족하수 환자의 보행보조를 위한 피드백 제어형 전기자극기 개발 (Development of Closed-loop Control Type FES System for Restoration of Gait in Patients with Foot Drop)

  • 본 논문은 족하수 환자를 대강으로 휴대가 간편하고 사용이 편리한 피드백 제어형 전기자극기를 제안하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이 시스템은 교통사고, 산업재해, 뇌졸중 등으로 인하여 하지마비를 동반한 환자에서 마비된 하지근의 위축 및 괴사를 방지하고 혈액순환을 증가시킬 뿐만아니라 보행을 보조하여 안정된 활동을 가능케 한다 피드백 제어형 전기자극기는 환자가 오랜 시간 보행시 전극의 임피던스 변화나 근피로에 의해 족하수증이 다시 발생하게 되면 관절각의 변화가 관절각 센서에 의해 검출되고 이때의 오차는 PID 제어에 의한 자극전압의 변화를 가져와 설정된 위치에 발목이 도달하도륵 자극레벨이 자동 조절된다. 자극조건은 자극주파수 40 Hz, 자극펄스 0.2 ms, 30∼80 V이다. 족하수 환자 5명을 대상으로 42일 동안 첫째 1주일 동안에는 하루에 15분을 자극하고, 다음 주기는 1주일 단위로 하루에 30분, 60분, 70분, 120분씩 점차적으로 시간을 증가하면서 자극하였다. 이때 근력은 27.7%가 향상되었고, 근 피로도는 22.9%가 감소되었다. 이런 결과를 종합할 때 피드백 제어형 전기자극기는 족하수 환자의 보행기능 및 운동기능을 회복하는 데 효과적이라 하겠다.

Correlation between Obesity and Lumbar Lordosis in Obese Pre-Menopausal Korean Females

  • Objective : Obesity is associated with degenerative arthropathy giving stress on joints. It also amplifies loads of weight bearing joints by changing the gravity line of the body. Our aim is to investigate the correlation between obesity and lumbar lordosis in obese pre-menopausal Korean females. The hypothesis was tested that there is a correlation between obesity and lumbar lordosis. Methods : A cross-sectional evaluation of 44 Females (baseline age 30.77 ± 6.46) with BMI 31.53 ± 3.82 (kg/㎡) was done. Body composition was measured using bio-impedance analysis (BIA), and anthropometry was done by the same observer. A lateral whole spine X-ray was taken in standing position to measure the lumbar lordotic angle (LLA), Ferguson angle (FA) and lumbar gravity line (LGL). A Pearson correlation was used to measure the correlation between obesity and lumbar lordosis (SPSS 10.0 for windows). Results : Body mass index (BMI kg/㎡) had a negative relationship with LLA((equation omitted)=-0.469), FA((equation omitted) =-0.347) and LGL((equation omitted)=-0.389). Body fat rate had a negative relationship with LLA only(γ=-0.385). Waist circumference had a negative relationship with LLA((equation omitted)=-0.345) and LGL((equation omitted)=-0.346). WH ratio had no relationship with lumbar lordosis. Conclusion : These data show that obesity is related to mechanical structures, such as lumbar lordosis. BMI was the most useful index, which reflects a change of mechanical structure of lumbar, more than other variables in this study.

2단 2-암 시누어스 안테나의 소형화에 관한 연구 (Study of Miniaturization of 2 Stages 2-Arm Sinuous Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 대역 0.8-6GHz를 포함하는 2단 2-암 시누어스 안테나를 제안하였다. 제안한 안테나는 전체 반경 60mm중 1단 반경 50mm까지는 8개의 셀을 자기 상보구조(셀의 각 폭을 $90^{\circ}$)로 설계하고 2단은 폭 10mm사이에 비 자기상보 구조로 0.5개의 셀 각 폭을 $720^{\circ}$로 구성하였다. 측정 결과, 동일한 제원과 반경을 사용한 기존의 1단 2-암 시누어스 안테나는 반사손실 -10dB가 약 0.878GHz에서부터 발생하였지만, 제안한 안테나는 반사손실 -10dB이 0.807GHz 부터 발생하여, 시누어스 안테나의 소형화의 가능성을 제시하였다.

