This research has seven factors such as top management leadership, belt system operation, implementation of systematic methods, adequate project performance measurement, customer focus performance, quality performance and business performance. Those are critical to correct implementation of Six Sigma. I set seven hypotheses which represented the relationships among the seven factors, gathered questionnaires and analyzed the data. Top management leadership affected positively the adequate project performance measurement and the belt system operation, The belt system operation affected the implementation of systematic methods positively and it also affected the adequate project performance measurement. It affected positively the customer focus performance, the quality performance and the business performance, respectively.

Many innovative management processes, which are also termed as best practices or value improving practice, have been proven to successfully improve the value of capital facility projects. With a lack of any guidance on how to implement the most suitable value management process for a particular project, the objective of this paper is to facilitate the VMP implementation. A CII (Construction Industry Institute)'s recent study, titled as 'Development of the Value Management Toolkit,' encompasses a comprehensive structure of value management and provides a new methodology in optimizing the implementation of the value management processes in order to leverage the unique project circumstances, such as project objectives, resource availability, and site limitations, etc. As a pioneering study, the findings contribute to the expedition of implementing value management processes in the industry and maximize the potential benefits in applying the most benefiical value management process for a particular capital facility project.

The research presents the implementation and improvement strategies of scientific methodologies and techniques in the audit criteria of KS certification. The paper discusses the establishment of management strategy and quality policy by the alignment of BSC or policy deployment, the effective handling methodologies of control plan based on SPC, and the traceability of calibration uncertainty and MSA, etc.

In recent years, dramatic advances in information technology have motivated the construction industry to improve its productivity. Computer-based information technology includes Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and Product Data Management (PDM). Most construction industries are trying to apply these technologies for quality improvement, reduction of construction time and cost. PDM is very useful for managing data and process related to product design and manufacturing. PDM system has various functions such as drawing and engineering document management, product structure and structure modification management, part classification management, workflow management, and project management. In this paper, PDM system was applied to the design of steel-concrete composite girder bridge. To make a practical guidance for PDM implementation to bridge design, the procedure for its implementation was presented. Consequently, this paper could be useful to enhance the efficiency of bridge design.

This study suggests the contingency framework understanding the implementation of NIMT and conducts empirical analysis using survey data. The main objectives of the thesis are as follows : (1) analyzing the relationship between adaptation requirements and organizational adaptation efforts. (2) analyzing the relationship between organizational adaptation efforts and implementation performance, and the moderating effect of the adaptation requirements. (3) analyzing the relationship between organizational adaptation efforts and organization characteristics(organization size, technical capability, top management support). A field study was undertaken to test the hypothesized relationships among adaptation efforts, adaptations requirements, organization characteristics, implementation performance. Data were collected from 52 NMT implementation projects of 45 machine tool, metal component firms. The emprical relflts indicated that adaptation requirrnents, organization characteristics were significantly related to organizational adaptation efforts and adaptation efforts can significantly improve implementation perfomance, but the moderating effect of adaptation requirements on adaptation efforts and implementation performance was not supported.

본 연구는 BPM을 구현하는데 있어서 대상 프로세스를 선정하는 방법론에 관한 연구이다. LG CNS사의 BPM 구축방법론을 함께, 프로세스 선정 방법론인 enPAM을 제시하였다. 첫째, 대상 기업의 프로세스를 정의하는 방안들을 제시하였으며, 둘째, 대상 프로세스들에 대해 BPM 시스템을 구축하기 위한 프로세스 우선순위 평가지표로서, 크게 비즈니스 영향도, BPM 적용성, 실행가능성 세가지와 하부기준들을 제시하였다. 마지막으로, 한 이통통신회사를 대상으로 enPAM의 구체적인 적용과정을 보여줌으로써, 본 방법론의 유용성을 제시하였다.

This study researched an enterprise resources planning (ERP) implementation project at a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer. In depth research was achieved by participating and observing in an implementation project at an actual PCB manufacturer. It is hoped that this study will contribute a valuable reference resource for future PCB manufacturers that wish to select or implement ERP systems. The first step in implementing ERP software is to set a clear target. At the same time, the tasks of each department and the system of cooperation between departments must be clearly defined. In this way, the cycle time of each flow and the accuracy of data will both be improved. In order to ensure smooth implementation of an ERP project, the followings are key factors: (1) an ERP system that suits the PCB industry; (2) effective project management; (3) effective project cost/budget control; (4) project problem management system; (5) comprehensive implementation method and information technology (IT), etc. By keeping to these principals, Company A achieved rapid transactions, and lower total cycle times and inventory levels, and other such benefits that had been predicted.

The process of implementing risk management systems for the organizations in financial service industry can be viewed as a diffusion of innovation since the introduction of the risk management systems changes the decision making process on risks faced by the organizations. The purpose of the reported research is to examine the factors that affect the successful implementation of ALM(asset & liability management) systems, the risk management systems managing interest rate risk. Specifically, this paper presents an investigation of three factors from the diffusion of innovation studies; internal factors, external factors, and time. A field survey was conducted for Korean banks that have implemented ALM systems. The results suggest that the perceived uncertainty of market, system supports, and management supports be most significantly related to the successful implementation of the risk management systems. The findings of the current study also suggest a certain amount of time should be passed to diffuse the risk management systems in organizations.

The successful implementation of various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has provoked considerable interest in this subject over the last few years. The senior management, especially in large corporations have been attracted to look at new information technology and how to leverage it for corporate survival and to gain competitive advantage in volatile business environment. Although there is no shortage of positive reports on the success of ERP installations, many companies have invested millions of dollars in this direction with little to show for its success. Since many of the ERP failures today can be attributed to inadequate planning and poor execution in the implementation and closure of projects. The aim of this article is to offer some solutions to avert potential pitfalls in ERP implementation.

Purpose: This study is to develop an evaluation model for analysis of CMMS Implementation status and provide CMMS advancement methods to maximize implementation effect through the evaluation model. Methods: After extracting common modules from CMMS packages and establishing evaluation standard for each module, then the evaluation standard is applied to 33 Korean companies for evaluating their own current implementation status. Results: Preventive maintenance and analysis information modules were considered the most vulnerable in Korean companies which have introduced CMMS packages. And the reason why preventive maintenance is vulnerable is that there is poor build-up of their own preventive maintenance standards. Conclusion: Korean companies which will introduce CMMS need to make preventive maintenance standards, and data of the materials and the equipment to improve the effectiveness in advance.
