  • Due to its inherent feature of high-resolution satellite, there is strong need in some specific area to minimize the processing time required to get a standard image on hand from downlink signal acquisition. However, in general image processing system, it takes considerable time to get image data up to certain level from raw data acquisition because the huge amount of data is dealt sequentially as input data. This paper introduces the high-speed image processing system which generates the image data only for the area selected by user. To achieve the high speed performance, this system includes Quick Look Image display function with sampling, ROI selection function, Image Line Index function, and Distributed processing function. The developed RPS was applied to KOMPSAT-2 320Mbps downlink channel and its effectiveness was successfully demonstrated. This feature to provide the image product very quickly is expected to promote the application of high resolution satellite image.

  • Although the process about korea image restoration contents program development and liberalization have cultural and artistic worth, it is not possible to restore technically or cost enormous expense. In the study, it suggest the needs of korea image restoration contents program development through image restoration case. It is revitalize that the study in digital image restoration technical prepare the ground for passing high-qualities cultural legacy by restoring classical film. We think the development of korea image restoration software will strengthen the basis to the new creation industry of high value-added in the global cultural prosperity industry.

  • A novel quantified method based on requirement analysis of image quality to improve display image quality was proposed. Nowadays, the image quality was limited by the poor understanding of the image quality requirement, which led to the critical factors of image quality could not be controlled during display development. Our method was set up to resolve this problem by clarifying the relationship between the image quality level and the effect factors in image processing. Moreover, the subjective factors were eliminated extremely by the image quality quantification. The method was applied in the RPTV development life cycle and its efficiency was demonstrated.

  • 오늘날에는 많은 영상 디지털 미디어들이 존재한다. 영상 디지털 미디어들은 수신자와 송신자 사이의 커뮤니케이션을 긴밀하게 한다. 영상디지털 미디어의 발전은 인터넷과 통신미디어를 통한 광범위한 영상커뮤니케이션을 가능하게 하였다. 이러한 영상 디지털 미디어의 발전은 시각적 정보전달과 시간적 단축을 가져왔다 영상 디지털 미디어는 광고라는 간접 매개체 형태로 생산자와 소비자를 연결해준다. 영상 디지털 미디어의 발전은 모션그래픽이라는 분야를 창출해 냈다. 모션그래픽의 발전은 영상에서의 수많은 영상기법과 효과를 가능하게 하였다. 이러한 광고 영상들은 소비자의 소비욕구를 자극하여 감성커뮤니케이션적인 작용 또한 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서 논자는 영상 표현 기법의 한 분야인 모션그래픽 광고가 감성커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향과 작용을 사례연구를 통하여 연구하고자 한다.

The effects of short persistent CCFL in Blinking Back Light Unit to reduce blur on TFT-LCD

  • In applying LCD to TV application, one of the most significant factors to be improved is image sticking on the moving picture. LCD is different from CRT in the sense that it's continuous passive device, which holds images in entire frame period, while impulse type device generate image in very short time. To reduce image sticking problem related to hold type display mode, we made an experiment to drive LCD like CRT. We made articulate images by turn on-off backlight, and we realized the ratio of Back Light on-off time by adjusting between on time and off time for video signal input during 1 frame (16.7ms). Conventional CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lamp) cannot follow fast on-off speed, so we evaluated new fluorescent substances of light source to improve residual light characteristic of CCFL. We realized articulate image generation similar to CRT by blinking drive. As a result, reduced image sticking phenomenon was validated by naked eye and response time measurement.

The correlation of the halo mura and off-axis light leakage level in LCDs with 2D dimmable LED backlight system

  • In the 2D local dimmable LED backlight system, each LED segment can be controlled separately. This can enhance the contrast ratio and reduce overall power consumption of LCDs. However, an artifact such as 'halo mura' can be observed around the bright object in the dark background. This is caused by the light leakage from the bright area into the dark one. Therefore, the 'halo mura' can be more easily observed in the oblique viewing direction. Thus, in this study, the perceivable degree of the halo mura is evaluated according to the level of the off-axis light leakage of LCDs. It is found that an acceptable degree of halo mura can be obtained in 2.0 cd/$m^2$ of the diagonal light leakage. In addition, the halo mura is unperceivable under 0.7 cd/$m^2$ of the diagonal light leakage which can be achieved with optimally compensated polarizers.

상용 이미지 처리 프로세서를 이용한 열화상 이미지 처리 모듈 개발 (Development of Thermal Image Processing Module Using Common Image Processor)

  • 열화상 장비는 빛이 없는 암흑 상태에서도 물체에서 발산하는 적외선을 탐지하여 이를 영상으로 제공하는 장비이다. 이러한 장점으로 기존 활용되던 군사 분야와 더불어 자동차 및 감시시스템 등 다양한 민수 분야로 활용분야가 넓어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상용 이미지 처리 프로세서를 이용한 열화상 이미지 처리 모듈을 제안한다. 제안한 모듈은 기존 FPGA 기반 열화상 이미지 모듈대비 약 10~20%의 성능향상을 보이며, 대기모드를 포함하면 최대 50%까지 성능향상을 보인다. 그리고 시스템 모듈화를 통한 높은 확장성을 보장한다. 뿐만 아니라 제안한 모듈은 기존의 FPGA 기반 모듈의 단점인 낮은 확장성과 재활용성을 보완함으로써 개발 기간 및 비용 단축, 다양한 응용이 가능하다. 따라서, 이러한 장점으로 다양한 고객의 요구사항 만족, 제품 설계 및 개발 일정 단축 등 다양한 이점을 얻을 것으로 기대한다.

친환경 항만도시 개발을 위한 항만의 인식 분석 - 인천항만을 중심으로 - (Analysis on Port Image for Development of Port-City Considered Environment using Fuzzy Theory)

  • 본 연구에서는 인천항의 인식에 관해 퍼지이론을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석한 결과 인천항만개발에 대해서 긍정적 이미지의 경우 절충이 0.73, 찬성이 0.27로 나타났고, 부정적 이미지에서도 절충이 0.69, 반대가 0.31로 나타나 양자의 고려가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 긍정의 경우 연령별로는 20대에서 30대로 이미지가 급격히 낮아지고 부정의 경우에는 10대에서 20대로 이미지가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 긍정적 이미지는 높이고 부정적 이미지는 낮출 수 있는 항만개발을 해야 할 필요가 있다.

초등학교 저학년 여학생의 성 성숙과 신체상 및 자아존중감에 관한 연구 (Sexual maturation, Body image, and Self-esteem among Girls of Lower Grades in Elementary School)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the sexual maturation, body image, and self-esteem of Korean elementary school girls with symptoms of precocious puberty compared to those with no symptoms of precocious puberty. Methods: The subjects were 309 girls of lower grades in elementary school. Tanner's Sexual Maturation Rating (SMR), Self Image Scale, and Self-esteem Scale were utilized to determine the presence of symptoms of precocious puberty, body image, and self esteem. Collected data were analyzed by Chi-square test, independent t-test, and one-way ANOVA using the SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: The percentage of the girls with breast development was 14.9%. Breast development usually began in the third grade (56.5%). Of the subjects, 0.3% were experiencing menstruation. Breast development was related to grade, age, height, weight, and a cause of worry. There was a significant difference of body image between girls with breast development in the first grade and in the second grade. Conclusion: An effective intervention that can improve the self-image of children with symptoms of precocious puberty should be developed to prevent and treat physical and mental problems related to sexual maturation.
