가장 방대한 정보 도서관인 월드 와이드 웹(WWW)에서는 지난 몇 년 동안 멀티미디어 문서의 사용이 폭발적으로 증가했다. 따라서 인터넷의 사용자나 정보 제공자들이 멀티미디어 문서를 저장하거나 교환할 때 멀티미디어 데이터를 어떻게 효과적으로 표현하느냐가 가장 중대한 문제점으로 부각되고 있다. 현재 메타 데이터 모델을 표현하는 데는 다양한 방법들이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 그 중 가장 일반적으로 사용하는 Dublin Core와 활발한 연 활동이 이루어 지고 있는 MPEG-7의 두 개 표준을 사용하여 새로운 메타 데이터 모델을 제시하고자 한다. Dublin Core는 기존의 문서들의 메타 데이터를 15개의 중요 요소들로 표현하는 것이고, MPEG-7은 멀티미디어 데이터의 내용을 체계적으로 표현하고자 하는 표준안이다. 본 논문에서 제시한 새로운 메타 데이터 모델은 Dublin Core를 MPEG-7의 의미적 요소를 표현하도록 하여 두 표준의 장점을 살려 멀티미디어 데이터를 효과적으로 표현 할 수 있는 메타 데이터 모델을 제안하였다. 또한 이 메타 데이터 모델을 XML DTD로 표현하고자 한다. 그러나, XML DTD는 일반 사용자들이 처음부터 작성하기는 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 제안한 메타 데이터 모델을 XML DTD 쉽게 작성할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 구현하였다.

가상 프로토타입(Virtual Prototyping: VP) 방법론을 이용하면 내장형 시스템을 설계하고 구현할 때에 비용을 절감하면서 제품의 개발기간을 단축할 수 있다. VP는 S/W component, H/W component 그리고 S/W 와 H/W를 연결하는 Interface component로 구성되어 진다. VP의 구성 요소중 H/W component를 구현하는 방법은 여러 가지가 있었으나 시스템 명세 언어로부터는 하드웨어 컴포넌트로 구현하는 방법을 고려하고자한다. 그러나 시스템 명세 언어로부터 생성된 H/W component 용 VHDL 코드는 항상 합성 가능한 코드라고 할 수 없다. 본 논문에선 시스템 명세 언어로부터 검증을 용이하게 하는 하드웨어 구현을 위하여 명세언어로써 SpecCharts를 이용하고 이로부터 동기적 의미론을 만족하는 합성 가능한 VHDL 코드를 생성하는 방법론을 제시한다.

SDAI (Standard Data Access Interface) is an interface specification of accessing various storage systems such as file systems and database management systems for STEP data. Using SDAI, both application program developers and CAD/CAM system developers can be relieved from dealing with STEP physical file or system dependent DBMS operations. In this paper, we present implementations of SDAI on different data models, i.e., relational, extended relational, and object-oriented. In order to implement SDAI, we need to translate the EXPRESS information model into target data models. The schema translation process for three different data models are compared and other implementation issues are discussed.

Recently energy consumption has been increasing because of advances in the industry, and electrical fires have accounted for 31.9% of all fire accidents. An electrical fire is caused by a short circuit, power surge, or poor contact. Safety devices for short circuits or power surges are currently mandatory and can actually detect problems, but arcing caused by contact failure is difficult to detect in advance. This study used an IR sensor to detect the heat concentration caused by the arc. The data from the low-resolution sensor was amplified as much as four times by interpolation to find the exact location of the heat source and were then investigated.

The implemetation of the AC and DC lines on the same transmission tower is an economical and practical approaching that increase the power transmission capacity of an existing transmission corridor. But, In this case, Inductive and capacitive coupling between AC and DC lines on the same tower should be investigated in advance. According to the installation plan of ${\pm}80kV$ 60MW bipole HVDC in Jeju island, KOREA that will be commissioned until 2011, DC lines will parallely operate with 154kV 2 AC lines in existed 154kV AC 4 lines transmission tower. This paper presents the transient analysis results about the interaction between 154kV AC and 80kV DC lines in the same transmission tower.

