연산 특성을 고려한 향상된 적응적 가비지 컬렉션 정책 (An Advanced Adaptive Garbage Collection Policy by Considering the Operation Characteristics)

  • NAND flash memory has widely been used because of non-volatility, low power consumption and fast access time. However, it suffers from inability to provide update-in-place and the erase cycle is limited. The unit of read/write operation is a page and the unit of erase operation is a block. Moreover erase operation is slower than other operations. We proposed the Adaptive Garbage Collection (called "AGC") policy which focuses on not only reducing garbage collection process time for real-time guarantee but also wear-leveling for a flash memory lifetime. The AGC performs better than Cost-benefit policy and Greedy policy. But the AGC does not consider the operation characteristics. So we proposed the Advanced Adaptive Garbage Collection (called "A-AGC") policy which considers the page write operation count and block erase operation count. The A-AGC reduces the write operations by considering the data update frequency and update data size. Also, it reduces the erase operations by considering the file fragmentation. We implemented the A-AGC policy and measured the performance compared with the AGC policy. Simulation results show that the A-AGC policy performs better than AGC, specially for append operation.

  • This study develops a improved gate assignment algorithm and decision support system using its algorithm to extract a assignment result minimizing a walking distance of passengers in airport and maximizing the utilization rate of avaliable gates in domestic airports. By operation support system, it may contribute greatly in efficient enlargement of airport operation and increase the airport reliability through quickly coping with takeoff and landing delay of flight due to weather change, preservation and repair of gate, etc. Also, passengers who use airport terminal can minimize time and walking distance for departure, arrival, and transit, and it may greatly reduce the additional operation cost for common gates through maximizing the utilization rate for exclusive usage gates for airplanes which use gates.

  • In this paper, We studied efficient design of wireless transmission system for unified data transmission in a subway and railway. It is increased that need of broadband multimedia service to make useful environment for user and to support the operation of railway system. High bandwidth is better if we need more services. But, high bandwidth requires more cost at tunnel of subway. More bandwidth make receive sensitivity to bad. So it need more wireless Station. We deduced best bandwidth of subway wireless transmission system reflecting the cost of installation and efficiency of system. Consequently, we decide efficient service model of broadband wireless system at a subway. Subway broadband wireless transmission system is tested in this year, and it is to be extended to province subway. Cost of subway broadband wireless transmission system is saved, because the system can be efficiently designed. Therefore, the effectiveness is expected to be very big.

미국의 원전해체 비용평가 기초자료 및 동향 분석 (Status of Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning Cost Analysis in USA)

  • 원전의 안전한 해체 관리를 위해 원전 해체 비용 평가는 매우 중요하다. 가장 많은 원전 해체 경험을 갖고 있는 미국의 경우 1970년대부터 원자력시설의 해체를 위하여 비용평가 연구를 진행하였다. 미국 NRC는 다양한 로형 및 원자력시설에 대한 해체 기술, 안전성 및 비용에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 전체 해체 비용에서 운영허가종료비용이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하며, 그 다음으로는 사용후핵연료 관리, 부지복원순으로 평가되었다. 해체비용은 전체비용에 있어 운영허가종료가 제일 큰 비중을 차지하며 사용후핵연료관리, 부지복원 순으로 평가되었다. 즉시해체의 경우 지연해체에 비해 사용후핵연료관리 비용이 증가하였으며 지연해체의 경우 운영허가종료의 비용이 증가하였다. 전반적으로 즉시해체에 비해 지연해체의 경우가 뚜렷하게 이득이 보이지 않고 있다. 국내 원전 해체 비용 평가시 부지 조건에 따른 평가를 고려해야할 필요가 있다고 판단된다. 또한 국내의 경우 IAEA의 권고사항을 적용하여 방사성폐기물 분류체계를 재정비하였다. 이에 따라 해체시 발생하는 방사성폐기물 물량 산정시, 선행 미국 원전해체 자료를 신분류체계에 적합하게 활용하기 위한 방법을 개발해야할 필요가 있다. 특히 자체처분 대상폐기물 평가 방법론 설정은 해체비용의 정확성을 확보하는 중요한 인자로 작용할 것이다. 또한 국내 원전해체 비용 평가를 위하여 시설 특성과 작업 특성에 적용할 수 있는 정보자료 구축이 필요하다.

한국육계산업의 수직통합(계열화) 전개상황 (Evolution of Vertical Integration in the Korea Broiler Industry)

  • The broiler industry in Korea has been gradually changing its structure of independent operation into integrated and coordinated production and marketing system. It was in 1960s when the broiler industry first tried the integrated effort, but never succeeded as it was expected since due mainly to growers' attitudes favorable for traditional operation and agribusiness' passive response on structure change. Until mid 1980s, however, a bit of partially integrated system had been evolved by several factor suppliers. Recent years have furthered its progress toward completely integrated pattern, the ultimate goal of broiler integration. It is true that the external factors including the GATT Negotiations through the Uruguay Round stimulated the people involved in the industry to find the way of making it competitive to survive in the open, liberalized world economic system rapidly emerging through the process of globalization. Once the industry realized the necessity of reducing the cost of production and improving the quality of it, the conclusion tended to come to the point of an entire structural alteration by means of integration rather than an improvement of a certain segment such as marketing. It is very obvious. therefore. that the movement toward the complete integration will speed up in a coming few years under the leadership of not only entrepreneurs but also producers group. According to a report. there were three almost complete integrators and thirteen partial integrators as of December, 1990, all of which eagerly directed toward the completely integrated system in due course . Among others as an advantage of integrated structure. the cost saving must be pointed out as the greatest one In a survey, it was estimated that the cost of dressed and ready-to-eat chicken could be lowered by 31.8 percent and 41.5 percent, respectively, over that to be under the independent, non-integrated system. As long as everybody concerned about the future of the industry in the open market mechanism realizes the importance of the structure change through an integration, the broiler sector of Korean agriculture shall be moving toward the direction of vertically and completely integrated structure in order to make it competitive, even to export, hopefully before 1995 or by the end of this century in any case.

