The Effects of Authentic Leadership on Service-Oriented Organizational Citizenship Behaviors: The Role of Goal Commitment as a Mediator - A Case of Five Star Deluxe Hotel Employees -

  • The hotel industry needs to make the competitive advantage difficult to be imitated in order to remain sustainable in competitive business circumstances. Front-line employees' service-oriented citizenship behaviors(OCBs) can be such a strength from the perspective of organizational system. With an aim of investigating the antecedents of the hotel front-line employees' service-oriented OCBs, this study proposed a theoretical framework linking authentic leadership to service-oriented OCBs with goal commitment as a mediator. A total of 260 cases without missing values have been used for the final analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) is employed using the SPSS and AMOS 7. It was first found that self-awareness and relational transparency of authentic leadership made a significant impact on their goal commitment while balanced processing and moral perspective failed to influence them. Second. goal commitment influenced all sub-factors of service-oriented OCBs. Third, moral perspective and relational transparency of authentic leadership significantly influenced service-oriented OCBs while self-awareness and relational transparency failed to make it. Finally, goal commitment significantly makes an intervening effect for the relationship between self-awareness & service-oriented OCBs and relational transparency & service-oriented OCBs but failed to intervene the other relationships. The results provide theoretical and practical implications regarding directions of leadership styles and HR management in the hotel industry and suggestions for the further extended studies.

  • 본 연구는 방위사업청에서 운용하고 있는 군수품관리를 위한 시스템의 서비스 품질, 서비스 가치, 서비스 만족 및 서비스 신뢰간의 관계에 대한 연구이다. 방위사업청에서는 군수품을 효율적으로 관리하고 지원하기 위해 여러개의 시스템을 운용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 군수목록관리시스템의 서비스 품질을 중심으로 연구를 진행하였는데, 이는 방위사업청 개청 이후 군수목록관리시스템 서비스가 방산업체로부터 년간 가장 많은 서비스요청을 받고 있기 때문에 시스템의 서비스에 대한 연구대상으로 적합하다고 판단하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 군수목록관리시스템서비스를 제공하는 직원들의 근무 방향과 향후 문제점을 개선시킨 시스템 구축방향을 도출하였다. 또한 이를 실무에 적용하여 방산업체들로부터 신뢰를 받고, 보다 우수한 품질의 군수목록관리시스템 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, 신속하고 정확한 서비스제공은 군수품의 신속한 납품과 수출로도 이어져 방산업체의 이익 증대 및 자주국방과 국가경제발전에 기여하게 될 것이다.

  • Microblogging is a Web2.0 technology that is used to manage online interpersonal relationship in SNS. Microblogging service allows the users to publish online brief text updates, usually less than 140~200 characters, sometimes images too. Recently, it becomes more and more popular. There are many reasons, the major one of which is that it can be perfectly combined with mobile. Based on technology acceptance model (TAM) and according to mobile service and microblogging service, this research adds four attributes : Perceived enjoyment, Habit, Mobility, Social Influence. It studies the factors that will impact on the way in which people use rapid developing Mobile Microblogging Service. This research will compare the influence factors and intension to use with the results from other studies with SNS and Mobile Microblogging Service, and then conclude the differences that can be generated in Microblogging.

  • F&B(food and beverage) in accommodation industry is a key service that determine the satisfaction of customers in tourism industry. As the importance of the management of quality gets increasingly highlighted in service industry, the innovation in the management of service quality and satisfaction in tourism industry is gaining high attention. In this research, we focused on the improvement and innovation of the management of procurement process for F&B service based on the smart use of information technology. A case and scenario analysis of the improvements in the management of procurement process is performed focusing on a medium-size accommodation business. Future opportunities and potential of further IT-based innovation is discussed.

  • This study is analyzed how much protected buying and selling service on Auction site affects to the customers' satisfaction. According to the results of it, First, considering that the aspects of the reliability of the Auction site, trade factor affects to the reliability of Auction website. Second, it shows the organized security of the site affects to the reliability. and it could be explained the escrow service has brought the customers to get the reliability of Auction website. Third, the execution of purchasing contract on website affects to the customers' satisfaction. and it makes customers confirm and rely on Auction. For example, carrying out of the escrow service, enhancement of the system for the policies for the buying protection of customers, and various concerns and efforts for the execution of the purchasing contract and so on affect to the customers' satisfaction.

  • 이 논문에서는 OSGi 서비스 프레임워크 환경에서 발생할 수 있는 보안 요구 사항 중에서 서로 다른 번들의 서비스간의 상호 작용에서 발생할 수 있는 접근 제어(access control)문제를 설명하고 이를 만족시킬 수 있는 구체적인 서비스 보안 모델을 제시하였다. 특히 번들이나 서비스에 대한 접근 통제를 유연성과 확장성이 보장되는 방식으로 처리 할 수 있도록 번들에 포함된 파일 형식으로 명시될 보안 정책(security policy)의 구성요소와 의미론을 정의한다. 또한, 원격 관리 서비스를 위한 효율적인 서비스 구조를 제안하였다.

  • This research determined priority of quality improvement of public institution's education service by using ASC for importance and applying Topsis, a multi-standard decision-making method simplifying various attributes and scales of evaluation items and deciding the comparative priority for satisfaction and discussed the differences so as to measure the quality of public institution's educational service and examine the priority of education service' quality improvement. This research classified the characteristics of quality improvement. As a result, it's significant to suggest positive direction and method to improve satisfaction and education service's quality from an angle of demander by analyzing educational satisfaction of education service quality of public education institution and effects on the following improvement.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate how the type of virtual reality content production affects the interaction and immersion that is a virtual reality characteristic, and to provide the platform companies and content producers with the basic information necessary to provide the production and service of content suitable for VR characteristics. Methods: Based on the data collected in the survey, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were used. The measurement tools used in this study were studied through three-dimensional composition, including the characteristics and interaction and immersion of content produced in 2D, 3D and 360°, which are elements of virtual reality characteristics. Results: The results of this study are as follows. Among the types of content production, content produced with 2D and 360 technologies was found to affect immersion, while content produced in 3D affected interaction. Motion sickness has been investigated to affect both immersion and interaction. Conclusion: Service-provided platform enterprises and content-making enterprises should consider content-making and providing services that suit service characteristics and purposes, taking into account the characteristics of interaction and immersion in content-making investment and service delivery.

  • Properly designed and well-executed services enable e-commerce companies to capture the unique needs and preferences of customers, help them build customer loyalty, and thereby, strengthen their competitiveness in the marketplace. An object of this study is the new open-market company and it has only 3 percent of the market share. Therefore, it is needed to raise the market share by improving the service qualities. This article presents a six sigma project for service quality improvement in the open-market company. This study was carried out based on five steps of DMAIC which is six sigma technique. First, a defect rate was defined as unsatisfaction rate. In addition, 50-people data was analyzed and it was shown that the defect level was 2.5 sigma level. In this study, in order to raise the sigma level, novel eight action items were determined based on SIPOC, FDPM, cause and effect diagram, matrix chart, Pareto chart and statistical analysis.

  • The importance of quality logistics service to the enterprises has kept growing considering the fierce competitions. It also asks for the sound definition and the scale explaining the construct of logistics service quality. The current study attempted to identify the construct of logistics service quality and develop the scale to measure it. Various qualitative and quantitative methodologies have been employed in order to provide the solid theoretical and psychometrical foundation of the proposed scale. In so doing, the conceptual definition of Logistics Service quality has been proposed and the 127-item scale measuring the construct of logistics service quality has been developed and found to be reliable and valid.
