Given that music is not part of the national/regular curriculum and how music therapy is a new endeavor in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), this study aimed to investigate parents' perceptions of the music therapy given to their children with disabilities in the UAE. A survey was administered to 33 parents of children with disabilities living in Sharjah, UAE. The survey consisted of 43 questions related to characteristics of the music therapy sessions that the participants' children received and the parents' satisfaction with their children's music therapy. The results showed that participants reported a high level of satisfaction with the music therapy provided to their children. In terms of their participation in music therapy sessions, 33.3% of parents co-participated in music therapy sessions with their children, and 45.5% of parents observed their children's sessions. Parents who had direct participation in music therapy sessions were significantly more satisfied with their children's music therapy (p < .05) and perceived greater positive changes in their children as a result of the therapy (p < .05). Parents perceived their children as being able to positively respond to music, leading to positive changes in behavior. Despite these benefits, participants also reported the need for formal opportunities for family members to learn about the applications and outcomes of music therapy. The findings of this study supports the implementation of music therapy throughout the UAE and point to the need for future studies as music therapy expands across the country.

This study tried to develop and implement a class model that can apply the teaching method that can operate learner-centered classes in university education to the class operation of the entire university, not individuals. For the development of the instructional model, the final model was derived through analysis of prior research, expert review, derivation of instructional model and design principles, pilot operation, primary questionnaire analysis, model and design strategy revision, and secondary questionnaire analysis. Shift_N+1 class consists of 6 models, and each model was divided into 3 parts. It was a preliminary learning using video, a face-to-face class for question-and-answer and in-depth learning on the core content, and feedback and process evaluation for individual student. We have built our own computer system so that we can implement this every week. The teaching method model that can apply the learner-centered curriculum to all classes at the university was standardized. The Shift_N+1 teaching method seeks to maximize the learner-centered learning effect by reflecting the characteristics of the subject, and to improve the quality of education by identifying students' achievements by week.
The purpose of this study is to increase efficiency of CPR through comparing the chest-compression quality between rescuer's simplified verbal order method and the continued verbal order method by utilizing voice meter during CPR. Subjects were 89 people(45 people for the experimental group, 44 people for the control group) who completed the 15-week CPR curriculum as undergraduates for the department of Emergency Medical Technology in C Province and were carried out by being randomly extracted. The group division was set for the experimental group as the group with the simplified verbal order and for the control group as the group with the continued verbal order. The period of measurement was progressed primarily(November 10, November 28, 2011) and secondarily(September 3-September 4, 2012). An analysis was used SPSS WIN 12.0 program. As a result of research, as for the implementation of appropriate chest compression(time, %), the quality was higher(p<.05) in the experimental group(102.86 times, 67.79%) than the control group(85.31 times, 55.84%). As a result of research, the chest compression(time, %) in the experimental group(102.86 times, 67.79%) had the higher effect of chest compression quality(p<.05) than the control group(85.31 times, 55.84%). On the other hand, the operation of weak chest compression(time) was higher in control group(61.13 times) than experimental group(35.54 times). The proper chest compression was shown(p<.05) in men of the experimental group as for gender and in over 60kg of the experimental group as for weight.

In the era of the fourth revolution, interest in content production using proven engines in the broadcasting sector, such as Vizrt, is growing. The new visual effects required in the 5G era are critical to content production training. Vizrt has a good production time utility and affordability for broadcast and media content. In this paper, we are going to use this to present a practical case of the theorem and application of the basic training course in the production of virtual content, and to present the basic training direction. In the introduction, the graphic algorithm analyzed and studied the characteristics and environmental factors of the Vizrt engine. In this paper, the production process was studied separately, and the work carried out through engine implementation was presented. The VS Studio Foundation was provided as a practical production case at each stage. The Vizrt engine operator process is important in graphic approach and application, and through the results of the lecture, the method of understanding and implementing algorithms for virtual reality perspective suitable for basic learning was studied. Based on practice, the research method of main theory was to create Vizrt contents specialized in 5G contents work in each sector and to implement graphic production in new areas from contents image. Through this study, we came to the conclusion of the basic training method through virtual reality content work based on Vizrt by practicing content creation according to the subject. It also proposes the effect of creating Vizrt content and the direction of building Vizrt basic training courses.

