The MSC is a payload on the KOMPSAT-2 satellite to perform the earth remote sensing. The instrument images the earth using a push-broom motion with a swath width of 15 km and a GSD(Ground Sample Distance) of 1 m over the entire FOV(Field Of View) at altitude 685 km. The instrument is designed to haute an on-orbit operation duty cycle of 20% over the mission lifetime of 3 years with the functions of programmable gain/offset and on-board image data compression/storage. The MSC instrument has one channel for panchromatic imaging and four channel for multi-spectral imaging covering the spectral range from 450nm to 900nm using TDI(Time Belayed Integration) CCD(Charge Coupled Device) FPA(Focal Plane Assembly). The MSC hardware consists of three subsystem, EOS(Electro Optic camera Subsystem), PMU(Payload Management Unit) and PDTS(Payload Data Transmission Subsystem) and each subsystems are currently under development and will be integrated and verified through functional and space environment tests. Final verified MSC will be delivered to spacecraft bus for AIT(Assembly, Integration and Test) and then COMSAT-2 satellite will be launched after verification process through IST(Integrated Satellite Test). In this paper, the introduction of MSC, the configuration of MSC electronics including electrical interlace and design of CEU(Camera Electronic Unit) in EOS are described. MSC Operation parameters induced from the operation concept are discussed and analyzed to find the influence of system for on-orbit operation in future.
Environment perception and three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction tasks are used to provide unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) with driving awareness interfaces. The speed of obstacle segmentation and surrounding terrain reconstruction crucially influences decision making in UGVs. To increase the processing speed of environment information analysis, we develop a CPU-GPU hybrid system of automatic environment perception and 3D terrain reconstruction based on the integration of multiple sensors. The system consists of three functional modules, namely, multi-sensor data collection and pre-processing, environment perception, and 3D reconstruction. To integrate individual datasets collected from different sensors, the pre-processing function registers the sensed LiDAR (light detection and ranging) point clouds, video sequences, and motion information into a global terrain model after filtering redundant and noise data according to the redundancy removal principle. In the environment perception module, the registered discrete points are clustered into ground surface and individual objects by using a ground segmentation method and a connected component labeling algorithm. The estimated ground surface and non-ground objects indicate the terrain to be traversed and obstacles in the environment, thus creating driving awareness. The 3D reconstruction module calibrates the projection matrix between the mounted LiDAR and cameras to map the local point clouds onto the captured video images. Texture meshes and color particle models are used to reconstruct the ground surface and objects of the 3D terrain model, respectively. To accelerate the proposed system, we apply the GPU parallel computation method to implement the applied computer graphics and image processing algorithms in parallel.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of visual representation used in problem solving process and examine the representation types the students used to successfully solve the problem and focus on systematizing the visual representation method using the condition students suggest in the problems. To achieve the goal of this study, following questions have been raised. (1) what characteristic does the representation the elementary school students used in the process of solving a math problem possess? (2) what types of representation did students use in order to successfully solve elementary math problem? 240 4th graders attending J Elementary School located in Seoul participated in this study. Qualitative methodology was used for data analysis, and the analysis suggested representation method the students use in problem solving process and then suggested the representation that can successfully solve five different problems. The results of the study as follow. First, the students are not familiar with representing with various methods in the problem solving process. Students tend to solve the problem using equations rather than drawing a diagram when they can not find a word that gives a hint to draw a diagram. The method students used to restate the problem was mostly rewriting the problem, and they could not utilize a table that is essential in solving the problem. Thus, various errors were found. Students did not simplify the complicated problem to find the pattern to solve the problem. Second, the image and strategy created as the problem was read and the affected greatly in solving the problem. The first image created as the problem was read made students to draw different diagram and make them choose different strategies. The study showed the importance of first image by most of the students who do not pass the trial and error step and use the strategy they chose first. Third, the students who successfully solved the problems do not solely depend on the equation but put them in the form which information are decoded. They do not write difficult equation that they can not solve, but put them into a simplified equation that know to solve the problem. On fraction problems, they draw a diagram to solve the problem without calculation, Fourth, the students who. successfully solved the problem drew clear diagram that can be understood with intuition. By representing visually, unnecessary information were omitted and used simple image were drawn using symbol or lines, and to clarify the relationship between the information, numeric explanation was added. In addition, they restricted use of complicated motion line and dividing line, proper noun in the word problems were not changed into abbreviation or symbols to clearly restate the problem. Adding additional information was useful source in solving the problem.
