As the data storage device market demands higher data transfer rate with higher track density, TMR budget is to be tighter so that even minor improvement is sought in HDD development fields. Disk flutter associated with the turbulent air flow inside the chamber becomes of great interest for the reduction of PES especially at OD. A comparative transient turbulent flow study is presented in this paper for the reduction of disk flutter with different housing designs.

From '1994 Gwacheon accident of the Electric Multiple Unit(EMU)' till '2004 Seoul subway 2 lines Guui station accident', the accident is increasing at day and the service demand of the citizen is coming to be various. But it does not deal with technical or operation side demands. There is a possibility of saying that the accident of the EMU or deficit operation is caused by the RCM. The EMU where the efficiency is good though does the time passes and it becomes old anger and does not display that efficiency not only the cause of formation accident does becomes. The breakdown about under occurring before getting up an accident, appropriately shifting the parts is to a maintenance very the pending question fact which is important is a possibility of doing. From there is by an EMU, RCM in reliability base grudge is a tool of confirms an improvement point and the place where it judges. From the research which it sees will present about technical development plan of RCM.

Recently demands for the speech technology-based products targeted for the mobile terminals such as cellular phones and PDA are rapidly increasing. And voting-based speaker identification algorithm is known to have a good performance in the mobile environment, since it works well with small amount of speaker training data. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve the performance of this voting based speaker identification system by using the observation confidence value which is derived from the function of SNR each frame. The proposed method is evaluated with ETRI cellular phone DB which is made for the speaker recognition task. The experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance of 2-3% identification rate than the conventional GMM method.

Display performance of mobile LCDs has been improved according to broadening of their application. But there are many demands from market, such as contrast improvement (high color reproducibility), higher efficiency of light usage, thickness reduction, widening its viewing angle and so on. To respond them we have been developing many new types of films. In this paper we introduce new high contrast white polarizers for better color reproducibility, and new film construction for higher light efficiency.

The idyllic housing is dreamed by citizens today. The government has promoted the rural activation and satisfied citizen's needs about idyllic housing through the advanced rural village development project. Jecheon city aims to develop idyllic housing area in Baegun. This study investigated the resident' consciousness and actual conditions of idyllic housing in Baegun by field study. The aim of this study is to suggest data of idyllic housing policy by analysis idyllic housing of actual condition and resident' consciousness of demands. The idyllic housing of resident is aged sixty five or more from Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Second, they want to be maintenance of life convenience facilities, improvement of traffic, necessity of medical institution. Third, it is necessity of variety program to solve conflicts between residents and immigrants and to make community of residents.

If can be operated on virtually any network transmission media and used to communicate each other whatever system platforms are. But, with the enormous growth of the Internet in the past a few years, the amount of network traffic has increased as the number of users and applications has increased. New applications have new service demands for fulfilling user's satisfaction, and as a result the Internet needs to change as well. This paper shows that why the Internet must change to satisfy the need for QoS to accommodate these and performance of network using QoS establishing 5 Scheme has a dominant improvement through a simulator.

The recent emphasis on energy conservation demands an improvement of the efficiency of single-phase induction motors. To take the efficiency operation of the capacitor run single-phase induction motor with auxiliary and main winding, it is very important to select the capacitance value. This paper describes the theoretical analysis method of a single-phase induction motor which is based on the rotating field theory, using the method of symmetrical components. The optimal selection method of capacitance is proposed.

As the flourish of today's supply chain, the traditional model of replenishment will cause accumulation of excessive inventory to the retailers and customers, or cause shortages and inability to meet the demands. To solve this problem, Theory of Constraints (TOC) proposed the replenishment model of demand-pull, combined with the establishment of factory-ware-house to achieve performance improvement. In the absence of empirical research, this study applied the Bean Game developed by Dr. Goldratt to design a supply chain system for different scenarios, in order to allow players and managers better understanding and supporting the TOC replenishment method through the operations of the game.

According to the development of a mobile node and the increase of number of its users, the demands for connecting to the networks beyond the spaces through the existing wire or wireless communications have abruptly been increasing, which not only allows the ad hoc networks to be developed actively but also makes us consider the routing policy to transfer data safely. In this thesis, the routing protocol to send data stably by improving the route stability in the ad hoc networks is proposed, and its performance is analyzed through the simulations.

Modern vehicles require a high degree of refinement, including good driveability to meet customer demands. Vehicle driveability, which becomes a key decisive factor for marketability, is affected by many parameters such as engine control and the dynamic characteristics in drive lines. Therefore, Engine and drive train characteristics should be considered to achieve a well balanced vehicle response simultaneously. This paper describes analysis procedures using a mathematical model which has been developed to simulate spark timing control logic. Inertia mass moment, stiffness and damping coefficient of engine and drive train were simulated to analyze the effect of parameters which were related vehicle dynamic behavior. Inertia mass moment of engine and stiffness of drive line were shown key factors for the shuffle characteristics. It was found that torque increase rate, torque reduction rate and torque recovery timing and rate influenced the shuffle characteristics at the tip-in condition for the given system in this study.
