It has been recognized as an important issue to design optimally a firm's logistics network for minimizing logistics cost and maximizing customer service. It is, however, not easy to get an optimal solution by analyzing trade-off of cost factors, dynamic and interdependent characteristics in the logistics network decision making. Although there has been some developments in a system which helps decision making for logistics analysis, it is true that there is no system for enterprise-wise's on-site support and methodical logistics decision. Specially, E-biz process along with information technology has been made dramatic advance in a various industries, there has been much need for practical education closely resembles on-site work. The software developed by this study materializes efficient algorithm suggested by recent studies in key topics of logistics such as location and allocation problem, traveling salesman problem, and vehicle routing problem and transportation and distribution problem. It also supports executing a variety of experimental design and analysis in a way of the most user friendly based on Java. In the near future, we expect that it can be extended to integrated supply chain solution by adding decision making in production in addition to a decision in logistics.

As the logistics management becomes more important with the enormous amount of competition at every level of apparel retailing, the Korean apparel companies are expanding logistics outsourcing for providing to consumers better service. This paper studied about apparel logistics service quality, focusing on the transport part. The results of this study showed that the apparel companies evaluated highly their logistics outsourcing service quality that provided from the logistics companies. The logistics companies were providing high quality logistics service to the apparel companies with relatively advanced service infrastructures such as transportation management system and logistics network, as well as improved service abilities such as exact transport and relationship management. Also, it was identified that the satisfaction with apparel transport service quality gave positive influence on recontract intention toward the logistics companies.

From middle of 90's, SCM had emphasized the importance of connection of all companies which participate to a market, and outsourcing has emphasizes the slim structure of companies for pursing cost reduction and service improvement. But outsourcing as '2-1=1' and integration as '1+1=2' not adapt to the advanced market but return to the former state. Besides, it is impossible of subcontractors and logistics companies to execute these strategies which are win-win strategy and outsourcing. So many logistics companies have sharp competition in price recently. Therefore logistics companies have increased the need for a profitable business model and strategy. This paper researches the limitations of logistics market and redefines the role of logistics through the evolution of logistics. Also this paper proposes new role(Logister) and structure(Velcro structure) for not maker-oriented logistics but market-oriented logistics. The introductory case study will help to understand 2 terms(logister and velcro structure).

The importance of quality logistics service to the enterprises has kept growing considering the fierce competitions. It also asks for the sound definition and the scale explaining the construct of logistics service quality. The current study attempted to identify the construct of logistics service quality and develop the scale to measure it. Various qualitative and quantitative methodologies have been employed in order to provide the solid theoretical and psychometrical foundation of the proposed scale. In so doing, the conceptual definition of Logistics Service quality has been proposed and the 127-item scale measuring the construct of logistics service quality has been developed and found to be reliable and valid.

The World has been rapidly changing into either technological aspects or perception of those who has utilised to the corresponding informational impact. Whatever areas we have actually been involved in are strongly connected with this evolution of informational technology in one way or another. Logistics is not a exception as well as trade. Two main routes in distribution channel such as commercial and physical flow of goods, have been operating in terms of I-business. In order to activate E-trade with E-commerce, E-logistics should be utilised and emphasized in more efficient and effective manner of doing job as a facilitator. So, in this paper, it studied the role of E-logistics to make E-trade better work as well as to look into present situations in E-commerce. Then, it was identified that some facilities as 3PL or shipping company have to adopt information in their business process with a view of valued add service providers. This means those who have implemented E-Logistics activities, should be more competitive in the market, only when they provide the value-added total logistics services.