어군탐지기용 저주파.고출력 음향 변환기의 설계 (Design of a low frequency, high power acoustic transducer to use in the echo sounder)

  • A low frequency, high power hydroacoustic transducer with 7 tonpilz piston elements assembled in a circular array suitable for marine application, such as the transmission of underwater information and the development of new fisheries resources in the deep sea zone was designed. A modified Mason's model was applied to monitor and to simulate the transducer behavior at each step during the fabrication. The in air, and in water constructed tonpilz transducer was tested experimentally and numerically by changing the size and the type of the material for head, tail and acoustic window. Also, the developed transducer was excited by pulse signals and the received waveform was analyzed. The resonance peaks in the transmitting voltage response(TVR) of a single tonpilz element without housing were observed at 11.33kHz in air and 10.93kHz in air and 10.93 kHz in water, respectively, with the overall electrical-acoustic efficiency of 43.7%. The value of TVR of single tonpilz element with aluminum housing in water was 129.87dB re 1 $\mu$Pa/V at 12.25 kHz with the frequency bandwith of 2.15 kHz and half beam angle of 30.2$^{\circ}$at -3dB.The resonance peaks in the transmitting voltage response of the 7 element circular transducer were observed at 11.50 kHz in air and 11.45 kHz in water, respectively. The value of TVR in water 144.84 dB re 1$\mu$Pa/V at 11.5kHz with the frequency bandwith of 4.25 kHz and the half beam angle of $22.3^{\circ} $ at -3dB.Reasonable agreement between the experimental measurements and the theoretical predictions for the directivity patterns, TVRs and the impedance characteristics of the designed transducer was achieved.

  • 마이크로스트립 단일선로, 직각벤드 및 결합선로의 산란행렬을 multipart r$\xi$twork model을 이용하여 1-18GHz 범위에서 계산했다. 단일선로는 평면형 도파관 모텔을 이용하여 해석했다. 직각벤드의 경우는 두개 의 사각형 부분으로 나누어져 각 부분은 단일선로와 같은 방법으로 해석되며, 각 부분의 임피던스 행렬은segmentation 방볍을 이용하여 연결된다. 결합선로 사이의 전자계 결합의 해석에는 Green 함수를 이용하는 기 존의 방법보다 계산시간이 적게 소요되는 새로운 방법이 이용되었다 상기의 세가지 구조에 대한 수치해석 결 과는 SuperCompact의 결과와 잘 일치하며, 이는 상기의 방법이 복잡한 단일 및 결합선로 불연속구조의 해석에 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 보여준다

이동통신 기지국용 광대역 직렬 급전 보우타이 다이폴 쌍 안테나 설계 (Design of a Broadband Series-Fed Bow-tie Dipole Pair Antenna for Mobile Base Station)

  • 본 논문에서는 1.7-2.7 GHz 대역에서 동작하는 이동통신 기지국용 광대역 직렬 급전 보우타이 다이폴 쌍(series-fed bow-tie dipole pair; SBDP) 안테나를 제안하였다. 기존의 직렬 급전 다이폴 쌍(series-fed dipole pair; SDP) 안테나에서 사용하는 직선 스트립 다이폴 소자 대신에, 제안된 안테나는 보우타이 모양의 다이폴 소자를 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 분석 결과, 양 끝으로 벌어진 각도가 증가할수록 안테나의 가장 낮은 동작 주파수가 저주파수 대역으로 이동하였으며, 이를 이용하여 저주파수 대역으로 이동한 만큼 다이폴 소자의 길이를 줄일 수 있다. 양 끝으로 벌어진 각도가 10도인 SBDP 안테나를 FR4 기판(비유전율 4.4, 두께 1.6 mm) 상에 제작하였고, SDP 안테나와 비교하여 폭이 10% 줄어들었다. 제작된 SBDP 안테나를 측정한 결과, 전압 정재파비(voltage standing wave ratio; VSWR)가 2 이하인 임피던스 대역폭은 48.8% (1.69-2.78 GHz), 이득은 5.8-6.3 dBi, 전후방비는 14-17 dB이다.

