  • For efficient maintenance on urban transit infrastructure, computerized system using wireless communication system which allows to inquire necessary data and to record maintenance work on the spot in realtime is required. Also, for efficient maintenance progress on urban transit infrastructure which have geographic data, computerized system united with geographic information system that offers visual information is required. In this paper, investigations on new IT technology and on computerized system of foreign country are conducted. And development direction and model of computerized system for maintenance on urban transit infrastructure are proposed.

Factors Affecting Usage of E-Marketplace - E-Business Infrastructure, Expectation of Competitive Advantages, and Perceived Barriers (E-마켓플레이스의 활용도, 경쟁우위 기대수준, 인지된 장벽, E-비즈니스기반구조 간의 인과관계에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze factors affecting usage of b2b e-marketplace. For this purpose, we suggest a research framework where the factors are e-business infrastructure, expectation of competitive advantages and perceived barriers with current and future usages as result variables. For empirical test, 219 companies are surveyed and 177 valid ones among them are analyzed. In result, e-business infrastructure and competitive advantage affect to both current and future usage positively and perceived barriers affect to future usage negatively. The results shows the following two: First, many companies expect improvement of competitive advantages such as bargaining power and efficiency by usage of e-marketplace. Second, for more aggressive usage of e-marketplace, it is important not only to build e-business infrastructure but also to resolve perceived barriers.

  • ISO/IEC 15118 is a standard for communications and services for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Although this standard deals only with data communication between an electric vehicle and a charge station, communication with the outside is essential for establishing an authentication system for vehicle certification and V2G service for electric power transmission. In this study, it was designed to verify the information of electric car charging infrastructure in electric power system through communication link between ISO/IEC 15118 electric vehicle model and IEC 61850 standard MMS protocol. This is demonstrated in the field so that the electric vehicle communication data is linked with the micro grid management system. This could be used as an element technology in other distributed power sources as well as electric cars in the future.

  • One of the landslide, Debris flow means flow mixed of rocks, gravels, sand and soil with water. Debris flow occurred in summer by passed the rainy season and typhoon. Especially, Localized heavy rain derived from abnormal weather caused debris flow independent of season. It is increase to collapse of house, bridge, roads by debris flow but countermeasure studies about occurrence cause, movement pattern, damage scale about debris flow are insufficient. This study performed debris flow model experiment using dry material and calculated shock force predicted debris flow occurrence.

  • Basically within a special regional area, a regional cluster seems to be based on core competencies of individual intra-cluster companies and collaboration among them. Information infrastructure has been emphasized as on one of competitive factors of a regional cluster, and it can be organized using collaboration system architecture integrated with each company's internal systems for efficient supply chain operation. As one of technical methods to prepare the system infrastructure supporting the collaboration of companies in a regional cluster, the Web Services can be effectively used. In this paper, a collaborative information system infrastructure for a regional cluster is suggested within the scope of supply chain management. And the efficiency of the proposed alternative is appraised with the features of a regional cluster.

Hysteresis modeling for cyclic behavior of concrete-steel composite joints using modified CSO

  • Concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) column joints with composite beams have been widely used as lateral loading resisting elements in civil infrastructure. To better utilize these innovative joints for the application of structural seismic design and analysis, it is of great importance to investigate the dynamic behavior of the joint under cyclic loading. With this aim in mind, a novel phenomenal model has been put forward in this paper, in which a Bouc-Wen hysteresis component is employed to portray the strength and stiffness deterioration phenomenon caused by increment of loading cycle. Then, a modified chicken swarm optimization algorithm was used to estimate the optimal model parameters via solving a global minimum optimization problem. Finally, the experimental data tested from five specimens subjected to cyclic loadings were used to validate the performance of the proposed model. The results effectively demonstrate that the proposed model is an easy and more realistic tool that can be used for the pre-design of CFST column joints with reduced beam section (RBS) composite beams.

  • Recently, lots of damages have been lost because large magnitude earthquakes were occurred in the world. It has been increased the number of earthquakes in Korea. It needs improvement required for the repair of deteriorated reservoirs, reinforcement and raised reservoir coping with climate change and earthquake. This study aims to investigate the seismic behavior of deterioration reservoir levee using dynamic centrifugal model test. Therefore, two case tests in centrifugal field of 60 g, the result has provided the influence on the acceleration response, displacement, settlement and the pore water pressure of the reservoir with earthquakes. From the results larger displacement and acceleration response at the front side of reservoir embankment with poor-fabricated core in seismic condition may degrade overall stability. Reasonable reinforcement method of the raised reservoir embankment is required for ensuring long-term stability on earthquake.

  • The thesis examines new innovation of various aspect to overcome lots of problems which come by when we execute simplification of trade procedure and administration fairly. Practical implications regarding the innovation of electronic trade infrastructure are as follows. First, it will propel the standardization of electronic trade section in the technical side and the construction atmosphere of international authentication system must be created. The work process should be redesigned in order to implement export-import procedures that meet the relevant standards. Second, the improvement of system for electronic process is necessary in the law and institutional aspect. In order to eliminate any obstacles to the trade procedure, clearer legal grounds regarding legitimate controls and minimum necessity must be established. Also, laws should be revised to admit mutual recognition among certification organizations, in lieu of international agreement-based mutual recognition between government. Third, the detailed improvement for the integration of the electronic trade infrastructure will be demanded. Additionally, user-centered quality management protocols should be established via connections with the systems already existing in governmental bodies. Fourth, various trade institution should harmonized and interconnected with other partners through mutual cooperation for standardization of operational system. A system which can monitor and remotely diagnose and resolve system errors should be established to provide tailor-made service and improve operational efficiency. At the same time, it is necessary to build a cooperative system to share information and promote comprehensive management for efficient operation.

  • The collapse of cut slope near national roads in Korea mostly occurs in every summer when typhoon or localized heavy rain comes. Such collapse brings about a loss of many lives and property and recently the damage is on rapidly increasing trend. Therefore, we may reduce the loss of many lives and property in great deals if we can predict and prepare for the collapse of cut slope. However, it is not easy to predict collapse because there are many factors causing collapse in combination and all they have different levels of contribution. Therefore, this study completed prediction formula by using a statistic technique for quantitative analysis on the interaction of those factors so as to predict the stability of slopes. Consequently, it is judged that effective slope management will be possible by selecting dangerous slopes quantitatively among cut slopes near national roads and by preparing for the collapse in advance.

  • A model is presented in this paper to provide understanding of the supply chain integration and supply chain information practices' impact on the manufacturing industries. The supply chain information practices play a crucial role in sharing information between the members of SC network. Thus, it is important to develop a comprehensive understanding of the differences and similarities among ISI and information management. It will allow firms to systematically evaluate and carefully choose the information strategy. The empirical findings of this research offer essential and interesting insights about what role SCI, supply chain information and Supply chain ISI play in determining Malaysia's financial performance. The theoretical gaps addressed in this study are of significant importance, since a little empirical evidence is available regarding system infrastructure and supply chain information management's effectiveness. This research provides further paths of exploring system infrastructure and information management, thereby defining the manufacturing industries' next step in SCM struggle i.e. modifying total integrated SC principle in other manufacturing firms. The Resource-based theory discovered organizational resources as an essential organizational success ingredient. Therefore, in order to recognize its potential value, internal resources, for instance, information system and management must be fully utilized.