급속한 성장세를 보이고 있는 전자상거래 시대에 있어서 다품종 소량거래가 일반화되고 이들 주문품을 고객에게 전달하기 위한 물류서비스의 수요가 증가하고 있다 전자상거래로 인해 특히 증가한 물류수요에 대한 서비스를 제공하고 있는 택배업은 선진국의 경우 기본적인 물류운송서비스 외에 다양한 부가서비스를 제공함으로써 고객들을 유인하고 있으며 효과적인 고객만족 서비스를 구현하기 위한 전략을 수행하고 있다 또한 국제화, 세계화의 흐름에 따라 물류서비스도 국제성을 띄고 있으므로 고객의 국제물류수요에 대응한 국제물류네트워크가 구축되어 유기적이며 효과적인 물류서비스를 제공하고 있다. 그러나 한국물류기업의 경우 아직 국내서비스에 집중되어 있고 국제물류서비스에는 국제적인 네트워크의 구축 미흡으로 인해 효과적인 서비스를 수행하지 못한 상태이다. 또한 선진물류기업에 비해 고객을 위한 부가서비스가 부족하다. 따라서 한국 물류기업들은 부가서비스의 확충과 국제네트워크의 구축 및 보다 세련된 물류상품을 개발하여 국제경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

Korean logistics industry have been focused on transportation business. However, with the expansion of the electronic commerce and on-line shopping, delivery service is now dramatically growing. Despite the expansion of logistics market, the domestic logistics industry have significant structural problems such as low productivity comparing with the advanced countries, relatively high cost and shortage of human resources and lack of professionalism of people in the industry. Logistics companies reallocate employees, use subcontractors, expand consignment and training the employees to overcome the labor shortages but it has some limits. In recognition of the importance of labor in the logistics industry, financial support and investment have increased. Logistics companies tend to hire consultants, set up logistics department or R&D center in order to establish highly productive logistics process and system so it is viewed that there will be considerable demands of human resources in the logistics industry. This study indicates implications and development direction of human resources in the logistics industry by looking into prospect and characteristic of the industry, employment status, training programs and qualification requirements.

Currently, Korea is actually increasing and increasing demand for leisure such as parts for A/S of automobile parts of the car, as well as trends in borrowing and finished parts are also required a steady increase in automobile traffic daetsu. There is one car and want to be driving a car A/S parts supplier smoothly for many years and that it is often the case if it is not supplied in a timely fashion, it is a reality that many eonseong hear from customers. These symptoms can be confirmed that the logistics systems of a system of selling auto parts supplier but above all a problem for several reasons, which will be considered as areas for improvement should be done urgently. 물류공동화는 운송부분에서의 공동화로 시작되어 최근에는 배송과 보관 등 물류의 전 분야에서 도입되고 있으며, 물류공동화에 의한 효율성은 여러 형태로 입증되고 있어 많은 부분에서 물류공동화를 적극적으로 도입하고 있다. 그러나 현재 추진 또는 시행되고 있는 물류공동화는 도로를 중심으로 공동간선수송, 공동배송, 공동보관 등이 시행되고 있는 실정이다. 또한 국가주도의 물류단지에서의 공동화와 민간부분에서의 공동화가 활발히 시행되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 환경 친화적인 수송수단으로 부각되고 있는 철도부분에서의 물류공동화 도입방안에 대하여 검토하였다. 기존 철도분야에서의 물류공동화 사례 분석 등을 시행하고, 향후 철도에서 물류공동화 도입이 가능한 분야들 중 간선수송에서의 공동화뿐만 아니라 철도역에서의 보관, 배송부문에서의 물류공동화 도입 방안 등에 대하여 검토를 시행하고 도입방안을 제시하였다.

Purpose - This paper investigates the causal relationship between logistics infrastructure development and the economic growth of Korea. Considering the industrial and economic structure of Korea, it is likely that logistics infrastructure is positively associated with the economic growth of the country. Design/methodology - The causal relationship between logistics infrastructure and economic development is estimated using Vector Autoregressive (VAR) and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) considering long-run equilibrium between the two factors. To this end, a dataset consisting of 7 logistics infrastructure proxies and 5 economic growth indicators covering the period of 1990-2017 is used. Findings - It was found that causality, in general, runs from logistics infrastructure development to economic growth. Specifically, the results indicate that maritime transport is positively associated with the economic growth of Korea in terms of GDP and international trade. In addition, other modes of transport also have a positive impact on either the GDP or international trade of Korea. Originality/value - While existing studies in this area are based on either regional observations or a specific mode of transport, this study presents empirical evidence on causality between logistics infrastructure and the economic growth of Korea using a more comprehensive dataset. In addition, the findings in this paper can provide valuable implications for transport infrastructure development policies.
