  • Sensor networks are an emerging area of mobile computing. Networked sensors represent a new design paradigm enabled by advances in micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and low power technology. Created with integrated circuit (IC) technology and combined with computational logic, these 'smart' sensors have the benefit of small size, low cost and power consumption, and, the capability to perform on-board computation. Though this recent technological innovation has shown a significant promise in many application domains, it has also exposed several technical limitations that must be improved. In this paper, we discuss the system deploy issues for infrared thermo sensor camera calibration.

  • The development of wireless communications provides mobility and accessibility to the wire communication users. Wireless sensor network is one of the leading wireless communication techniques. The security mechanism for wired network communication cannot be applied to wireless sensor network because of the limited resource and computing capability of nodes. Furthermore, communication errors frequently occur and the speed is low. Thus, efficient key management scheme is required in low-speed environment. In this paper, we proposed an efficient and secured master key-based scheme compared to the existing scheme. The advantage of our scheme is that establishing and renewing the pair-wise key is possible. In addition, it provides functions such as establishing group keys and renewing it. Furthermore, adding nodes is enabled through our scheme. The master key-based scheme can be applied to military operations and to radio communications for confidential communications.

  • Battles between players and monsters are considered to be the core issues of RPG games, and they are something that effects the players the most when it comes to thinking whether that particular game is fun or not. Even though MMORPGs have enabled RPGs to get out of the repetitiveness into unlimited possibility of expandability and capability of modification of game plays, essential game play process remains still important - the basic battle between the player and the monsters. In this research, we made a simulator to simulate the process of the battles to estimate results of battles by pre-testing the battles with setting up the experience values of players and monsters using formulae needed for the battle systems at the beginning of game development. It can be utilized at a tester to find out a better configuration of monsters in the maps for better optimization of time and efficiency of the battles to satisfy the game planning.

  • What enabled Armany to grow into a world fashion designer is based on two factors : postmodernism of the new spirit of the times and the fashion industry of Italy, his mother country. That is, his capability to connect the spirit of the times with his works and use local advantage for his works led him to be a maestro of fashion circles. Founding on his outstanding ability, he established his own world of unique design, where his philosophy of design remained. This philosophy was a distinctive character from other designers. Since he was founded on this philosophy, his own features that other designers can't imitate are dissolved in his designs. Armany is very suggestive to our design circles which look for globalization of fashion. A fashion designer should look straight at the fact that the final aim of fashion is to satisfy customers who buy it. In addition, he should recognize that understanding customers' demands and developing products with his fashion style in accordance with them are the way to success and study new things continually by setting up the direction of the future based on the recognition. It is essential to cultivate sensitivity to create a new beauty from a basis just like Armany expresses modern women's image by harmonizing rationality and functionality, the existing male features, with female pliability adequately. As well, the analyses of design made by Armany are thought to be helpful in reestablishing fashion design education so that unique design styles may be maintained and future-oriented international fashion products may be produced.

  • The material used in this study is dielectric and ferrite. Because of the unique characteristics of the material, it is easily exposed to external shocks and pressure, which cause damage to the product. However, after being processed under high-temperature environment repeatedly, the mechanical strength of the product is greatly increased due to the change of the electrical properties. In this paper, dielectric and bonded ferrite material was tested for the material properties. The equipment for this experiment was produced and tested to allow Cylindrical and Three-dimensional geometry of the product for the vacuum deposition. For Cylindrical shape of the product, in order to obtain the equivalent film thickness, the device is constructed in a vacuum chamber which gives arbitrary revolving and rotating capability. The electrical performance of the product is obtained through this process as well. However, as mentioned above, with repeating processes under high temperature and exposure to external environment, the product is easy to be broken. This experiment has enabled us to find out a stable condition to apply the communication of the RF high frequency to each of the core elements, such as Ferrite and Dielectric which is then used for the mechanical strength of the Raw material, hetero-junction material, Hetero-junction Ag Coating material and hetero-junction Ag Coating SiO2 Coating material respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose an agent architecture called L-CAA that is quite effective in real-time dynamic environments. L-CAA is an extension of CAA, the behavior-based agent architecture which was also developed by our research group. In order to improve adaptability to the changing environment, it is extended by adding reinforcement learning capability. To obtain stable performance, however, behavior selection and execution in the L-CAA architecture do not entirely rely on learning. In L-CAA, learning is utilized merely as a complimentary means for behavior selection and execution. Behavior selection mechanism in this architecture consists of two phases. In the first phase, the behaviors are extracted from the behavior library by checking the user-defined applicable conditions and utility of each behavior. If multiple behaviors are extracted in the first phase, the single behavior is selected to execute in the help of reinforcement learning in the second phase. That is, the behavior with the highest expected reward is selected by comparing Q values of individual behaviors updated through reinforcement learning. L-CAA can monitor the maintainable conditions of the executing behavior and stop immediately the behavior when some of the conditions fail due to dynamic change of the environment. Additionally, L-CAA can suspend and then resume the current behavior whenever it encounters a higher utility behavior. In order to analyze effectiveness of the L-CAA architecture, we implement an L-CAA-enabled agent autonomously playing in an Unreal Tournament game that is a well-known dynamic virtual environment, and then conduct several experiments using it.
