with assisted devices training exercise as a therapeutic intervention in chronic stroke rehabilitation.

Among various two-dimensional (2D) materials, 2D semiconductors and insulators have attracted a great deal of interest from nanoscience community beyond graphene, due to their attractive and unique properties. Such excellent characteristics have triggered highly active researches on 2D materials, such as hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), and tungsten diselenide (WSe2). New physics observed in 2D semiconductors allow for development of new-concept devices. Especially, these emerging 2D materials are promising candidates for flexible and transparent electronics. Recently, van der Waals heterostructures (vdWH) have been achieved by putting these 2D materials onto another, in the similar way to build Lego blocks. This enables us to investigate intrinsic physical properties of atomically-sharp heterostructure interfaces and fabricate high performance optoelectronic devices for advanced applications. In this talk, fundamental properties of various 2D materials will be introduced, including growth technique and influence of defects on properties of 2D materials. We also fabricate high performance electronic/optoelectronic devices of vdWH, such as transistors, memories, and solar cells. The device platform based on van der Waals heterostructures show huge improvement of devices performance, high stability and transparency/flexibility due to unique properties of 2D materials and ultra-sharp heterointerfaces. Our work paves a new way toward future advanced electronics based on 2D materials.

Spatially distributed on-site devices such as bioretentions and bioboxfilters are becoming more common as a means of controlling urban stormwater quality. One approach to modeling the cumulative catchment-scale effects of such devices is to resolve the catchment down to the scale of a land parcel or finer, and then to model each device separately. The focus of this study is to propose a semi-distributed model for simulating urban stormwater quantity and identifying best sites for spatially distributed on-site stormwater control devices in an urban drainage system. A detailed model for urban stormwater improvement conceptualization simulation is set up for a $0.9342km^2$.