This study aims to suggest and test methods using an orally inserted guiding device in order to improve a motion artifact by involuntary oral motor such as removing one's dentures and swallowing saliva clinically structured cervical spine scan and to make the optimal image by minimizing motion artifact. A cervical spine test was conducted with 30 patients who wore dentures among those who had a cervical spinal disease from January 1, 2014 through June 30, 2014. As for testing methods, after removing denture, T1-TSE-Sagittal, T2-TSE-Sagittal, T1-TSE-Axial and T2-TSE-Axial were obtained in a normal position and a supine position; the orally inserted guiding device was inserted in patients' mouth; and then T1-TSE-Axial and T2-TSE-Axial were retested. As a result, in SNR, T1-TSE-Axial before inserting an orally inserted guiding device was $22.33{\pm}8.59$; T1-TSE-Axial after inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $25.21{\pm}7.93$; T2-TSE-Axial before inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $14.49{\pm}5.74$; and T2-TSE-Axial after inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $16.61{\pm}6.72$. In CNR, T1-TSE-Axial was measured at $0.23{\pm}0.01$ while T2-TSE-Axial at $0.21{\pm}0.01$. As a result of the qualitative analysis, T1-TSE-Axial before inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $3.49{\pm}0.11$; T1-TSE-Axial after inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $3.95{\pm}0.14$; T2-TSE-Axial before inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $3.25{\pm}0.18$; and T2-TSE-Axial after inserting the orally inserted guiding device was $3.68{\pm}0.09$. As a result of using an orally inserted guiding device, the resolution and contrast of the images improved as the patients' involuntary artifact decreased because of removing dentures and swallowing saliva, and it was found that the interpretation of the images and identification of the diseases improved.
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been evolving to recognize and learn the languages, voice tones, and facial expressions of users so that they can respond to users' emotions in various contexts. Many AI-based services of particular importance in communications with users provide emotional interaction. However, research on nonverbal interaction as a means of expressing emotion in the AI system is still insufficient. We studied the effect of lighting on users' emotional interaction with an AI device, focusing on color and flickering motion. The AI device used in this study expresses emotions with six colors of light (red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white) and with a three-level flickering effect (high, middle, and low velocity). We studied the responses of 50 men and women in their 20s and 30s to the emotions expressed by the light colors and flickering effects of the AI device. We found that each light color represented an emotion that was largely similar to the user's emotional image shown in a previous color-sensibility study. The rate of flickering of the lights produced changes in emotional arousal and balance. The change in arousal patterns produced similar intensities of all colors. On the other hand, changes in balance patterns were somewhat related to the emotional image in the previous color-sensibility study, but the colors were different. As AI systems and devices are becoming more diverse, our findings are expected to contribute to designing the users emotional with AI devices through lighting.

A recent study of people physically falling focused on analyzing the motions of the falls using a recurrent neural network (RNN) and a deep learning approach to get good results from detecting 2D human poses from a single color image. In this paper, we investigate a detection method for estimating the position of the head and shoulder keypoints and the acceleration of positional change using the skeletal keypoints information extracted using PoseNet from an image obtained with a low-cost 2D RGB camera, increasing the accuracy of judgments about the falls. In particular, we propose a fall detection method based on the characteristics of post-fall posture in the fall motion-analysis method. A public data set was used to extract human skeletal features, and as a result of an experiment to find a feature extraction method that can achieve high classification accuracy, the proposed method showed a 99.8% success rate in detecting falls more effectively than a conventional, primitive skeletal data-use method.
The purpose of this study was to analyze kinematic variables of a Mae-ukemi (forward breakfall :MU) in Judo through 3-D image analysis with five Judoka with over 2 years' career (2nd dan, 3rd dan). The kinematic variables include posture, and distance variables; the mean values and the standard deviations for each variable were obtained to analyze kinematic variables of a MU in Judo. From the data analysis and discussion, the following conclusions were drawn : 1) Posture variables : The angles of wrists during right before Mae-ukemi (RBU) were extended from the just MU position(MUP) and flexed from in the right after MU(RAU), and there was a difference in the displacement between the angles of the right and left wrists. The angles of elbows were flexed in the ready position from in the RAU. The angles of ankles were flexed from the ready position to that down position, extended from the down position to that transition, and flexed from the transition positiont to that RAU. 2) Distance variables : The distance height between the mat and shoulders in the RBU(32.2cm) to in the MUP(18.3cm) and in the RAU(20.5cm). during that height between the mat and hips in the RBU(48.0cm) to in the MUP(23.4cm), and in the RAU(30.6cm).