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the practical problem-based lesson plan for high school home economics class focusing on consumer choice of genetically modified(GM) food. The ADDIE instructional design model was applied. The first analysis step, practical problems were chosen based on the previous studies and the educational goal suggested in the 2007 revised curriculum. The next design and development steps, 4 hours of lesson plans were developed by reconstitution a chapter of Food Safety. Additional learning materials(17 student activity papers, 17 student reading materials, 3 teacher reading materials) were also developed. The implementation step, the lesson plans developed were applied to the S high school students in Bundang, Geyonggi-do. The last evaluation step, the perception change about GM food and the adequacy of teaching method were evaluated. As results, the studens' attitudes and minds towards the GM food were changed. The level of concern on GM food increased, and the ratio of students who would check whether GM food or not was increased. Also students showed high level of satisfaction on teaching method and materials.
In this research, we investigated the effect of a mentoring program implemented in science classrooms taught by beginning teachers in order to support their professional development. As a baseline data, we examined the characteristics of beginning science teachers' teaching. Then we explored any changes in mentee teachers' teaching with the implementation of a mentoring program. The three mentor-mentee pairs participated in this study. We explored six teachers' classroom teaching episodes with their videotaped classroom teaching. Using open-ended interviews and group discussions taking place on a regular basis to analyze and compare classes of six teachers, we extracted the beginning teachers' teaching characteristics in light of teaching strategies. The common features of the participated mentee teachers' teaching are analyzed in terms of (1) classroom culture and management, (2) classroom discourse, and (3) science experiments. Through mentoring, mentee teachers recognized that increased and enriched classroom dialogues had an effect on students' content understanding. Mentee teachers also acknowledged not only the necessity of laboratory activities but also the roles and ways of managing the science activities. Ways to help beginning teachers develop instructional professionalism are discussed.
The importance of citizen as a key of community safety has increased, and the legislation to support the citizen's activities is continued. However systematic and detailed action plans are not enough to something. Thus, the purpose of this research is to develop the educational program model for the citizens on patrol for the improvement of practical use. The methods of this research are to make and suggest the educational program for citizens on patrol by literature review and cases analysis of educational program implemented one years ago. The findings are suggested as belows. First, the learners need the contents can be practically used in the field and sufficient time of education. Second, the subgoal to achieve the ultimate goal of education program model should be established as 'customer-centered, field-oriented, competence reinforcement', and driving strategy must be composed of four stages as plan-design-implementation-evaluation. Also, for strategy of each stage, detailed sub-strategies from preparation to execution of education have to be considered. Third, education program must be categorized by basic-intermediate-expert courses depending on the level of learners, and theoretically and practically oriented curriculum subjects are organized in balance by each course.
This study attempted to implement fundamental data to understand the relationship between self esteem and stress-coping strategies of current students in health related colleges for the development of a program related to school life and guidance. This study involved 244 willfully participating college students from six health related colleges in the Honam area. Data from self administered questionnaires regarding self esteem and stress-coping strategies were collected from November 1 to December 21, 2008. The results of the study showed self esteem was high when general characteristics of religion and a very harmonious relationship with classmates were present. Higher usage of active stress-coping strategies occurred as the year in college and mother's education increased. Active implementation of passive stress-coping strategies were used when religion and residing in rural areas were present. Self esteem was higher as active stress coping strategies (i.e. problem focus and social support) improved. As passive stress-coping strategies (i.e. emotional relief and desire management) improved so did self esteem. By and large as stress-coping strategies increased for college students so did self esteem. As a result, as we search for stress-coping strategies pertaining to studies, practices, and future employment of college students, preparation of a regular course of study that includes curriculum, which increases self esteem should be made. Also consideration should be given to programs that promote relations between students and students and their advising professors.
This study tried to look into what are happening in the 'class for the talented in invention' using COS-R developed by VanTassel-Baska. Teaching and learning activities within the classroom were observed and analyzed in terms of teacher's observation and teacher's observation, respectively. Based on results of this study, conclusions are as follows. First, it was founded that there are some commonalities between teacher observations and student observations. Based on teacher observations, differentiated teaching activities considering individual characteristics are rarely observed, and for students, it was true. Therefore, supplying a special training program for teachers are needed in order to make teachers and students engage in changing their teaching and learning behaviors. Second, on the side of teachers, they usually emphasize the importance of curriculum planning and implementation, problem solving, creative thinking et al. However, they barely stress the characteristics of research methods, critical thinking, and considering individual characteristics and the level of intellectual ability. Third, on the side of students, they frequently respond to solving problems and critical thinking at the same degree. On the other hand, systemic efforts of considering individual differences and adapting to them have been less regarded in both teaching and learning. In sum, for the successful 'Invention gifted classroom', establishing an educational environment to consider individually guided instruction and taking a balance among various factors embedded in teaching and learning situation should be required.

This study surveyed pre-service early childhood teachers' level of concern about software education on the assumption that software education will be introduced into early childhood education in the future. It was shown that the pre-service early childhood teachers' level of concern about software education is the highest at stage 0(95%) and that they have a high level of informative, personal and managerial concern. Thus, a non-user pattern was mostly indicated. However, compared to the typical non-user pattern, their personal and informative level of concern is slightly higher. A 'tailing up' phenomenon to stage 6(refocusing) was shown. Hence, a pattern aspect close to critical non-user appeared to some extent. A difference in the significant level of concern was shown at all stages, except for managerial concern, according to the need for awareness, the appearance of a future implementation plan, and technology efficacy level. Based on this outcome, it was proposed that teacher training in early childhood software education should be made available as part of the educational activity connected with the Nuri Curriculum, since this would be more suitable for young children's developmental level than the early childhood software education, including coding education, etc., currently found in private institutions.