New Classes of LC Resonators for Magnetic Sensor Device Using a Glass-Coated Amorphous CO83.2B3.3Si5.9Mn7.6 Microwire

  • New classes of LC resonators for micro magnetic sensor device were proposed and fabricated. The first type LC resonator (Type I) consists of a small piece of microwire and two cylindrical electrodes at the end of the microwire without direct contact to its ferromagnetic core. In type I resonator the ferromagnetic core of the microwire and cylindrical electrodes act as an inductor and two capacitors respectively to form a LC circuit. The second type LC resonator (Type II) consists of a solenoidal micro-inductor with a bundle of soft magnetic microwires as a core. The solenoidal micro-inductors fabricated by MEMS technique were $500\sim1,000\;\mu{m}$ in length with $10\sim20$ turns. A capacitor is connected in parallel to the micro-inductor to form a LC circuit. A tiny glass coated $CO_{83.2}B_{3.3}Si_{5.9}Mn_{7.6}$ microwire was fabricated by a glass-coated melt spinning technique. A supergiant magneto-impedance effect was found in a type I resonator as much as 400,000% by precise tuning frequency at around 518.51 MHz. In type II resonator the changes of inductance as a function of external magnetic field in micro-inductors with properly annealed microwire cores were varied as much as 370%. The phase angle between current and voltage was also strongly dependent on the magnetic field. The drastic increments of magnetoimpedance at near the resonance frequency were observed in both types of LC resonators. Accordingly, the sudden change of the phase angle, as large as $180^{\circ}C$, evidenced the occurrence of the resonance at a given external magnetic field.

UWB 평면 패치안테나의 지향성이득의 향상 방법 (Directivity Gain Improvement Method for UWB Coplanar Patch Antenna)

  • UWB 주파수대역의 안테나로써 CPW 급전의 U-자형 평면 패치 안테나모델의 지향성이득 향상 방법을 검토하였다. 지향성 이득 향상을 위해 CPW 급전의 U-자형 패치 안테나 모델에 개구슬롯 반사면을 부가하여 마이크로스트립 구조로 재구성하였다. 재구성한 안테나는 특성 임피던스 $50.08{\Omega}$에 대해 반사계수는 -6.5dB(VSWR < 3.3)이하이며 지향성이득은 7.8 dBi ~ 9.6 dBi, 전후방비는 17.8dB ~ 28.7dB 그리고 ${\theta}=0^{\circ}$의 주방사 방향에 대해 -3dB 방사각의 범위가 ${\pm}30^{\circ}$의 방사지향성의 패턴을 나타내 보였다.

A Facile Electrochemical Fabrication of Reduced Graphene Oxide-Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode for Simultaneous Detection of Dopamine, Ascorbic Acid, and Uric Acid

  • This paper describes the simple fabrication of an electrode modified with electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO) for the simultaneous electrocatalytic detection of dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA), and uric acid (UA). ERGO was formed on a glassy carbon (GC) electrode by the reduction of graphene oxide (GO) using linear sweep voltammetry. The ERGO/GC electrode was formed by subjecting a GO solution ($1mg\;mL^{-1}$ in 0.25 M NaCl) to a linear scan from 0 V to -1.4 V at a scan rate of $20mVs^{-1}$. The ERGO/GC electrode was characterized by Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, contact angle measurements, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The electrochemical performance of the ERGO/GC electrode with respect to the detection of DA, AA, and UA in 0.1 M PBS (pH 7.4) was investigated by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and amperometry. The ERGO/GC electrode exhibited three well-separated voltammetric peaks and increased oxidation currents during the DPV measurements, thus allowing for the simultaneous and individual detection of DA, AA, and UA. The detection limits for DA, AA, and UA were found to be 0.46, 77, and $0.31{\mu}M$ respectively, using the amperometric i-t curve technique, with the S/N ratio being 3.

Broadband metamaterial absorber using resistive layers

  • The electromagnetic (EM) properties of media, such as propagation, focusing and scattering, strongly rely on the electric permittivity and the magnetic permeability of media. Recently, artificially-created metamaterials (MMs) composed of periodically-arranged unit cells with tailored electric permittivity and magnetic permeability have drawn wide interest due to their capability of adjusting the EM response. MM absorbers using the conventional sandwich structures usually have very high absorption at a certain frequency, and the absorption properties of MMs can be adjusted simply by changing the geometrical parameters of unit cell. In this work, we suggested an incident-angle-independent broadband perfect absorber based on resistive layers. We analyze the absorption mechanism based on the impedance matching with the free space and the distribution of surface currents at specific frequencies. From the simulation, the absorption was expected to be higher than 96% in 1.4-6.0 GHz. The corresponding experimental absorption was found to be higher than 96% in 1.4-4.0 GHz, and the absorption turned out to be slightly lower than 96% in 4.0-6.0 GHz owing to the irregularity in the thickness of resistive layers.