대중교통 노선망 설계에 관한 해석적 연구의 모형 구조와 풀이 (Model Structure and its Solution of Analytical Research on Transit Network Design)

  • 대중교통 운행계획 수립과정은 이론적인 연구의 특성에 따라 설계, 운영, 그리고 평가 단계로 구분할 수 있다. 운영단계와 평가단계에서 이루어지는 연구들에 대해서는 비교적 체계적으로 정리된 연구와 보고서들이 있으나 설계단계에 관한 연구들은 체계적으로 정리된 적이 없다. 본 연구에서는 대중교통 시스템설계에 관한 기존의 연구들을 검토하여 체계적으로 정리하였다. 또한 해당 연구들의 모형 구조를 자세히 분석하여 이의 풀이법을 정리하여 제시하였다. 설계단계에서 결정되는 결정변수로는 노선(망)의 구조, 노선간격 및 위치, 정류장 간격, 배차간격, 및 소요차량수 등이 있다. 노선설계에 관한 해석적 연구에서는 시스템의 총 비용이 목적함수로 많이 사용되고 이는 이용자의 접근비용, 대기비용, 그리고 통행비용으로 구성되는 이용자비용과 운영자의 운영비용으로 구성된다. 목적함수로 사용되는 대중교통 시스템의 총 비용은 노선간격, 배차간격 등의 결정변수들에 대해 미분가능하고 미분값을 0으로 만드는 값이 존재하며 2계 미분값이 양수이기 때문에 전역 최적해가 존재한다. 따라서 목적함수의 미분값을 0으로 만드는 결정변수가 목적함수를 최소로 만드는 최적치가 되며 이 최적치에서 각 부분 함수값들은 모두 동일해지게 된다. 본 연구는 대중교통 운행계획 중 설계단계의 해석적 연구에 대한 체계적인 이해를 도모할 것이며, 관련 연구를 활성화시키는데 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

도시철도 운영비용 추정함수개발에 관한 연구 (중간규모 도시철도를 중심으로) (A study on the Estimation Function of the Operating Cost for an Urban Railway (with a focus on Medium-sized Rapid Transit))

  • 도시철도를 건설하고 운영하기 위해서는 운영비용 예측이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 중간규모(MRT)의 도시철도를 대상으로 하여 운영비용 추정함수모형을 개발하였다. 운영비용에 영향을 주는 변수들로서 전동차 보유량, 전동차 편성수, 정거장수, 영업구간(km), 열차운행횟수, 일일수송인원, 차량기지 등의 독립변수를 선정하였다. 이를 바탕으로 Excel 프로그램을 통해서 회귀분석을 수행하였고, 3가지 모형의 운영비용 추정함수모형을 개발하였으며, 모두 적합한 모형으로 나타났다. 이 모형함수들을 적용하여 각 운영사의 운영비를 실제운영비용과 예측비용을 비교하였다. 결과가 모두 비슷하여 유용한 식으로 판단된다. 따라서, 변수조건에 따른 추정함수를 선택사용이 가능하다.

350MWe 원자력 발전소의 발전원가 추정 (Power cost evaluation of 350 MWe nuclear power plant)

  • This paper covers an estimation and analysis of generating cost of 350MWe nuclear power plant using a pressurized water reactor on the assumption that such a nuclear power plant would be constructed in Korea in or around 1970. For the evaluation of this generating cost, an extensive study has been conducted based on the current information on operating and costing parameters of light water reactors, particularly those of pressurized water reactors. Based on this study, a total generating cost of 7.29 Mills/Kwh was evaluated by operating the plant at 80% plant factor. For this calculation, a steady state method was introduced. It is considered, therefore, that a total generating cost in the beginning of plant operation would be a little higher than 7.29 Mills/Kwh, which has been calculated in the state of equilibrium.

The ($\textsc{k}, t_p$) Replacement Policy for the System subject to Two Types of Failure

  • In this paper, we consider a new preventive replacement policy for the system which deteriorates while it is in operation with an increasing failure rate. The system is subject to two types of failure. A type 1 failure is repairable while a type 2 failure is not repairable. In the new policy, a system is replaced at the age of $t_p$ or at the instant the$\textsc{k}^{th}$ type 1 failure occurs, whichever comes first. However, if a type 2 failure occurs before a preventive replacement is performed, a failure replacement should be made. We assume that a type 1 failure can be rectified with a minimal repair. We also assume that a replacement takes a non-negligible amount of time while a minimal repair takes a negligible amount of time. Under a cost structure which includes a preventive replacement cost, a failure replacement cost and a minimal repair cost, we develop a model to find the optimal ($\textsc{k},t_p$) policy which minimizes the expected cost per unit time in the long run while satisfying a system availability constraint.