Owing to needs of biomechanical comprehension and analysis to obtain various medical treatment designs which are related with the spine in order to cure and diagnose LBP patients, the FE modeling and nonlinear analysis of lumbosacrum including a partial ilium and iliolumbar ligaments, were carried out. First, we investigated whether the geometrical configuration of vertebrae displayed by DICOM slice files is regular and normal condition. After constructing spinal vertebrae including a partial ilium, a sacrum and five lumbars (from L1 to L5)with anatomical shape reconstructed using softwares such as image modeler and CAD modeler, we added iliolumbar ligaments, lumbar ligaments, discs and facet joints, etc.. And also, we assigned material property and discretized the model using proper finite element types, thus it was completely modeled through the above procedure. For the verification of each segment, average sagittal ROM, average coronal ROM and average transversal ROM under various loading conditions(${\pm}10Nm$), average vertical displacement under compression(400N), ALL(Anterior Longitudinal Ligament) and PLL(Posterior Longitudinal Ligament) force at L12 level, strains of seven ligaments on sagittal plane at L45 level and maximal strain of disc fibers according to various loading conditions at L45 level, etc., they were compared with experimental results. For the verification of multilevel-lumbosacrum spine including partial ilium and iliolumbar ligaments, the cases with and without iliolumbar ligaments were compared with ROM of experiment. The results were obtained from analysis of the verified FE model as follows: I) Iliolumbar ligaments played a stabilizing role as mainly posterior iliolumbar ligaments under flexion and as both posterior and anterior iliolumbar ligaments of one side under lateral bending. 2) The iliolumbar ligaments decreased total ROM of 1-8% in total model according to various motion conditions, which changed facet contact forces of L5S level by approximately 0.8-1.4 times and disc forces of L5S level by approximately 0.8-1.5 times more than casewithout ilioligaments, under various loading conditions. 3) The force of lower discs such as L45 and L5S was bigger than upper discs under flexion, left and right bending and left and right twisting, except extension. 4) It was predicted that strains of posterior ligaments among iliolumbar ligaments would produce the maximum 16% under flexion and the maximum 10% under twisting. 5) It's expected that this present model applies to the development and design of artificial disc, since it was comparatively in agreement with the experimental datum.
As the Tc-99m-MIBI myocardial SPECT demonstrated wide application in the diagnosis of myocardial function, the quantitative and severity-dependent information is currently re quired. In this study, we proposed a computerized method for scoring the fixed defects in terms of extent-weighted severity and for identifying the reversibility in ischemic regions. At the first stage of this method, the transverse slices were reconstructed with 0.4 Nyquist freq. and order 5 Butterworth filter. From the oblique/sagittal slices, maximal count per pixel circumferential profiles were extracted for each sector, and then stress/redist. polar maps were normalized and plotted. For reversibility, the stress polar map was subtracted from the de-layed image and positive-valued pixels were categorized into three grades. The extent-weight-ed severity scores were calculated using the assigned grades and their number of pixels. This procedure was done automatically and the reversibility and severity scores were produced for each of the coronary territories (LAD, RCA, LCX) or any combination of these. Clinical ap-plication has shown that the changes In reversibility scores after PTCA were correlated linearly with the pre PTCA scores(r>0.8) in postinfarct cases as well as in angina, and severity scores of persistent defects in stress/rest SPECT study matched to the regional ejection fraction and visual analysis of regional wall motion of gated blood pool scan(r>0.6). We conclude that the computerized severity scoring method for the analysis of myocardial SPECT could be useful in the assessment of the myocardial ischemia and fixed defect.
This study is to define how the difference of athletic change influence on the last regrasp after somersault in Belle movement of parallel bars. For his study, the following conclusion was produced by analysis of athletic change by means of three dimensional visual image in three athlete of nation. 1. As the picture of S1, there are total used time(2.01 sec), S3(2.17 sec) and S2(2.19 sec). In case of a short needed time, it is difficult for them to perform the remaining movement of the vertical elevating flight easily and comfortably, it is judged as performing the small movement with restrict swing. 2 In the change of body center sped by each event, it is calculated as $-89.1^{\circ}$ the narrowest in S1, $-81.96^{\circ}$ the widest and then $86.34^{\circ}$ in S3. In E3 event, average compound speed is 4.07m/s, S2 showed the fastest speed of 4.14m/s whereas S1 the narrowest angle of 3.95m/s. 3. A shoulder joint and coxa are the period of mention in E3. In E4 which was pointed out the longest vertical distance, S2 that is indicated the highest vertical height as the period of detach in parallel bars. showed -3.91m. And S1 is being judged by its performance of the less self - confident motion with lessening a breath of swing. S2 makes the most use of flexion and extension of the shoulder joint and the hip joint effectively. It was performed greatly with swinging and dropping the rotary movement and the rotary inertia naturally. 6. In E6, as the point of regrasp of the upper arm in parallel bars it is recognized by the that of components of vertical and horizontal velocity stably. During this study, the insufficient thing and the study on the parallel bars at a real game later are more activated than now.