CALS, being widely adopted by industry, is a strategy to share integrated digital product data through a set of standards to achieve effieciencies and competition in business. For CALS implemetation, creating a shared information system is necessary and CITIS is proposed for that. CITIS shall provide on-line access and automated exchange of all the technical information between contractor and service provider, and the function of CITIS is difined in MIL-STD-974. In this paper, regarding CITIS as a infrastructure of information for CALS, we proposed CITIS server system which comprise global data sharing software, global data management system, workflow manager, and configuration management maneger.

기존의 인터넷 검색 편리성을 제공하는 브라우저들은 사용자의 요구에 따라 수동적으로 움직이게 된다. 또한 RSS 와 같은 고급 검색 요구 조건을 만족시키고자 하는 노력에 비하여 사용자의 요구에 따라 능동적으로 움직이기에는 어려움이 존재한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 RSS와 같은 능동적인 정보 검색 및 제공이 가능하고, 표준 HTML2.0을 따르는 효과적인 웹 브라우저인 EasyWeb을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 EasyWeb 브라우저는 기존의 브라우저들과 달리 표준 규격에 따라 구성하도록 HTML과 XML parsing이 가능하다. 또한 사용자의 요구에 능동적으로 정보를 수집하여 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 EasyWeb의 구현 결과를 살펴보면 향후 웹 브라우저의 나아갈 방향을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

The status of contaminated soils vary widely ; therefore, the techniques and equipment applicable to the soil concerned should be selected and used after careful consideration. Hyundai Soil Washing is physical-chemical separation based on mining and mineral processing principles for removing a broad range of organic and inorganic contaminants from soil. Mobile plant(capacity 15 tons./hr) was installed for this project. The goals of this project were 1) to verify the applicability of the washing process, which showed reliable results in the pilot plant with various kind of contaminated soils and 2) to promote recycling of the washed soil as a backfill on site. The results revealed that $F^-$ and $Pb^{2+}$ in the soil were effectively washed out to a certain level which washed soil was acceptable for recyeling.

E-Trade is expected to dominate the global trade in the 21st century and thus is being introduced as a major policy assignment for each development country. e-trade has the potential to accelerate existing trends and introduce new ways of conducting trade. and e-trade is an alternative to strengthen international competitiveness. therefore, we needs to quickly adjust to this new method of e-trade and provide a number of policy suggestions that it can make best use of. However, successful implemetation, diffusion and usage of e-trade system require cooperation, commitment and the trust of all participating members in international trade process. A number of interorganizational, intraorganizational and innovation factors can influence both the extent to which e-trade is diffused and the level of subsequent performance that accure to participating firms. Considering the characteristics of e-trade, the proposed factors are based on an interdisciplinary study. The research model is based on the theories of innovation diffusion, inter-organizational system, and IS implementation. The factors proposed for this study of external firm factors, internal firm and perception factors.

본 연구에서는 일상생활에서 보다 편리하게 건강모니터링을 수행하기 위해 신체에 착용 가능한 심전도 및 맥파 계측 시스템을 구현하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 배터리로 구동 가능한 초소형의 심전도 및 맥파 측정 시스템을 구현하였으며, 계측된 생체신호의 무선전송을 위해 초저전력 무선 센서네트워크 기술을 적용한 무선 생체신호 전송시스템을 구현하였다. 무선으로 전송된 심전도 및 맥파 신호는 잡음 제거 및 심박동을 검출하기 위하여 전처리과정과 적응 가변형 문턱치를 적용하였으며, 검출된 심박동으로부터 동맥순환계의 긴장도 및 유순도의 변화를 반영하는 맥파전달시간(pulse transit time, PTT)을 계산하였다. 구현된 무선 맥파전달시간 계측시스템과 기존 상용시스템의 비교 평가를 수행함으로써 구현된 시스템의 유용성을 평가하고자 하였으며, 혈압 및 맥파전달시간의 동시계측을 통해 자세 변화에 따른 혈압의 변화 및 맥파전달시간의 변화양상을 관찰함으로써 혈압과 맥파전달시간의 관계를 추정하고자 하였다.
