  • When injecting intravenously of CT inspection, the effusion of the contrast meium can induce the tissue damage with the blood vessel outside. We detect extravasation which is generated in the course where we inject the contrast medium into the blood vessel. And we use the bolus tracking system for the detection of that. By using MPR and VR images, moreover we detected the extravasation in order to prevent the tissue damage. In order to detect the effusion of the contrast medium, we used 16-MDCT and 64-MDCT. Three dimensional images about the outflow of the blood vessel can provide the treatment information which is important in the patient treatment. Moreover we applied the image processing technique in order to improve sharpness between contrast media and organization. And sharpness and contrast was improved.

  • Aspergillosis in the central nervous system (CNS) is a very rare disease in immune-competent patients. There was a case of a healthy man without a history of immune-compromised disease who had invasive aspergillosis with unusual radiologic findings. A 48-year-old healthy man with diabetes mellitus, presented with complaints of blurred vision that persisted for one month. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed multiple nodular enhancing lesions on the right cerebral hemisphere. The diffusion image appeared in a high-signal intensity in these areas. Cerebrospinal fluid examination did not show any infection signs. An open biopsy was done and intraoperative findings showed grayish inflammatory and necrotic tissue without a definitive mass lesion. The pathologic result was a brain abscess caused by fungal infection, morphologically aspergillus. Antifungal agents (Amphotericin B, Ambisome and Voriconazole) were used for treatment for 3 months. The visual symptoms improved. There was no recurrence or abscess pocket, but the remaining focal enhanced lesions were visible in the right temporal and occipital area at a one year follow-up MRI. This immune-competent patient showed multiple enhancing CNS aspergillosis in the cerebral hemisphere, which had a good outcome with antifungal agents.

  • To create 3D sound, we usually use two methods which are two channels or multichannel sound systems. Because of cost and space problems, we prefer two channel sound system to multi-channel. Using a headphone or two speakers, the most typical method to create 3D sound effects is a technology of head related transfer function (HRTF) which contains the information that sound arrives from a sound source to the ears of the listener. But it causes a problem to localize a sound source around a certain places which is called cone-of-confusion. In this paper, we proposed the new algorithm to reduce the confusion of sound image localization. HRTF grouping and psychoacoustics theory are used to boost the spectral cue with spectrum difference among each directions. Informal listening tests show that the proposed method improves the front-back sound localization characteristics much better than conventional methods.

  • In this paper, a position control scheme of the ink droplet is presented for the high image quality and print speed ink jet printer. The proposed scheme estimates the impact position and compensates it by control of the jet strobe time based on the dynamic equations describing the moving trajectory of the ejected ink droplet. Compared to the conventional jet strobe control which is based on the simple synchronization with the position signal of the ink jet nozzle, the proposed control scheme provides more accurate impact position control while the carrier is moving with accelerated or decelerated speed as well as steady state speed with fluctuations. The availability of printing during the acceleration and deceleration states of the carrier moving enables the print speed up and the frame size down which means the cost down.

  • Restoring a low resolution and motion blurred light field has become essential due to the growing works on parallax-based image processing. These tasks are known as light-field enhancement process. Unfortunately, only a few state-of-the-art methods are introduced to solve the multiple problems jointly. In this work, we design a framework that jointly solves light field spatial super-resolution and motion deblurring tasks. Particularly, we generate a straight-forward neural network that is trained under low-resolution and 6-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) motion-blurred light field dataset. Furthermore, we propose the strategy of local region optimization on the adversarial network to boost the performance. We evaluate our method through both quantitative and qualitative measurements and exhibit superior performance compared to the state-of-the-art methods.

  • OLED has good efficiency of power consumption by having no power consumption from black color as different with LCD. when it has white color, all RGB pixel should be glowing with high power consumption and that can make it has short life time. This paper suggest the way of low power consumption for OLED panel using adaptive luminance enhancement with color compensation and implement it as hardware. This way which is based on luminance information of input image makes converted luminance value from each pixel in real time. There is with using the basic idea of chromaticity reduction algorithm, showing new algorithm of color correction. And performance of proposed method was confirmed by comparing the conventional method in experiments about 48.43% current reduction. The proposed method was designed by Verilog HDL and was verified by using OpenCV and Windows Program.

  • The standard volume ray-tracing, optimized with octree, needs to repeatedly traverse hierarchical structures for each ray that often leads to redundant computations. It also employs the expensive 3D interpolation for producing high quality images. In this paper, we present a new ray-casting method that efficiently computes shaded colors and opacities at resampling points by traversing octree only once. This method traverses volume data in object-order, finds resampling points on slices incrementally, and performs resampling based on 2D interpolation. While the early ray-termination, which is one of the most effective optimization techniques, is not easily combined with object-order methods, we solved this problem using a dynamic data structure in image space. Considering that our new method is easy to implement, and need little additional memory, it will be used as very effective volume method that fills the performance gap between ray-casting and shear-warping.

  • The purpose of this paper was to compare the clinical efficacy of iopamidol and iopromide, iohexol nonionic contrast media in terms of their image quality in Beagle dogs with hepatic CT angiography and their application in veterinary clinics. With 9 Beagle dogs, contrast media of iopamidol (pamiray-$300^(R)$) and iopromide (ultravist-$300^(R)$, iohexol (omnipaque-$300^(R)$) were induced intravenously (600 mg I/kg, BW) and CT angiography was done under general anesthesia. CT scan included scout, pre-contrast and cine examinations. During CT angiography, peak HU (Hounsfield unit) and peak time were examined on each site (ROI; region of interest) of the aorta, caudal vena cava, potral vein and liver parenchyma. Any side effects were also examined. After experiments, it was found that there were no significant changes of HU and maximal enhancing time of each ROIs of aorta, caudal vena cava, portal vein and liver parenchyma between these contrast media. And any side effects were not noted. So it is concluded that iopamidol has similiar contrast enhancement like as iopromide and iohexol in hepatic angiography and and it is thought to be useful for evaluation of the abdominal organs by CT scan in veterinary clinics.

  • On multimedia teleconferencing system existing a number of participants, face of the participants can beperceived by visual image. However, differentiation of each participant's voice and spaciousness sense are very hard since voice of all participants is processed with one dimensional data. In this paper, we implemented three dimensional audio rendering system using the HRTF(Head Related Transfer Function) and distance sense reproduction method and determined the optimal location of the participants for teleconferencing system. In the results of the listening test using elevation and azimuth angle, we showed that directional perception of the azimuth angles were better than that of the elevation angles. Specially, we showed that participant location using the HRTFS of the azimuth angle 10" , 90" , 270" and350" was efficient in teleconferencing system existing four participants. We also proposed that distance cue was used for enhancement of the reality and location of many participants more than five.ipants more than five.

  • This paper suggests techniques to enhance coding time which is a problem in traditional fractal compression and to improve fidelity of reconstructed images by determining fractal coefficient through adaptive selection of block approximation formula. First, to reduce coding time, we construct a linear list of domain blocks of which characteristics is given by their luminance and variance and then we control block searching time according to the first permissible threshold value. Next, when employing three-level block partition, if a range block of minimum partition level cannot find a domain block which has a satisfying approximation error, we choose new approximation coefficients using a non-linear approximation of luminance term. This boosts the fidelity. Our experiment employing the above methods shows enhancement in the coding time more than two times over traditional coding methods and shows improvement in PSNR value by about 1-3dB at the same compression rate.
